I have sub routine that is called via events like so.
Private Sub dgvQA_CellContentClick(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewCellEventArgs) Handles dgvQA.RowEnter
The problem is, is that it only fires correctly once.The e event variable keeps the same row even though I have now clicked on a new row.Meaning the next time an event occurs it has the same values as the previous event, when they should be different.How do I make it return the correct rows value when called the next time?The sub, depending on what row is select, creates a new form like the following
Dim NewForm As QA
NewForm = New QA
NewForm.UseParm = 1
NewForm.ShowDialog(Me)
Which is then worked with and closed, there after the sub continues normally.The sub also calls a different sub which may alter text fields within the datagrid view refreshing the data to reflect the work within the form that was created and used.

This looks like an easy fix but I can't figure this out. I'm trying to have button click event on a subForm (NewTournament), add a record to a database, and then to notify a data grid which lists the records from the same database automatically (the grid is listed on HomeForm).I so for am able to update the database and call upon a new window. But I can't get it to refresh that datagrid for anything. I know I'm supposed to clear the datagrid, get changes, then refill the grid. But everytime I do this, the code is NOT updating. Furthermore, I can very well see that the record is being added.

I am binding a dataset (dsTest) with a table called "TempResult" to a datagrid (DatagridView1).The purpose of the datagrid is to display test labels (set elsewhere in the software) and to allow the user to enter results into an empty column titled results.To achieve this I've filled the dataset with the required test labels then added a column called "Result" with a default value of 0.00.The user can enter numbers into the "Result" column on the grid then click a button "ADD" to update the changes to the datatset,When I first open the form the datagrid shows the correct information and any changes made to the Result column are updated correctly - all is well.

If I close the form and open it up again (i.e. the user wants to add more results) the datagrid shows the results entered the last time the form was use and any changes made to the grid are not updated and the form won't work again until the software is reloaded.
I have the following page and what I'd like to be able to do is that when the user clicks on the clear button that it disposes of the results of the datagridview and reloads the page.

Im making scraper that should get values with regex to datagrid, but after getting first value, it doesnt update datagrid untill I click there or use ctrl + a to select all.
so I am a little confused. I am trying to refresh my datagrid when I have either add, deleted or edit a row via another form. I have it so my main form shows the datagridview, I have bound my controls to the database and I see all rows, no problem. I also have it setup to double click a row and it brings it up in another form to edit that record. This works. but it doesn't refresh the datagrid when saved. In webbrowser, I am visiting a website that lists 10 items per page, I select "20 items per page". The webpage dynamically updates to display a list of 20 items.However when I view the webpage code it still shows 10 items. If I refresh the webbrowser, the code will show 20 items.

Basically I have two forms - Form1 has a DataGrid on it (Infragistics) and in the double-click row event it creates an instance of the EditForm and passes along the UniqueId for editing. Once the user saves the changes (if they make changes) - I want the DataGrid on Form1 to refresh. Here is how I thought I could get this to work ... I create a public property called RefreshRequired as boolean. Before unloading the EditForm it sets this property to true. Then Unloads. This continues the code in Form1 (which showed the EditForm as modal) but RefreshRequired is still showing as False? Why isn't my EditForm able to set the property?

i want to use a tree view to select different from in an application but i can get the appropriate event to work with all i get is the entire tree view event but what i want is to be able to click on a child node inside a parent so that upon clicking the child node something will happen.
how do I call the events for a datagrid? I want to update, add, and delete records to a bound datagridview. Is there a simple way to accomplish this? Most of the Database connections are handled but how is the editing handled?
I found some threads talking about this.. but when I follow the thread on where to do it.. it must be talking VS2005.. cause on vs2008 in project properties -> application tab-> I dont see View Application Events button. so I assume its moved in VS2008 ? I have a tbl called tblProjectpatients which also has 2 fields Yes and No (these have the data type - Bit).
These two fields have been populated with false and true values.
On my form, I have a datagridview which is populated with various values from tblProjectpatients.
The problem am facing is that the checkbox's for Yes and No on the datagridview are empty at runtime eventhough at the backend they have either False or True values.
I am expecting the checkbox showing on the datagridview to be either checked or Not Checked depending on the True or false values.

i'm having with a problem to refresh my datagrid view. I have 2forms and a database create from msaccess2010. This programme is too simple, in form1 requesting a costumer name and save button. After being saved, it'll show form2 which is database in datagrid view. Yes, in first save the name of costumer are being shown there but after i close (which is 'hide' actually,i cant use 'close' due to particular reason) and reinsert the data in form 1 and save it,the second data are not being shown in form2. So my question is,how can i make the data refresh(by form load or button refresh,any of them)?
