Created An Access Database - Display Items In The Database Base On The Criteria Selected By The User

I have created an access database which i want to search with vb.net, I tried a few thing but it didnt work as desired.
Firstly the program is suppose to display items in the database base on the criteria selected by the user. what i've succefssfully done so far is I've added a datagrid 2 combobox, 1 (searchcbo) with the columns in the database and the other (searchcbo1) will autoload the items under the column selected in and a button (searchbtn) but i have no clue of the code to put in the button. i also tried the fill method but that didnt work as i wanted to. ultimately i want a combobox with the list of columns and a textbox to enter criteria and of course a search button.
The searchbtn should act as the "WHERE" sql command, e.g. SELECT EmployeeNumber, Firstname, LastName, Phone, Location....etc FROM CallLog WHERE searchcbo.text = searchcbo1.text And display the results in the datagrid.

I want to transfer multiple items selected from a listbox to an access 2007 database using a parameterized query.When I select certain items from the listbox, only first item selected gets stored in the database.Other values selected are not written to the database.My code is as follows.Is my approach towards transferring multiple values correct?Someone

i have recently installed Visual Studio 2010 Professional and I am currently coding in VB. I am trying to display a bar graph (pulling from MS SQL database) for certain criteria, but I do not have a "Chart" option in my Toolbox section. I have a licensed software and do not know why the "Chart" option is not present.

I created a Query in a database in Access. I want to attach it to a DataGridView in VB2010. I then went to VB and connected to a Database. Then I dragged a DataGridView onto the form. Up came a pop-up menu. I Clicked on Choose Datasource, Add a DataSource,clicked on all the next buttons, selected Tables and Views checkboxes and clicked finish.In the next view up pops a menu that lists my Database and it's tables, but not the created Query. The Query does exist in the Database and I am accessing the correct version.

I was writing a program that would save the contents of a listbox to a database and wanted to reload the users' choices when the opened up that particular row again. My first thought was to do it with two for loops, just as I used to do in VB6, but I thought there must be a better way to do it. And there was. Sort of. It basically involves using the SelectedObjectCollection class.For this demo, you'll need a listbox called Listbox1. Set selection mode to something other than "One" or else it won't work as expected

I am in the middle of the creation of an application using vb.net. I have a database created in MS.Access which includes 7 tables. I connected this one with my parent program code. Now the problem is that I want to display the data from each column. I have 12 columns and 14 rows in my first table. How can I display data from one column in a Combo box?

I have created an application in which I have to make a report with ReportViewver from Microsoft.Everything ok until now. I have created the report and for this report I have created a dataset. This dataset contains data for every month in every year from 2010 to 2015. With this dataset I am populating a graphic but my problem is that I want to select the year and create graphic for one year.I do not know how to insert a parameter in the dataset. In sql is very easy by in Access is different and if I try to put something like ...' where year_column=@year_parameter' I receive an error.

i've got access database connected to my project,i can read,write and delete records in it..what i need now is when i select one item from combobox (which is connected to table "clanovi"(members) and it loads their name and surname which is the first column of that table..now when i select one item from that combobox i need other info of members their adress,email,city etc to display in seperate textboxes..this is the function that my friend made for me..it connects to the single table in database,in this case to table "clanovi" .

I have a small application which has a MS Access as backend, and the front end is developed using VB.Net 2008. When I click on the listview item and then click delete button to delete a particula list and its content on the database, it is giving me the error as "No value given for one or more required parameters". My access database have a Primary key as the first character of the firstname combined with the first 2 characters of the lastname. It does not have a Anutonumber fiels. My code for the delete button is as follows: the code was working fine on a MS Access that has a Primary Key as the AutoNumber being generated.

So I figured out how to display my entire access database into a datagrid but i don't like how it is displayed. When .Clear() is invoked, is the memory freed up that was allocated when all of the items were added? I need to load several lists of codes from a database depending on the import selected by the user. Each list of codes will be a List(Of String). My idea is that I will load only small strings into a List(Of String) along with a List(Of <class>) for the data I will be validating and manipulating. When I am done, I want all of the data from the Lists to be purged from memory. Will .Clear() take care of that or does the memory still remain allocated and have to be dumped by the OS once memory gets full? (And, incidentally, what causes the OS to decide which memory blocks to dump? FIFO concept?)
There are so many lists, I'm not sure if I just want them sitting in memory or not. Granted, the lists will just consist of a single string value for each code pulled from the database. So there won't be a ton of data, so maybe I could just load all the validation lists at the beginning of runtime and only worry about purging the data List since it will contain between 35-50 "fields" per record and there will be a couple thousand records each import that is run. I don't want my program to actually cause a hit in performance in the long run. I ultimately don't see a problem because I won't be running millions or even hundreds of thousands of records at once, but I just want to be sure.

my form have a datafridview to display my datatable in my access database. and my database have 3 tables.in my database have "computer","booking status"," reservation" and this 3 tables are link together. which my parent table is "computer", then we can level in then we can see the "booking status", and then we can level in and see the "reservation"
