Public
Class Form1

I am running this on my version of window 7 - my problem is that it is returning a IPv6 address and not a IPv4. I have searched and played around all evening to try and sort this out... to no avail.
Let say I have this class Public Class test End Class when I initialize the class by
Dim x as new Test x. <-- after the "." I can see the below methods
x.Equals
x.GetHashCode
x.GetType
x.ReferenceEquals
x.ToString

I'm trying to use ASP.NET MVC with older versions of IIS that have trouble with MVC's default routing. I found a suggestion to add .mvc.aspx to my routes. So instead of this:
routes.MapRoute( _
"Default", _
"{controller}/{action}/{id}", _
[Code]....
What do I need to change in IIS and/or my MVC application to get the default page to work correctly?
NOTE: I tried adding RouteTable.Routes.RouteExistingFiles = True per this answer, but that didn't seem to fix the problem.

View 1 RepliesI'm using silverlight3 and vb.net..I want to pass the value from Default.aspx to my App or Main page. I wrote the code in my default.aspx page which it is returning the local ip address of the client System, I would like that same address to be used in my silverlight pages.
VB code
Dim clientIPAddress = System.Net.Dns
.GetHostAddresses(strHostName).GetValue(0).ToString()
This clientIPAddress will get the local ip of the client which is like 192.168.1.12. Now i want this value to be passed to my main page. How to pass this value from default.aspx to my main page.

View 5 RepliesHow can I assign a value to a message box for when the default value displayed in the text box is unchanged. ie. If my default value is 17 and the user clicks ok without retyping a number, the Input value displayed in a textbox will be 0.
Currently I have:
Public Class Form1
Dim MyValue As Double
Private Sub But_EnterInput_Click(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles But_EnterInput.Click
MyValue = CDbl(InputBox("Input a value", "Data Input", "17", 200, 400))
[code]....
This works however if the user types 17, the textbox will read 0. not what i want.

View 2 RepliesIs there any simple way to hide all the design time properties of a User Control.
When my UC is on a form there's a lot of properties in the properties explorer. All those default ones that every UC has. AccessibleName, AccessibleRole, Anchor etc etc etc (dozens of the them)
Any way to hide most/all those and just expose my own ?
I suppose I want my User Control to be more like a 'Component' like the Timer and other components that don't have a UI. Short of rewriting my UC as a Component is there any quick way to hide all those form properties ?

I have two aspx pages. I need to send a textbox(record_id) value as a parameter from page1.aspx to page2.aspx to be utilized within a SqlCommand query in the VB code behind page. I would like to pass this parameter using the session. Page1 is a gridview which displays records from a sql datasource and on the edit button click the user is redirected to page2 which populates several textboxes and drop down lists and allows the user to edit the record.
page1.aspx:
<div id="header">
<h1>Page1</h1>
[code]......
If Page1.aspx opens Page2.aspx in a window, how can I have Page1.aspx refresh once Page2.aspx is closed?I have a page with data on it and I have a LinkButton set up so the user can edit that data. The LinkButton launches another windowed page with some text fields and a "Save" & "Cancel" button. Once one of those clicks I execute a save and close the window OR just disregard the information and close the window. I was hoping to have the initial window with the data on it refresh once the 2nd window is closed.

It seems that the aspx and aspx.cs files at no longer bound. The only fix I have found for this is to recreate the page and copy/paste my code. how to fix this without recreating the whole thing?
