Cant Found A Code That Opens Default Web Browser And Gets It A Address
Mar 23, 2010
i googled many and many keywords and sentences but , i cant found a code that opens the default web browser and gets it a address ( address is : text1.text )
Im using VB2005 express and the app im creating uses the web browser control.Basically I want to know if its possible to make the web browser control connect through a different ip address and port from your default web browser.
i am making internet search engine in vb 2010, i have textbox1 and button1,... i had to do webBrowser1.navigate("") but the problem is that i cant add "+" to it... cause we know that + is like &...... how can i override it???
also i want to launch it in default browser not webbrowser1 how can i do it??
I'm running VS2005, and when I right click on an object and select Go to Definition it brings me to the object browser instead of the actual code.Is there some settings that I can change to fix this? Note: it works properly for C# solutions, I am having the problem with Basic.
I made web browser which consist address bar that I use it to type addressess in it i.ewhen I type [URL] it opens [URL] but when I go to anther page in google it doesnot show it's link in address bar lix InterntExplorer or other international browsers so how to show any link or any sub page's link in my browser address bar ?
I am trying to make a web browser for a school project... and I have a few questions...
The first being that I have a textbox for my address bar and I want it to do a few things, I want it to expand when i set my browser to fullscreen , be able to press enter when typing in it and it will take me to that webpage and for it to show recent history... (i know it seems like a ton of expectations mainly i would like the first 2 the third is not as important) So i dont know how to do any of that...
I also would like to know how to go about making new tabs on demand and not have a bunch of tabs just sitting there...
last question how do i go about making new windows not just for browser windows but, making something like firefoxes options window.. not necisarily to do that but just to make i guess another form pop up...
I'm just starting to write a program to manipulate some intranet based databases using the web browser control, but have a problem with one specific database.I can log in from the start page of this database from my browser but it then opens in a new instance of IE (I think it's the java code (not java script) which does this when the page loads). How do I get it to open in my browser?OK, I can manipluate it with a doc object, but would prefer to do it in my browser for consistency, as the other databases open fine in my brower.I can't be more specific but could post the html text if necessary.Currently using the built in web control with VS2005 running on XP.
I Have Read Many other questions similar to this one and i still don't understand. I Made a tabbed web browser in visual basic 2010 and i think its going pretty well. The Only problem is when i go to another website and click on a link,it opens up in another web browser window such as Internet Explorer. Sometimes even on Mozilla Firefox.
I am creating my own browser. I want to make an option...to set as the browser to default. To do that I have to:Write a code which opens html(generally internet) file through my browser(form load event) DoneChange the "open with..." of the .html,.xml.... files Problem I want to change the open with event from my web browser. Actually i want an options form which will ask the user "Do you want to set /Browser name/ to be your default browser?" If yes then it will change the default options of the internet files.
I am creating a webbrowser with Visual Basic, and I have finished everything but this: When I click on an external link, (I.E. On a photo, or on youtube) it opens up in a new IE window. I want it to open in my browser, not Internet Explorer.I have read everything I have found on this subject, but it is all for normal web browsers. I want to do this for a tabbed web browser, not one without tabs. Basicly, I want to use this code with my tabbed web browser that uses tab control.
Private Sub WebBrowser1_NewWindow(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.ComponentModel.CancelEventArgs) Handles WebBrowser1.NewWindow
[code]....
convert the code to be used in a browser with tabcontrol? I tried, and it works with one that DOESN'T use it, but I want to use it with my browser with tabcontrol. And, I have read ALL of the ones previously given to other people.
I've just finished making a web browser suited for my personal use, but when I click on a new link or something it opens a new window in Internet Explorer - which gets extremely anoying.. Is there a way to make all links open up in a custom browser?
I'm trying to create a little executable that when launched opens an IE browser to various websites like news sites all in different tabs. for example, a tab for wsj, nytimes, etc. How do I access IE with vb.net? What reference do I need to add? I can't find any sample code that I can make work I think it is because I am missing a library in my assembly?
I coded a web browser over the course of a year called Nova - very advanced with tabbed browsing, bookmarks, homepage, history, etc etc etc etc. I could go on all day about how advanced it is. But.. there is one flaw. You cannot make it the default browser; I don't know the code!I already know the CommandLineArgs stuff so it actually opens the HTML file rather than just opening the program; in fact, I already can make files open with Nova completely. It's just the other stuff - you know, when a website is to be opened from a help file or something, it opens with Nova, Windows recognises it as the default browser, stuff like that.
Other topics around the Internet are all unfinished topics, so I'll ask this myself. How do I set a self-made browser as the default browser? I know it has something to do with accessing the registry and checking what the value is in some places, but I'm not quite sure. Now, I've made this browser called Nova;
very well coded and advanced, tabbed browsing, bookmarks, homepage, history, can change default search provider, uses Gecko as its engine so it's not just an IE shell, etc. It's been developed over the past year and will still continue to be developed. I'm almost ready to release the first version - but I just need this annoyance solved.
How do I make my web browser made in visual basic the systems deafult web browser, as well how do I make a feature that checks that the program is the deafult browser.
The SaveFileDialog that opens up while clicking the export button of the CrystalReportViewer by default filters the predefined file types. Is it possible to custom define which files to be filtered?
I'm creating a dataset (AddressDataset) that has 2 datatables - addreess and state.
Addrees: line varchar, state_id number State: state_id number, state_name varchar
I've created a data relation between state id on these tables. I'm setting up to combo boxes: cboAddreess, and cboState. I'd like cboState to change to the correct value when address changes.
Dim dbSelCommand As OleDbCommand Dim dbSelCommand2 As OleDbCommand dbSelCommand = New OleDbCommand
[code]....
This gives me "address cannot be found in binding source".
Q1: If I'm making a Web Browser with Visual Basics how would I make windows detect it so I can set it to my default browser?
Q2: How do I make it so when you click a link in your custom web browser that it opens a new window in your web browser, say I click a button on the internet and it opens in IE and I wanted it to open it in my custom web browser that I made with VB.
I have a problem connecting with mysql server 5.1. I tried several methods and been a lot of googling too but can't find the solutions yet. Here's the installed component btw[code]...
I'm using an ObjectDataSource to bind an object to a GridView. In the OnRowDataBound event handler I'm trying to determine if a certain button should be visible or not. When the runtime encounters this statement it fires an "No default member found for type 'Pledge'." error[code]...
I'm trying to use ASP.NET MVC with older versions of IIS that have trouble with MVC's default routing. I found a suggestion to add .mvc.aspx to my routes. So instead of this:
I have XML files I am trying to read and import. I have XSD files and have used the XSD.exe tool to create classes for the elements found in the XML files. The problem I have having is that the same file structure can be used for different "message types" (different data structures for different purposes). Because of this, the structure of the file is roughly this:
<Envelope> <BatchID>SomeNum</BatchID> <Messages>
[code]....
Where the Order element is, it could be one of a few different element types in the message based on the message type. Currently, I'm trying to read an order file. The XSD tool created all the classes fine but it creates an 'Item' object for that inner element and makes it one of the other strong types during the deserialization, so I end up with something like:
Envelope.Messages(0).Item
Item is just an object and is not strongly typed until the deserialization happens. If I look at the data in Item in a watch window during debugging, it shows it is the strongly typed class and has all the data in the members I would expect to see, but I can't seem to access them by name or set an instance of the strongly typed Order class equal to the Item object. Any attempts I've made so far to read the data have resulted in the "No default member found for type 'Order'" error.
Im trying to set one variable equal to another but it says "No default member found for type 'Decimal'" what does that mean? Both the varuables are deciamls, one is a regular decimal that I declare in the sub and another is an array that I declare in the class. The line is:
I need a connection string for connecting database. I have already used the connection string following. connStr= "Provider=MSDASQL;Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=c:\mydb.mdb;Data Source=SampleDSN"; But, I got error as "Data source not found and no default driver specified". [URL]
I would like to know is this possible.I have a simple form in vb2008 with a button and textbox when i press the button i would like textbox to display my default router ip address.
i have a question like can i put code on my application that when user PC (windows) default web browser like internet explorer or google chrome or both web browser navigate [URL] then a msgbox appear on my application that "You are currently on google web service"
