Creating A Virtual Keyboard Where A Sound Is Played From The Resources On KeyDown?

I have seen similar questions which attempt to solve this issue, but none seem to work for me so far.Basically, for my first VB project, I am creating a virtual keyboard where a sound is played from the resources on KeyDown. So far, the program seems to work except for the fact that each key needs to be clicked by the mouse before the sound is played by pressing each key (hence put the object in focus), where I need the key to play the sound without clicking the keyboard key (put the object in focus on KeyDown).Below is an example of my code:
I need to adjust the volume of this audio clip to make it blend with other system sounds (also played from My.Resources). I've tried looking this up in the help screens and found nothing. Is it possible to do?
I have the following code which I use in another Form and it works perfectly. I copied the same code to another form, changed the controls, keys combinations, etc., but the keyboard shortcuts do nothing at runtime. None of the key combinations work, it throws no Exceptions,I put a MessageBox in the F1 KeyDown conditional, but it doesn't show. That tells me that it's not Handling the KeyDown Event.[code]
I was wondering if there is an easy way to analyse sound that is sent to the speakers (just before it's played). For example when playing a song in winamp or windows media player. Or is it easier to write plugins for those programs to form an interface with your own program?
I have created a virtual keyboard like the "Windows onscreen keyboard". So, I have used the method sendkeys.But if I click on the button, it doesn't write nothing.
I think I have a problem with the FOCUS.As you can see, the "Windows onscreen keyboard" is always on top.This doesn't happen to my form. How can I do?
I was just thinking if there is any component which monitors sound output. My intention is to recognize a particular sound coming out from my soundcard. I know its an issue about the driver of my sound card but is there a way I can get atleast noise level coming out of my speakers and maybe draw a graph and detect the peak at when the sound is played?
I'm trying to create a custom keyboard for my accounting firm. I have all the buttons and button events sorted out.How can I make it so that when buttons a pressed, the text is input into where the cursor is? Currently i put the cursor for instance in an excel cell, then click the key on the virtual keyboard and nothing is inputted into the cell, i assume because it selects the keyboard window when i click the button. For some keys I'm also simply using:SendKeys.Send("q") for example.
Im creating a Virtual Keyboard for a touchscreen application and I was wondering if there is a way to know whenever a control gets focus, what type of control it is, basically either another thread or a watch function or something that raises an event when a control gets focus.GLOBALLY, not just one control or one form, but any control on any form in the whole program..Basically i want a keyboard icon to appear whenever the control is of Textbox type.
I am having troubles in connecting my virtual/simulated keyboard and real keyboard. i.e., when I press a button say "B" the button in my real keyboard, my virtual to response with that same "B" press.

what is the correct way to impersonate another user in winforms application that will allow me to create the virtual directory without the user that's running the application being an administrator on the web server? I know this can be done, IIS manager allows you to use "connect as" checkbox to do it.
I am creating a sound shop application. The user will first select an album from album list box and then from there a list of songs from that specific artist will end up in the song list box. The user will then be able to add that song to the shopping cart. After confirming the purchase, the songs that were bought will appear in the play list box so the user can listen. I am confused on how to get this to work properly.
This IS a project for the class. HOWEVER, this class is *NOT* a programming class, but is called "Usability Engineering", which aims its goals at creating a better user interaction. I'm not sure of what the "homework" policy is here, but what I am asking isn't for getting a grade, as the grade isn't based on my ability to program here. ^ The program: Our goal with this project is to make a program with only five buttons (Aiming to be a cellphone type system, I know, the resolution is huge.), The buttons are the arrow keys, and enter. When the user selects a textbox, it changes the focus to the keyboard and then allows input via moving around and hitting enter.
My first problem right now, is that when I use my arrow keys, if I press RIGHT or DOWN, it will only go right, and if i press left or up, it only goes left.
The second problem, is that the buttons are out of order... when I am on "P", and press right, it actually hops down to the space bar button instead. I'm sure this is just some sort of container that can be modified, but I'm unsure of where it is.

I have background sound loop with the My.Computer.Audio and it works fine. I want to play another sound (like a beep) when desired without stopping the background sound. Several examples I have found don't seem to work. I am in VB.NET 2008 Professional.

I'm creating an application that will have 3 streams of audio. I can get 2 streams playing easy enough using DirectX AudioVideoPlayback and setting the balance for each Audio Instance. However, I need a 3rd Audio instance to play out of another output such as the Rear or Centre. An alternative would be to be able to select a different sound device in the machine to play the 3rd audio stream.
