Have The Height Of The Textbox Increase Automatically?

I have a multi line textbox (in a windows form in vb.net application) that displays values from an array. What I would like is to have the height of the textbox increase automatically so that all the rows are visible in the textbox without the need to scroll down. Also I would like to know how this will affect any controls directly below the textbox in question. ie if the textbox grows in size, will it push the items below it further down or will it overlap them?

I have a treeview and text box below it... is it easy or even possible to allow a user to change the height of the treeview which will automatically change the height of the textbox so there is no gap between them?ie one gets bigger the other gets smaller etc etc

The issue I'm having is I have 3 items in my combobox however when I maximize my window the items do not enlarge and are the same size(or relative) to what they were prior to maximizing, hence overlapping. Is there a way? I've ony known how to increase width.

I'm in the process of making a barcode printing program for my job. The barcode is printed by printing text using font "WASP 39 LC". I have it automatically determining the correct font size of the text so that it will stretch from the left edge to the right edge, but the barcode isn't very wide (or tall), It's only about a centimeter tall (when printing a 9-digit number).

I've got vb Express and want to increase the version of the build file automatically. I know it can auto change the publish-version, but i never publish files. I use the build option and get the application at: ...Visual Studio 2008ProjectsWindowsApplication1WindowsApplication1inRelease. So how can vb increase the revision or build number automatically?

When new record is added, I want the vb to look at the last record in the database, look at its id, add 1 to it (+1) and generate a new number and display it in the IDTextBox.

I'm trying to code an 'increase' button to prompt a user to input a rate by which to increase select prices in an array.It should request the increased rate, then request a number from one to five, representing which price in the array to increase.Then, if 'increase' button is selected again and another number from one to five is chosen, then that element should be increased.It's working, but all the numbers in the array are changed. And, when I hit the increase button again, the array is repopulated below the first price increases instead of only replacing the designated price.

I have a button and text box. Every time I click on this button a number increments in the text box (textbox1). So far so good. Also on the form is another button called 'Submit' and three more textboxes. (textbox2, textbox3 and textbox4) What I want to do is every time I click on the submit button the value in textbox1 will be placed in the first textbox (testbox2) I will then increment the value in textbox1 and then hit submit again and the current value will be placed in textbox3 etc. The question I guess is how do I create a for - next loop that will increase the textbox?

I just found a way to finally do this, but it still has problems. In particular I can highlight all lines in a textbox apart from the last one and when I hightlight a line the previous remains with the same yellow colour(it should change back to white). Is there any way to fix these problems?

Iam trying to convert all my access database into Sql Server databases and also create vb .net application for them all. First problem I encountered was there doesn't seem to be anything like a continous form(I know there is a datagridview). So i thought i would create a flowlayoutpanel. Place lots of textboxes on it and fill each of textboxes with information form my dataset. now on to the problem. one of the textboxes is the item description field. This field can have one word or many words. I have been trying to get the textbox to auto expand in height to cover the text. Below is the code I have put together to try and get this to work correctly.

This code seems to work ok for dynamically controlling a textbox height. Would like to know if there is a way to have the textbox height auto size to accommodate each entry. Autosize does not appear to be a property of textbox.

I have a TextBox, The situation is that when a user leaves it empty, OK button is disabled. If user types in a value of duration based on days, the button gets enabled. The problem is: let's say the user clicks on text box, types in : 100, and he realizes that he made a mistake, he erase that value and tries to start filling some other textboxes and come back again afterwards, at this level at the time user clicks on other part of form, the value becomes 0 automatically and Ok button is Enabled Now.

I have a texbox that I'm using for a P2P IM program. The box stores all messages but I cannot get it to automatically scroll down to the most recent IM when the box is full and scrollbars are necessary. eg. When a user gets enough messages that they must start using the scrollbars, when a new message comes, the scrollbars reset to the top instead of the bottom where the new message is. I have a program that adds text to a textbox. The textbox is multi-line and has a vertical scroll bar. I want to have my textbox to scroll down automatically when new text is added, however, I do not want the other controls on the form to loose focus.I have tried the following code with no success:

I have a textbox that represents a primary key in my database. Because the values are nvarchars I can't automatically increment for a new insert. Instead I have to read a value from a drop-down, perform some magic, and create a new incremented value for the new insert.
I've written codebehind that does all this when the drop-down is selected. It works, in that it puts correct values into the textbox. However when I try to insert, I get an error that that field cannot be null.
I'm pretty sure it's because I'm doing this in the codebehind : myTextBox.text = newValue
which wipes out the binding the textbox should have : Text='<%# Bind("UniqueName")
How can I calculate the needed value for this field programmatically and set it back to the screen so the user can see it (and possibly override it) and still keep the databinding intact so I can create the new record?

Ive got a Listbox which displays a data/record from a SQL database, it displays "Amount" and only numbers would appear. it has a datasource.
Goal: I'd Like to get the total sum of those numbers from the Listbox and Display it to a textbox automatically or by button click event.
I thought of two ways to do this, but I don't have a clue on what to do.
1. I tried summing it all up on that exact Listbox and display the total on the textbox, here's the code that i came up with..

But the data im working with is from a database, so i got this error:Conversion from type 'DataRowView' to type 'Double' is not valid.
2. I thought of having another Listbox and "Copy" the contents shown on the Listbox1 and then sum it all up on the Listbox2, then lastly display the Total on the Textbox. I did a little research on how to accomplish that but all the clue i found is that i have to disconnect the listbox data from the datasource from being bound, and reconnect it again.. I really don't have any idea on how i could do that with an SQL database.
Here's a quick flow on what im trying to accomplish to make things.
Record from Database -----Displays on---> Listbox1 -----User Clicks--> Button1 ----Displays Total sum on----> Textbox1
