Word Wrapping - Cannot Select Last Line Of Richtextbox (when A Line Is Wrapped It Becomes Two Lines)
Jul 5, 2009The following code selects a line ina richtextbox. It works OK expect from one problem:
When a line is biger than the size of the richtextbox, it wraps it. This create a big problem as I can not select the last line of the richtextbox (when a line is wrapped it becomes two lines). When I set wordwrap to off it works just fine

How To Determine A New Line In A Text Box
Mar 16, 2010i have designed a form that generates e-mails for outlook. the form has a textbox which allows the user to write extra notes. these notes are then added to the e-mail body at the end.
here is the issue, suppose the user wants to enter the following as extra notes.but when i actually add this to the end of the e-mail body i get something like this
"Please send us a replyyours truly,user" i has similar issues when i was generating the e-mail body as i was not using the default SMTP client server but some other methods to generate the e-mail
i know how to make the characters come to the next line, but i do not know how can i determine when the user has moved to the next line is there a way to determine this, and if there is how can i replace it with this character " %0d%0A"
Determine End Of Line Position As Integer?
Jun 6, 2011I'm writing a text editor for my own use ( I'm "home learning") where I want to be able to leave comments for myself, like in code section of the VB express IDE. I have figured out how to get the Integer Location of the apostrophy, but can't get it to color the rest of the line. I don't know how to tell the program to find the integer value of the last character in the line. I need that to be able to subtract the apostrophy's location from the last character's location, to get the "SelectedLength". Then I can add that to the apstrophy's location to give the SelectedLength the SelectionColor.This code was thrown together from excerpts of several codes I found on the web. I had to rewrite everything to get it to do what it does so far...
Apostrophy Location is char # 534 , the end of the line is 547. ( I cheated to get that count by placing another apostrophy there, and reclicking the btn. )Anyway, I want to take 547 - 534 to get (13) the SelectionLength, then give the SelectionColor ( green) to that selected text.

Determine If Mouse Hovers Over A Drawn Line?
Apr 26, 2011I'm creating a type of drawing program. The user can draw a line, much like in word or paint, etc. But once the line is drawn (to a picturebox or bitmap in memory), I want the user to be able to click on the line and drag it around (translate it).
If I know the coordinates of the endpoints of the line, as well as the pen width it was drawn with, how can I tell if a certain coordinate (mouse location) is contained by the line?
My first thought was to take a mathematical approach, like get an equation for a line, and check to see if the coordinate belonged to it. But for a higher pen width, the line is thicker, and thus contains more points.
How can I tell what coordinates are part of the line? Is there some sort of intersect function in the gdi that takes a line?

They are running the exe and at times the program crashes unexpectedly and display the message: "... has encountered a problem and needs to close" I know I should have added code to handle the exception, but is there a way that I can find out which line in the program caused the error? I could make the ClassBBB reference public (or supply a public getter method) but that would expose the inner workings of ClassAAA. What I'm thinking of doing is making the ClassBBB reference Friend so that it is only visible in the assembly i.e. a data layer and is not visible to client projects. But this stills feel like I'm exposing the inner workings of the class.

C# - Stepping Through VB6 COM Object Wrapped By .NET Class?
Jun 16, 2011I have a VB6 object that is wrapped by a .NET class. As far as I recall it is possible to step through a VB6 object (compiled as a library) by simply running the VB6 library and inserting a breakpoint at the desired location.However this does not appear to be working in my case. I have attempted to recompile the VB6 object and re-reference it in my .NET project but this doesn't appear to have helped. there a way to insert Debugger.Launch() equivalent into a VB6 project?

Jul 15, 2011I have a Listview and each ListviewItem has an image with a height of 90 pixels. This means that the Listview rows are also about 90 pixels high, enough room to show the subitems text word wrapped.
The only way to wordwrap text is to draw it myself, as far as I know, because the Listview has no property for that. I'm using the code below, which works fine, except I'm having some problems with centering the text vertically.

Jan 24, 2011I have a form in a page that is popped up using the jquery dialog thus:using jquery ui 1.8.9 and jquery 1.4.4.[code] so this div dialogs up on a button click, but when i try to submit this popped up form with the clicking the butMove appointment just does nothing at all if i move it out of the popup it does fire is this because the popup doesnt simply show and centre the styled div?presumably i can get around this somehow?

Feb 7, 2011a user copies multiple lines of text (say, from an email) into the clipboard. Based on my observations, when one tries to paste the text into a single-line textbox, only the first line is actually pasted in. (I am aware that the "obvious" solution would be to set the Multiline property to True, but there are reasons I am looking to avoid this and to put multi-line data into a single line.)
In the TextChanged event handler, I wrote code that parses the clipboard data to successfully convert it to a single-line, comma-delimited format.
