i have this formula to get the time used and amount conversion. My problem is that when I a hour dt_total_used.Hour.ToString()) * 60 give wrong result.

I have a program that allows a user to select a program to run at a certain time for a specific amount of time all choosen by the user. Everything works with the exception of if my program has launched the other program, my program become non-responsive. Meaning I am not able to look at that window again. Not that one really needs too, because when time is up my program closes the program it opened, then closes itself. I just want to be able to see my program when the other program is running. how to do this and perhaps drop me some links, that would be wonderful. i need to reduce an amount of time by x% this is what i have so far [code] as u can see ive taken the hours minutes seconds from the time and stored each in a seperate variable so from 02:30:00 i then divided the hours by 60 and then 60 again to give me the total seconds in the hours and then divided the minutes by 60. i then added all 3 to give the total amount of seconds so now the buildtimetotal variable now holds the total in seconds i now need to reducce this by x% all vars are dimentioned as integers except for buildtimehoursback which is a double the problem seems to be when i try to convert the total seconds back to hours minutes seconds.

People can just put "A" as the e-mail and password and go right ahead and send an e-mail to me. This is why I want to add a delay so that users can only open the e-mail form once a day so that I can get a lesser amount of troll-mail. Is there a way I can make it so when a user clicks on the button to call the Mail form, it will make the button unclickable for X amount of time?

View 13 RepliesI am trying to change the background randomly from a selected list after a certain amount of time. I have the array set-up and I have it picking a random path (ex c:images est.jpg). I found in the registry the background image settings. I tried setting the registry key to the path but it seems like there is more to it than that because it doesn't change it. I also saw where it stored the file and tried changing it but again it doesn't change it. The funny thing is if I go to display properties afterwards it shows the correct image just doesnt set it. If I then click a different image and go back to it then it sets it. How can I make it update the background?

so if i say want to cruise 29 miles at 12 knts it gives me an awnser of 2 hours 24.6 mins instead of 2 hours 25. Although i do realise that 2 hrs 24.6 is technicaly right i was wondering if anyone here could help me with getting it into the correct format?
im trying to make a fast food program on which the user will input the amount that he has, then he will check on what he wants, by using check boxes. There are 7 different check boxes with 7 different amounts of money. I have the program somewhat finished (thanks for the people that helped me before) but theres still a couple of things that I still need to get finished but I dont know how to.I need to be able to get how much money the user has (this will be entered threw a text box, I think I accidentally messed this part up, because I cant get it to work right, (theres alreasy a permit amount of money in there and it needs to be what the user enters instead of the permit, 5.59, one) and this will be the maximum amount he can spend, then the user will check on the food he wants (and the program will add the sales tax also) then it will produce an answer saying if you have enough money or if you dont. But what im confused on is how do I get the users amount of money and make it the maximum mount he can spend and make sure it doesnt go over the amount that he has checked.[code]

I am writing a program and have run into an issue. The program requires a conversion of time (e.g. hours,minutes,seconds) to a hexadecimal value of no more than 4 bytes (e.g. FFFF). here is an sql query statement i run in vb.net. i keep getting the error of "Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string." whenever i try to execute this. the datatype of filing_date and approvale_date is "text" but the deyt variable is originally Date, converted to string: (Date.Today).ToString, like so. nulll is simply a variable with vbNullChar as its value.

The error is: Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string.Basically I'm trying to make it so that when someone clicks a location in a list box it increments the correct field in a Stats table by 1 to say that they clicked the location. I've been trying to solve this for a while now and can't get anywhere. My date is in date format, and so is the Date field in my Stats table. My code can be seen below.
