Creating A Work Order App?
Nov 25, 2009I plan on using SQL Standard as the db, and VB to create the app. I am not sure what the easiest/best query solution is. Crystal Reports? Or?

.net - Order By Does Not Work With Concat() In LINQ
Aug 8, 2011Using VB.net and the following LINQ statement. I suspect the "Order by" does not work with Concat(). I want to list the current item the user has and then list more available items in asending order. So first i select the current item from the db and then select the next available items in order. LINQ is ignoring the order by statement and sorting by the PK (which is itemID) I examined the list immediately after executing the statement. When I break up the statement and do them separately they work as predicted.

Oct 11, 2011I am trying to copy the records from my WO table and trying to change the scheduled_date like. If I have already entered a work oder and scheduled it on 26-SEO-2011 when the next month comes it should give me message do you want to crate work oders when i press yes it should copy the those records which has current date and change it month e.g in our example 26-SEP-2011 to 26-OCT-2011 and save it but i am unable to perform this task and similer procedure will be for other saved records when their scheduled date come it should copy it and change the month and save.

Apr 17, 2010I have a databound Datagridview. The DGV is bound to a datatable of a strongly typed DataSet created using the wizard. Is there any way to re order the columns before displaying them eg: the Columns are displayed in the DGV in this other Col4, Col6, Col3, Col1,Col5, Col2
But I want to it to show as Col1, Col2, col3, Col4, Col5, Col6?
I realise that the display order followed the Column order in the database table and by extension, the datatable. I have re-arranged the columns in the Database but the Datatable still retains the old order.

PerformClick() Doesn't Work - How To Make It Work
Feb 2, 2011I have an application that requires data be entered, and after entering, a button is clicked to process that data. Clicking the button works just as it should--the data is processed properly. In constructing a test module, I provide a set of data values, followed by:
btnWhatever.PerformClick()
Nothing happens. I have used this syntax for years, and it has always worked flawlessly. I have triple checked everything else and isolated the problem to the failure of the PerformClick(). The PerformClick() is in a test subroutine that does nothing but fill textboxes and labels with default data, then calls the PerformClick() on the button to begin processing. Again, the button works fine, the data is entered as it should be, but the PerformClick() does not fire the click event.

Aug 21, 2009I have a form that works on my local Machine I created into. I have Office 2007 on this machine. I created the Form with the Excel 12 Reference. I move the Entire conetence of the Project folder to my work computer. Which has Office 2003. Do I need to recreate the form with the Excel 11 reference. I could not get the form to work on work computer. IT has a com error. I am acessing the EXE for the debug folder w/in the Bin Folder.

I tried to run this application with DB on another computer it's system is seven and MSA2007 and work very well. then I run it on pc it's system XP and MSA2003. it showed this error

Jun 21, 2010I have two comboboxes the first one is for order #, the second one is for the amount of order payments, there could be 1, 2, 3... payments for this order. I would like to get all payments to show in the second combobox that relate to the order # selected in the first, process that payment by changing other values in other textbox's. Then have that payment psoted as processed back to the DB table. I have a binding satament, but it pulls all payments, and not just per order. How can I get this to select just by order #?
