I want to fill a form of a web page through coding.while filling one field example city: if i type more than three words, it shows a drop down list which are mathcing for typed words. How to capture that data through coding. That is like as below, when i am viewing through view->source
I have successfully navigated to the page I want and now I need to know how to fill in text boxes on the page. I used SendKeys.Send before but that was when the first box was already selected. I can't seem to get the box selected by tabbing at all. I can find the textbox id if that helps.
I am making a program that will fill in some info on a form. The information that needs to be filled is:
[Code]...
The thing is i need the program to click on a button on a website then open a new tab with the page it just clicked on, fill in email and click submit, then fill in the info that is above before pausing. I would also like the info above to be randomized each time the new page loads so it is not the same. I have already looked on this site and cant find what I am looking for.
I created a website in VWDE 2010, and I was trying to code the login page that gets automatically created with a new web site in vb. owever, the vb file doesnt recognize some of the items on the aspx page, for instance: the username textbox is called "username". in the vb file, when I wrote username.text etc etc, and then I debugged it, it gave me error " 'username' is not declared. It may be inaccessible due to its protection level. Why is it doing that? It's under a Protected Sub, but why should tht interfere?
Using Visaul Basic 2010; the program auto fills a web page displayed in the WebBrowser container on the form (with the value contained within TextBox2) as follows:
What reference is needed to to replace 'WebBrowser1' so that the Current browser window can be accessed, be it IE or Firefox, so that the same could be achieved?
im trying to to fill the value for the login page of site here the html code
<input type="text" placeholder="Email" class="login_textbox" name="username" id="username" tabindex="1"> i tried this but doesnt work WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementById("username").Se tAttribute("value", "elvin")
I have a Master page and many, many pages that use it. On one or two of the pages, there is not enough content to fill the entire page. This causes the footer to appear near the middle of the screen and the background to be visible at the bottom of the page. I would like to know if it is possible to have the ContentPlaceHolder automatically generate white space to force the footer to the bottom of the page. I have looked through the code of the master page and did not see anything that was forcing the size of the ContentPlaceHolder. I also checked the two pages that I am having the issue with and did not see any explicit size declaration.
I have a master page which contains everything that inherits it within a form. A page inheriting from it needs to run some javascript to act on a text field on a page. However, I can't seem to reference that text field through the javascript, since the form begins on the master page. The following line will come up bogus: document.form1.txtFindUser.value = blah.responseText; This is because form1 is defined on the master page, while txtFindUser is on the current page.

I have managed to automate the following page: https://post.craigslist.org/atl/S/msg/none/x and even click the "Continue" button, but I noticed that my vb 2008 program is creating an infinite loop and tries to click "Continue" buttons on following pages. I only want my program to click the continue button once, fill out more data on the next page and then click another continue button on a later page. But I need the following code to end on the first page before I can continue coding for the following pages so that the web browser doesn't go crazy. Here is the code that I am using and not sure if this is called an infinite loop, but that is what it seems to be doing:
theElementCollection = WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementsByTagName("button") For Each curElement As HtmlElement In theElementCollection If curElement.GetAttribute("value").Equals("Continue") Then[code].......
I have a web page that I need to log in, the first page is not a problem I can log in as it only has the company name to enter, but from here is where I have problems, as when the first page is done, I am directed to a second page with two fields that has to be filled, filename and author, then depending on the action you have to click on in button, out, button delay button, here is where I need help, how do I fill the second page fields and how to chose the right button depending the action to take.
I have a form with a Tab Control that has 18 pages. When I click on a tab it opens the page and select a textbox on that page (txtTextbox1. Select() ). This works for the first 8 pages but not for the remaining 10 pages. Although on these pages I can mouse click on the textbox, enter info, save then click my Add button that clears the textboxes and has the code (txtTextbox1. Select() ). The textbox is selected just fine. The code for all my pages is the same except for the tab name and the control names. The tab key will move the selection to the next textbox in order on all pages and the Enter key is coded to do the same. The first 8 pages have a total of 256 labels, buttons, list boxes, textboxes and checkboxes on them.

The section which says 'Find first free row from A21' up to'Cells(r, 4).Value = Me.txtQty2.Value' (highlighted in bold) is where I need help. I currently have 3 combo-boxes called 'cboProduct, cboProduct2 andcboproduct3' and next to each one of them I have a textbox called 'txtQty1,txtQty2 and txtQty3'. I am trying to get the first combo-box to find the first free row starting from A21 and go to cell B21 and the first textbox to go to D21. For the second combo-box to find a free row from A21 and go to B22 if B21 is used and the same applies to the textbox , if D21 is used to go D22.This also applies for the third combo-box and text box. However my coding doesn't work.

Question is related to rather simple programs typically presenting some data in a few datagridviews, charts etc. And consisting typically of a main form and one or two settings forms.I'm trying to program in a layered structure, pulling every bit of code out of any form class, and having a seperate "program class" for any form that I make. Now.. So far you can't complain on that I guess, but how to do this in best coding practice? In the form class I make a member object of the program class, hence making the program class a child of the form. Now I'm able to create events in the child class, and have handler methods in the form, without writing delegate classes (it seems). Now, that is fine, as it enables me to update the form controls with such events happening in the program class. However, how do I send events the other direction, from the form (parent) to the program class (child)? I guess I don't have to use events, I could just use the member object to access public methods in the program class directly, with passing of parameters from the form controls.. however, is that good practice? Or should I use events also that direction, and how to make that work, do I need to introduce delegate classes
I am trying to code my pet age calculator form to allow user interface for the user to choose feline or canine, choosing the ok button will then invoke the frmCanine or frmFeline, can anyone work with me on this?

I have a form that has 1 listbox and multiple textboxes. I need to write an array code to beable to select on an item in the listbox and then display different data into the multiple textboxes due to what is specifically chosen in the listbox. Im having a lot of trouble figuring this out.
My form contains lots and lots regular expression and other things in one button. whch when pressed takes some time to process.. so the form kind of gets stucked while the processing is bieng done.is there any coding for which it diables the entire form until the process is completed? like disabling the entire form and showing a text "please wait ... processing data" so user can not use other buttons or features at the same time or it might get crashed.
Say we have a DataGridView on the main form. I can chose to establish its properties by code or by selecting them in the Properties panel. Is there a difference between these two techniques, a loading time penalty in any of the cases especially?
I am a bit stuck with coding my save button and combobox. My entire form is ready, database is linked. All fields from DB are linked to their textboxes on the form. But i just ran into a big wall which i cant seem to break down.My save button, which is used to save the content from all the textboxes on the form to the access database refuses to work. The other this is, i want to use a combobox on my form to view the already saved entries in the access database.I think a combobox works for that, but i am not exactly sure how to pull that one off.
first, I'm very new to VB so please excuse my ingorance. Second, thanks to this forum, I've gotten quite far on my first project, so thank you. Hopefully someone can point me to the right direction on this last part.I have an XML file located on "C:XMLfaxappxml.xml", contents looks something like this:
