I want to create a security log in that start up when the computer is turn on.Im having problem on multi user once the user ID is logged in it also logged in in another computer, i dont know how to add this codes can some one help me this is my code in my log in form. im using vb.net 2005 and back end is MySQL.

I created 3 timers, i want each timer to take turn start which means timer1 stop then timer2 start, once timer2 stop timer3 start. But my code seem to be running together once i click the play button.And is there any ways to easy control how my picturebox move? Because my code for controlling it movement need to keep finding the correct number for it to move.

On programming assignment without having any real experience in vb. I guess I don't understand subroutines that well. When the program runs it never goes to the computer's turn and does not update the users score either. This assignment is already in but would like to know what is going wrong. I have to create an online application which i can apply it on every employee's computer in my company and i have create the application on visual basic 2008 and SQL 2005 using windows application and database. The problem is i do not understand how am i going to run the application on every employee's conputer. Because i have create the application on my computer, must i install SQL on every employee's computer? or any other software i have to used.

I have a project in which we would like to do the following :Install a service that perform several tasks. this would be put on Computer A and B.Another computer C serves as a witness; At start, only A is running because the work it performs cannot be duplicated;Should A fail, then B must start. C should be the one that verify is one is running or not;Sholud A return back up after a fail, then B still runs and A is on stand-by;Should B then fail, C start A services,And So On.Is it possible, if so how ? Both A and B have a SQL server 2008 on them but this part is taken care of for us.I tried stopping a service (that I know is running) and it dosn't seem to work.[code]In this case, strServiceName is "Communication Interface" which is a service I recently add and started manually.I am running under windows 7.

I'm writing an installation program that needs to create a new Folder in the "Program Files (x86)" folder. I'm getting the following security exception:

Right now I can add background music in my program by using this code
My.Computer.Audio.Play(My.Resources.Music_3, AudioPlayMode.Background)
I can also turn it off and change the music by using this code
My.Computer.Audio.Stop()
My.Computer.Audio.Play(My.Resources.Another_Music, AudioPlayMode.BackgroundLoop)
Is it possible to pause the music then if I resume the music it will just continue the flow? I mean if I pause the background music in 33 seconds and the music has 50 seconds and I resume it will just continue playing in 33,34,35 etc.. seconds?

I'm creating what I believe is an mdi app.I have a login form.I have a class for security.My login form creates an instance of the security class. There are all kinds of security parameters for each user (permissions to different things, etc.)These parameters are part of my security class.Once the user logs in, many other forms will all be opened and closed within the main mdi frame.All of these other forms need the information of the security class to know what the user has permission to do.Do I have to create a new instance of security class for every form in my project? Isn't there a way to store this stuff globally somehow. Retrieve once from the db at the start of the app during login and just get it from this global area everytime?

I need some help in the creation of a program to generate a security code based on the current date. I need to create something that first multiplies the MMDDYY (ie X=MM * DD * YY) then also adds the MMDDYY then finds the remainder and then multiplies but a specified number. I would like to create a small program that sits in the system tray with this code displayed. The code will always need to be 6 characters, so I might need to pad it with zeros. It has been years since I took basic VB, and I am really rusty.

I have made my application to start automaticly when windows start (registry ../currentversion/run/appname + path). In this mode the application start minimized and an little icon appear in the notification icon area. With this icon you can maximize the app or exit it.If you exit the app and start it again using the Menu (Start/programs etc) than the application start in minimized mode (and in this case I would like to have it in normal mode) because the setting autostart is still true.Is there a way you can detect when the application start when windows startup using the above registry or when people click on an icon in the programs menu (or desktop)?

i am trying to create computer guessing game for my college. computer guess my number like i have random number in my head for example 45 then the first computer guess is 50 then i tell the computer that is too high then the next guess is 25 then i click low then it goes on i cant figure out how to make it run it like when i click on high it supose to get the number low then when i click on low then it suspose to go low but it doesnt.
