I need to create a windows app for tablet to get signature.VS2008 do not have any control for it.Does vs2010 have this kind of control so that user can use pen to create signature in tablet?
View 1 RepliesI'm planning on using the Smart Device Framework 2.3 to use the signature control panel in a Windows Mobile 5 application using the compact framework 3.5.
The control has the option to save the signature as either a byte array of points, or as a bitmap. Now seeing as I want to store the signature in a sql compact database, I guess the byte array is going to be better. The trouble is, I'm not sure how to render that in a full WinForms application after I've transferred it back to the desktop.
I need to show the signature on a report, so it would need to be an image I could link/embed into the report.
I am trying to create a signature from a private key that i have been provided and a hashed value. I am using DSA and the following code but receive the following error:

I've written an application using Visual Basic 2008 Express. It's intended for widespread use on individual PCs running Windows XP (Service Pack 2) and later. It has been found to work nicely with XP, Vista and Windows 7. The queston: Will it work on the Windows operating systems used on tablet/slate computers - particularly Windows CE 6.0R3 and Windows 7?
View 5 RepliesI have created a program in VB.Net using Visual Studio 2008, the program works fine and everything is working until I try to install it.I need to be able to add it to a flash drive so I can load it up on a handheld device. I have gone through the publish wizard on my PC and created the Application Manifest and other Files on my PC, I have then copied this folder onto a memory stick and then accessed it through the handheld and run the set up. everything seems to work but when I try and access the program I get an error message stating that the program can not find the database file; it tells me to check the path [Data Source = database1.sdf] i have searched for my database and it does not appear that it has been deployed.No idea what the problem could be as this is the first time I have tried deploying an SQL Server compact database with a program.The device I am deploying too is a panasonic Toughbook which is running Windows XP, it already contains an application which runs an SQL Server DB.

Hooking the mouse, preventing actual mouse clicks when the mouse is over the control form and calling the click events manually did the trick I've recently been working on a virtual game pad to be controlled by a mouse (or more likely a touch screen on a tablet UPC). It is nearing completion and works exactly as I had hoped except for one issue. I created a topic about it in the VB6 section though as of yet I havn't found a working solution. I consider porting it to .NET if anyone here can give some insight.

Ive been able to successfully load a shortcut file and parse its Lnk File Structure but now Im on the Shell Item ID List structure but I cannot find the Structure of the ITEMIDLIST anywhere

I've done the code above. But after i draw a signature on the picturebox and when the mouse leave the picture box, this error "Unable to cast object of type 'System.EventArgs' to type 'System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs'."
I am able to detect the infected hash value, can I delete or remove this infected hash value from this file?Delete A File Signature?
View 1 RepliesI try to run my Authenticode signed app on a clean Vista PC (not internet connection available ever). I have a look in Internet Explorer if the root certificate (Trustcenter) is there, and it is not. I get the message that the reference could not be resolved, and when I click file properties and have a look at the certificate, it says "The certificate for the signature could not be confirmed". Is that a normal behaviour? I mean does the computer need to have the root certificate from Trustcenter installed?

This is from one of the samples from MS. The signature displays on screen just fine but I need to convert this to a bmp or jpg so I can save it to disk and/or print it on a report.

I have tried creating a new bitmap from the image property of pictSignature but it is empty even though it has an image displayed on screen. This is the first time I have tried to work with this type of coding and am totally at a loss as to what I need to do to get a bitmap from the data.
