Get The Dialog To Popup In A SaveAs In ASP.NET?

I am creating an excel report in vb.net using the office interop. When the report is completed I am saving the excel file on the C drive. The users have asked to save file anywhere they want not just the c drive. code to popup an opend file dialog in asp.net?I want the dialog to popup in a saveAs in ASP.NET. I know how to do it in win forms, but I am creating an excel report in asp.net and calling the worksheet objects SaveAs property that excepts a fileName. So right now I just hardcode a file name in there. The users want to choose a file location?

I'm using the FileSaveAs dialog control to allow the user to select a filename to save a file either as a doc file, an rtf file or a pdf file (that part was easy).However, after a bit of testing, it seems that the file extension doesn't automatically change when selecting the different file types.If the filename in the dialog is Foo.doc and I select FileType *.pdf and click "Save", my app still tries to save the file as a doc type.Virtually every other MS app automatically changes the extension to match a selected file type from the Office Suite to Paint. here's my code:

I'm trying to use the WebKit-component ([URL]) in VB with the help of Visual Studio 2008. This is running without problems, except for two following two issues:
1. Hints/Tooltips are not shown (e.g. as there usually will appear one if you stay with the mouse over the Google-logo)
2. If there's a popup-window, I don't know how to get the new desired URL.

I'm working with a Silverlight Popup control (SL4). I would like to update data shown on that popup every time the user opens it (IsOpen=true) by passing a string and calling a Private method located in the Popup control behind code to fetch updated data.
I was hoping to place code to make this happen in the Opened event of the Popup, but such an event does not seem to exist (even though I found some documentation on it).

I have a usercontrol that has a popup that displays another usercontrol when the user selects an item from a listbox. When the parent initializes, all the usercontrols initialize.

write a VB code that will open Word, create a Word document then, upon exiting Word, automatically have the file name save in a specific folder based on an Excel worksheet cell value? In other-words, if...let's say... if a worksheet cell value is 09-1, can a code be written to save a document as c:/NBI/Docs/09-1.doc ? Or am I going WAY beyond the scope of a VB nubee...?

My friend gave me a VB project. We want to generate a excel file with TextBox data. This function works on my friend machine, but not on mine.After prompting saveas dialog, it gives an error message as below once clck save.Invalid index. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8002000B (DISP_E_BADINDEX))
It was written in VS 2010, Win Vista, office 2007. and I am using VS 2010, Win 7, office 2010
Then I tried the program on other machines. Several get the same error as above but it works on win xp.
Is it setting problem? How can I solve it?

i use vb.net and cloud, so using webrole but i not saving to blob storage, i store in the webrole project there is a folder called imagesi trying to do a file upload, i want to image to save to image folder, however, the image don't know appear in the directory that i indicateif i show all file, it appear there, so i click on that image and include it in the project,however, it shouldnt be the case that i everytime upload an image, i need to redo that again so how should i allow it to always appear when i upload a image?this is my code

i have seen that this is a common error but not sure what the common solution is. I need to date stamp the word doc that is being generated from my Excel Macro and i need to save this to a specific shared folder.every time i try to insert CallDate into the saveas i get an error that basicaly means that then / is not supported as a naming character. any sugestions? I am creating new documents from templates and then saving them as docx files.My understanding is that when I go to my saveas method I should be able to have the wdFormatXMLDocument as one of my fileformat options.However I don't.I have to use the numerical equivalent of 12.I have imported the Word 2007 interop and have all the methods at my fingertips there, but can't seem to find this particular option.

I have created an addin specifically for Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 that will cature any save attempts made by the end-user. The purpose is it analyse where the file is saved to and to take a copy of the saved file for version control.I have created a module level object mobjPPT which contains my PowerPoint application object and have assigned the PresentationBeforeSave event to my sub 'PowerPointSave'. Everything works up until the point it hits the 'Pres.SaveAs' line and throws the following error:

Using Excel Automation classes I am seeking to save an Excel file as a delimited text file. The examples given in the MSDN library refer to versions older than Express 2008 with (apparently) different syntax options for FileFormat.Based on the snippet shown, I get a COM exception error (800A03EC). Other variations produce the same error.
Am I improperly applying the Automation features?

I have a simple desktop application that uses a .NET setup project (.msi file) to perform the installation. On the first installation, everything proceeds in a timely fashion with good feedback for the user.The problem occurs when the user is installing the latest version of the application over an old version on their machine.There is an unacceptably long delay of about 60 to 180 seconds from the time the installer's 'Welcome' dialog [It's not the Welcome dialog, I've removed that from the Start section of the setup project and replaced it with a CheckBox dialog to ask if the user wants a shortcut on the desktop] disappears until the 'Progress' dialog appears. The user sees minute(s) of blank screen and thinks the install has stopped or failed.
In the setup project properties, I've got the 'DetectNewerInstalledVersion' and 'RemovePreviousVersions' properties set to true. So, I believe that while nothing appears to be happening, the installer is actually removing the old version. The 'Progress' dialog does not appear until the new version begins installation.I've been trying to either:
a) Get the 'Progress' dialog to display immediately after the 'Install Icon' dialog disappears
b) Show another dialog while the Uninstall is running to let the user know that the setup is still running and everything is OK.
I have been unsuccessful with both methods. I'm using VS 2008 SP1?

I often use the process of displaying a dialog from a form, with the dialog user input then used to update the main form without any problem. In a new scenerio I launch the main application screen, I then show a login dialog ontop of the main app screen and can launch another dialog from the login if a new user is required. The plan is to update the login dialog (updating a combobox to reflect the addition of a new user) from the new user dialog.

The messagebox implies the dialog has been updated yet the text does not change. Is it possible to update the dialog when using a setup such as Form -> dialog -> dialog? I'm intrigued as why the dialog does not reflect changes. I have never refreshed/repainted the dialog as never required to in my other examples when updating a form from a dialog and never encountered a problem when using a two tier form setup.

I have an assignment due this week in which I have to make a app that has 5 buttons and a picture box. When each button is clicked it has to show the corresponding picture in the picture box, the fifth button closes the app.
I have the whole form set up the way it should be, but I have no idea how to write the code to make the buttons display the images and close the app.I have the images in a folder within the project folders.
I have yet to be able to find one, the one I found should how to do it using a file opener dialog and a folder browser dialog but that is not what I think my prof wants us to do, as that is more for a picture viewer app that lets the user choose the file of the image they want ot view.
All i want is for the buttons to be linked to specific photos that are part of the application itself and have them open.

I have a Dialog that is basically a confirmation dialog on some SQL statements. After the dialog I have an if statement: If frmRelease.ShowDialog() <> Windows.Forms.DialogResult.Cancel then.My buttons are set as DialogResult = OK and DialogResult = Cancel respectively on the dialog form.
For some reason, sometimes my button set to DialogResult = OK is returning me a DialogResult.Cancel, and causing me to skip a block of cleanup code.
