im using a trackbar (First time of using one)i want the trackbar to go up in 1`s to a maximum of 400 at the moment it goes up in 10`s iv looked at the properties of this and i cant seem to figure how to change it from 10 to 1, I looked at the maximum and changed that from 10 to 1 but it just counts the hole trackbar as one which is doing the complete opposite to what i want?

I need to play multiple files simultaneously at the moment i am trying to use mciSendString() API it plays the files listed in a listbox. But it is only playing the first one i assume it would play the next one after the first is finished... cbf waiting to see.

View 3 Repliesbuilding a program at the moment that changes registry entries to turn on and change, and off proxy settings. This small program is going to be dropped on each persons desktop so they can easily turn on the proxy in work, and turn it off when they take their laptop home.
However, the proxy address changes depending on which company I am at. I would like to be able to make a single program, but have a "hidden" setting to change the proxy and store it in the program, and push a copy of the file out across the network to each machine. I tried to make it so the proxy address can be saved as a string in My.Settings, but it would have to be made as a User setting rather than an application setting to give it read-write access.The only other option I can think of is to hard-code the proxy address into the program, which really isn't ideal

This is a part of a calculator code. When you press the button "BtnAdd" the text in TxtRes is held by the global variable "num1" and the operation number (whether add or subtract) by "oper". My problem is : OUTPUT 1: prints num1 = 25 (for example)While OUTPUT 2: prints num1=0
Why is this happening ? Isn't the value of num1 supposed to be equal everywhere in the form at a given moment ?
I'm not sure if I already saw a trackbar inside a menu strip, but there is a way to add it? Or even a numeric dropdown?

ETA: Actually, thinking about it, it's not as simple as that. For small changes, the TrackBar is raising the event for every change. However, if you make a large fast change with the grip, it will not raise the event for every step. Just wondering exactly how the framework does this?

To calculate the value i first have to multiply the current location of the trackbutton with 100 and dividy it with the width of the trackline and then dividy it width the maximum value - the minimum value, right? But i just can't get it to work, i am only 15 years old and math is just not my strongest side.. yet..W1 and W2 is the size of the boxes + the space between them and the trackline.

MainForm having a few buttons, VolForm is inheriting MainForm. I can see this perfectly in the designer.VolForm itself contains a trackbar. Now have 2 forms. Form1 and Form2 both inherit VolForm. If I change the trackbar from Form1, and then show Form2, the trackbar is not having the same value. Is there any way to keep this trackbar the same in every form that inherits VolForm?
