My question is how would I code a click event for an object that isn't on the forum initially? Also, how can I keep track of which object is assigned to which data in an array? View 7 RepliesI have created a little program that helps me keep track of tons of data by inserting it into sql. I created 5 forms and all 5 can insert data at the same time, but mostly just 1 of these is working continuously. I have noticed that the program will run, then at random times it will stop responding (can't minimize/click on anything/data entry stops), and the only way to stop is to kill the task. I can't even click in the debugger to set a break point when it happens, and setting breakpoints before debugging is useless as the program could run 2 hours and stop, or 10 minutes and stop. 5 forms, they open different excel files, insert data into sql, and repeat.

But, I can't, for the life of me, fathom how to sit down and write a video to DVD. I know this is largely academic (Just use the available libraries!) still, I'd really like some direction on how I would/could go about doing this myself.

I just need to know how to rip and burn Cds using VB.net (without using any dependencies if possible). So far in my multi-media project, the only dependency currently is LAME.EXE for converting wave files to MP3 files - and even that dependency will go if I can successfully convert certain C++ listings to VB.

It would be wonderful if i could setup a custom menu programatically as well. I have seen some documentation on Imapi 2.0 but i have not been able to find too much suppoert for it. I have also found a few SDK's out there but most are over $1000 which just isnt in the budget.

hi there,first of i know nothing at all and my goal is to make a app for xp to check a database and check/patch a iso and then to burn the result to dvd-dl, basically like a app called abgx360 checks the database then like xbox backup creator burns the game, i'd like to make a app to do both, i'm going to college next year in september to learn programing c+ andf a few other things, but thats a longtime away.

What i'm working on is an application to save screenshots to files as soon as the 'Print Screen' key is pressed, as Jpegs or what ever. What i want to do is be able to minimize the application and I still want the application pick up on any 'Print Screen' presses, and save the screenshots. I've tried using the KeyPress event, but I soon realized that it only worked when the application had focus. I plan on using it to save screenshots every time I press 'Print Screen'

View 4 RepliesSo basicly ive made a media player in vb using the windows media player control and everything is fine except that when i use the trackbar to navigate on a video it starts stopping and starting like a scratched cd (there is nothing wrong with the video file) strangely this does not happen whilst playing audio files the shaking stops if i pause it for a second ant then play it again but incorporating a pause in the trackbar function does not help. when i create a class ( ie ahuman ), i declare a object (ahuman) , i give it properties and with the properties i also can set the property ahuman , by creating the property ahuman (new) and set its variables, and declare its variables by declaring properties like weight, lenght, female or not.the problem for me is that i have multiple forms multiple class files , i cant oversee how to get track of all the new instances of classes.it is much easier to use pulbic shared properties to use a method in another class.
View 1 RepliesI've done a trackbar like photoshop by using a panel and a picture box and move it in mousemove event, anyway this track bar was very slow because while the user is scrolling the trackbar it gives an event to change the hue of a picturebox,the track bars should be like the hue, saturation, lightness track bars in photoshop.
