Aug 6, 2011I made web browser which consist address bar that I use it to type addressess in it i.ewhen I type [URL] it opens [URL] but when I go to anther page in google it doesnot show it's link in address bar lix InterntExplorer or other international browsers so how to show any link or any sub page's link in my browser address bar ?

May 14, 2011I am trying to make a web browser for a school project... and I have a few questions...
The first being that I have a textbox for my address bar and I want it to do a few things, I want it to expand when i set my browser to fullscreen , be able to press enter when typing in it and it will take me to that webpage and for it to show recent history... (i know it seems like a ton of expectations mainly i would like the first 2 the third is not as important) So i dont know how to do any of that...
I also would like to know how to go about making new tabs on demand and not have a bunch of tabs just sitting there...
last question how do i go about making new windows not just for browser windows but, making something like firefoxes options window.. not necisarily to do that but just to make i guess another form pop up...

Mar 23, 2011In my program I am trying to make a combobox that when the user hits enter it will navigate the web browser to the site address that the user entered into the combobox. I tried this code:

Nov 27, 2010I have never used a web browser in my programs before and i am not an amateur programmer. I decided to play around with the web browser tool i was trying to set up a simple program that when the web browser navigates to ie: [URL]. After it navigates there is a panel on the side of the program that has two text box's and a button. two text boxes one for email and one for password and after you click the button it puts the text you have in those text boxes and it puts it into the Facebook text box logins. There is something wrong with my code

Feb 9, 2010Ive got an app that holds a list of site we have, At each site there are a few devices. The idea is when they click on a site all the details for the site are loaded and then a second thread sits and pings each device to see if its live. Im trying to do this in a seperate thread so if they click another site while its still pinging them it doesn't wait before it switches site. This all seems to be workling fine except if you click through the sites quickly, when you do that it will eventually come up with

User Can Change The Update Site With Out Building The Program Again With The New Site?
Oct 13, 2010When i publish my program i choose to let the application check for updates via a website and if their is one update automatically when the program starts. Is their a way were on the main user form i can make it so that the user can change the update site with out me building the program again with the new site. I want to do this becuase the site i use goes down alot so when i changed the update url no one was able to download the update for the new update server.

The app works fine in every detail when installed on the development computer. But, on the target computer when the command button is clicked an unhandled exception occurs which says: System.IO. This works fine on the development computer. Do I need a way to code this as a relative path? If so,can you tell me how this is done?Throughout the app I have written relative paths to needed files using paths like (Open(Environment. GEtFolderPath (Environment. SpecialFoldder.Desktop) + "File Name). They all work fine when deployed.
Label Staging Site To Prevent It From Being Used As If It Were The Production Site
May 18, 2012I'm being asked to maintain several internal-only web apps for my company. For testing, after making my changes, I've created some staging sites which make use of separate databases. As such, if my users were to mistakenly use this site as if it were the production site, they may enter important data and wonder where it "disappeared" to thinking it was the production server.
I'd like to create a big banner of some sort across the top of the staging site (which ONLY appears on the staging site) to remind my users that they are on the test site. I'd like recommendations on the best way to do this, with the following considerations:

Make A Custom Made Browser Default Browser
Feb 12, 2012I coded a web browser over the course of a year called Nova - very advanced with tabbed browsing, bookmarks, homepage, history, etc etc etc etc. I could go on all day about how advanced it is. But.. there is one flaw. You cannot make it the default browser; I don't know the code!I already know the CommandLineArgs stuff so it actually opens the HTML file rather than just opening the program; in fact, I already can make files open with Nova completely. It's just the other stuff - you know, when a website is to be opened from a help file or something, it opens with Nova, Windows recognises it as the default browser, stuff like that.
