View 1 RepliesI have set up a serial port program, where the serialport writes from textbox1 then reads to textbox2 when you push a send button.The problem is the serial port seems to have its own writetimeout function. here is an example of my error:
say I write the string "AABBCCDDEEFF" then click send textbox2 will then display "BBCCDDEEFF" or just "DDEEFF"
what seems to be happening is that it will kick in whenever it wants to and just read portions of the text sometimes it will even seperate it out into two or three lines.
This only happens about 1 out of 5 times when I hit send, but it is an error that I would still like to have fixed.

Textbox1 is the general console.
Textbox2 is the barcode field.
Commandbutton1 is the confirm button.
Scenario:
When scanner scaned a barcode, it will appear in the textbox2, when click on the commandbutton, it then add to the textbox1.
My problem is, when I scaned the second item, it can appear in the textbox2, but when I click on the commandbutton it then replace the previous item in the textbox1.
How can I make the textbox1 keeping all the record, and when everytime click on the commandbutton1, it appear in the next line in textbox1 rather than keep replacing the first data?
