How can i draw a random sized + shaped triangle, centered in my picturebox?
heres the code i wrote, but it draws them too big + off the screen or too small. how can i draw medium sized triangles centred in my picturebox?[code]...
I'm creating a movable scenary with, like 100 different flights. I want to create for every type of flight a triangle...so it's moves around and you have an idea how the airspace looksq like at what moment.Now my question is, what's the best way to draw these rectangles? I created a class 'Flight' and it has a Graphicspath in it. Now I want to update the triangle, which represents the aircraft, with the speed and heading...so it moves around well.
I am practicing using the drawing commands, and have gotten a grass background and black happy face that moves around the background.It's a 10x10 grid of 50 pixels.I want (at the moment, when i press enter) it to generate a random number of trees (15 ~ 25) at random locations on the background. The program doesn't freak out about anything, and the variables seem to be right (using stop commands) but it's not drawing anything. Here is the code for the "GenerateTrees" command I have for when I press enter.
Private Sub GenerateTrees() NumberOfTrees = Int(Rnd() * 10) + 15 For i = 0 To NumberOfTrees - 1 bmap.MakeTransparent(Color.Fuchsia)
I need to write some code which draws a predefined circular path (say 48pix diameter) and use a timer to delay it to show it being drawn. I need to use GDI+ to do this. My guess is on the Timer.Tick, I would set some Point value for the next point on the path, and then call Invalidate to raise the Paint event.
I need to load a form and for each form background color, put a square on it, my problem is i can't put the square on the orange backcolor right after the first show of form backcolor, and before the timer even start.[code]
I am currently using Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition.I want to make a program that will draw 700 random lines on it initially. I tried my code but the lines only appear in the same way such as straight line and diagonal line. Here's my code:
Public Class Form1 Private Sub Form1_Paint(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs) Handles MyBase.Paint
I am wondering if there is any code guide to teach me how to enable the user to draw as many buttons as possible on the windows form and be able to move and resize the buttons on the GUI and also tie the buttons to the timer to toggle the button colour when ever a condition is true
I'm trying to make a program that'll play the card game "War". I've started to code the dealing process, but it doesn't seem to be working. I currently have 3 comboboxes on the form each with numbers representing different cards, 1 that contains all the cards to be dealt, 1 that contains the user's cards, and 1 that contains the computer's cards. I plan to just draw random numbers from these comboboxes for the dealing. However, nothing happens when I click the tool-strip button that's supposed to deal the cards. [Code]
When a button is clicked on my forum i need it to enable a timer that has a RANDOM inverval. how to do it or give an example. (im trying to create an autotyper that types a given phrase at random times)
I'm working on a reaction time program where I'll be testing... well, reaction time of a user. For this program I'll need a timer to stop at a random time interval, say somewhere between 3 and 10 seconds. Anyone know of a technique to do this. I've done some research and it seems there are a bunch of different ways of generating a random number just not sure how to assign that number to a timer.
I'm trying to make a form that will read my wordlist. txt (one word or phrase per line) then using a timer, insert one word randomly selected from the list, and display it in textbox1 where it will remain until another timer changes the word. The word in the textbox will display for a random time 1min to 7 min, then the textbox displays another word randomly selected from the word list.
Dim blackPen As New Pen(Color.Black, 3) Dim ptsArray As PointF() = {New PointF(100.0F, 120.0F), New PointF(70.0F, 60.0F), _ New PointF(40.0F, 120.0F), New PointF(100.0F, 120.0F)} e.Graphics.DrawLines(blackPen, ptsArray)
I have the outline of a triangle right where I want it. I need to fill it so it's a solid color. Can anyone give me a start on filling it? (Using VB.NET 2008)
Currently working on a 2D engine, not for gaming but for design software / visualisation for machines. So far it is comming along quite fine. I started to wonder if it were possible to draw a triangle and fill it with some form of a a texture, or even better a polygon and fill that with a texture.
I know that DX can do that for me :P but I am realy focussing on GDI+ at the moment.
I need to get the DataGridView to perform the way it should perform. I'm new to the .NET environment, but I learn fairly quickly. However, I find it difficult to decipher themassive black box of the DataGridView control enough to make it do anything other than what it already does--Draw very slowly.
I am taking an Intro to VB class in college and for on of our assignments we need to make several shapes with *'s. The user is prompted by an input box where they decide how large to make the shapes. The only one that I am struggling with is the inverted triangle. Here is what it should look like if the user would select to have 5 rows.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Here is the code that I have written for the REGULAR triangle.
Private Sub btnTriangle_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnTriangle.Click Dim numstars As Integer
i was asked to do a program which can find if a 2d point is inside a triangle or not, only the 3 points of the triangle were given. i planned to do this using the slopes of the 3 sides, then with y-y1=m(x-x1) using the other vertex and the point being checked see if the slope was the same sign and on the same side of the line. if this was true for all 3 then the point is inside the triangle the problem is i cant think of a logical expression for the if/then/else structure to show this anyone know what i should use or should i just go down a completely different route?
I have a menu strip on a form and to assist the users and to make it more aesthetically pleasing I want to add an inverted triangle at the end of each menu title to make it more obvious there are other options available if you click on it.I am currently using Times New Roman as a font but that can be changed if necessary.
I'm working on a Pythagorean Theorem program that calculates the sides and angles of a right triangle. I have the side measurements and all that down, but I can't find the Visual Basic function that will allow me to calculate the angles from the side measurements. I've tried asin and sinh, but both give me the wrong measure.
Here is the code: Public Structure Triangle Shared a As Double = 1 Shared b As Double = 1 Shared c As Double = Triangle.FindC Public angleABC As Double [Code] .....
I am receiving an error in the function. "Triangle.angleABC" is generating :"Reference to a non-shared member requires an object reference". I need to find the hypotenuse for this Triangle. I have tried setting the variable as an object, this does nothing for the error. Also I've tried to use Public in the function and I receive an error stating it needs to be shared. I would like to work the the Structure with out running any functions on it first.
