Whats the differences between Visual Basics 2008 Express Edition and Visual Basics .NET ? I have a Visual Basics .NET tut book and some things are gettting confusing like after my fonts, brushes and graphics are put in g.drawstring("text", f, b, x, x)doesn't work and how can I preview my work in action? I cannot find the start button..
I have an application which is supposed to convert a video via DirectShowSource.I have a checkbox which enables a button called "btnviewcrop" which shows a new form called crp.vb for cropping/shearing pixels off the video.
Now, I have a Panel1 that I want to set as the owner (the video drawing surface) but when I set it to open, the application crashes (Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.) and I do not understand how to fix it.
this is my first time making an application so I would like to make a Login form in VB. I haven't gotten into any problems so far but my question to you are the following1) Is it possible for me to make an event/action that will allow it to work with the script that is php? IE: Application has a button that will scan all files in /public_html for viruses, when the button is clicked, it will send the event to cPanel and make it scan all files.2) Once the user has connected and all information has been verified make another window show and the new application will be the new window.Another question I have isRight now I'm using WHMCS(url..) for my billing system they have an intergtation code that I use for my web page and it goes like this
a datacontext defined in a module(domain services ado.net ria)a page having add/delete methods whenever any method is executed, it is found that all the previous actions (NEW RECORD ADDITION and DELETION OF RECORDS) are carried out before the new action is carried out normally
this behaviour is not prominent but "when using break points and inspecting the values of the variables and table object to be added to context, it is clear that all the previous actions take place again. even when the datacotext. savechanges is called, even after that still all actions carried out on the datacontext repeat themseleves, when any new action is to be carried out
I have been working on an HTML editor, and I need to know how to make the "Preview" tab show a preview of the HTML code located in the TextBox in the "Code" tab.
I found that when group by multiple values does not work well with VB.NET, but it works well with C# ,here are my code, is there something wrong with my VB.NET Code? Here is my VB.NET code:
The problem I am seeing is that if i try to do a key preview and i click on a control they form never gets the preview or i am just retarded im not sure which one is the case.. And it really did not seem relevant to put any code in here if you dont know how to do a key preview allready then you probably dont know the answer.
I have an application that requires data be entered, and after entering, a button is clicked to process that data. Clicking the button works just as it should--the data is processed properly. In constructing a test module, I provide a set of data values, followed by:
btnWhatever.PerformClick()
Nothing happens. I have used this syntax for years, and it has always worked flawlessly. I have triple checked everything else and isolated the problem to the failure of the PerformClick(). The PerformClick() is in a test subroutine that does nothing but fill textboxes and labels with default data, then calls the PerformClick() on the button to begin processing. Again, the button works fine, the data is entered as it should be, but the PerformClick() does not fire the click event.
I have a form that works on my local Machine I created into. I have Office 2007 on this machine. I created the Form with the Excel 12 Reference. I could not get the form to work on work computer. IT has a com error. I am acessing the EXE for the debug folder w/in the Bin Folder.
I created a control using the rich text box to load in IE. However, when I try to print the text, the area where I load the box comes out completely black. How can I allow IE to print out the text in the box without having to take a print screen?
I draw a panel with scroll(Autoscrollminsize=A4 paper), and the size of panel just 732, 687. I want to print all of the control in panel. my problem is i can not print more than 1 page. here my
Private Sub pd_BeginPrint(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Drawing.Printing.PrintEventArgs) Handles pd.BeginPrint ' Start at the beginning of the text
With VB or C#, I need to print some pre-printed form (invoice, payroll ..) with a preview on the screen. I do that with GDI+ and PrintPreviewDialog.I have the pre-printed form as a jpg file. First I draw this jpg file then I draw all text to fill the form.
Dim myBackground As New Bitmap("D:Ressourcesinvoice_12.jpg") e.Graphics.DrawImage(myBackground, 1, 1)
i have a list view of all the files in a folder within my application. is it possible to have a picture box in my app which if the user clicks on a file in the list view that happens to be a image the picture box displays it?
I 've been searching for quite a while to find a way to preview ANY type of file (not just images) much like the Windows XP Explorer does. Eventually I found a solution, using the WebVW.dll (which I had to import to .NET by using AxImp.exe - more info here). This, actually worked like a charm.
However, recently I upgraded to Windows 7, that, in all their greatness, spoiled my hard-earned solution
It seems that WebVW.dll doesn't ship with W7, and even more, it won't register even if you find it, so my solution cannot be deployed.Does anyone have any idea how to go about this?
I was creating Program that can extract stored BMP File that used by a game as interface of game, I want to preview the BMP into picture box WITHOUT extracting the BMP, and the BMP data ONLY store Main Data and doesn't contains Header BMP... but its store some information about bmp in other offsetThe File structure is like this (Offset in decimal):
Offset 12: Store Width of BMP (Short Integer) Offset 14: Store Height of BMP (Short Integer) Offset 21: Store Size of BMP File in bytes format (Short Integer) Offset 28: Store BMP Byte (Without Header of BMP) I Store that information into Datagridview...I already successfully to extract the image by creating the Header then write the bmp Byte into offset 54 (offset 0 - 53 is header of bmp file), Here my code to extract the BMP:
Dim Frame As String = DataGridView1.SelectedCells(0).Value ' Frame Name Dim Width As Integer = DataGridView1.SelectedCells(3).Value ' Width Image Dim Height As Integer = DataGridView1.SelectedCells(4).Value ' Height Image
The Print Preview document is set to the print document.[code]...
When I print the document (from print preview or my print button) the papersize/margins are different...this is how:
1. If I draw a rectangle from (0,0) to some width or height the point is in the corner of the print preview but on my actual printed page it is about 1/4 in to the right and 1/8 in down.
2. I have an extra inch or so on the right side and bottom of the "page" that print preview will print to but will be cut off in actual printing.
I am assuming that there are some default settings (like the printer gutter and letter paper size) that print is getting from the printer that print preview is not, possibly. I need to have my print preview look exactly like my actual printed page.
I am trying to get this code to re-size(by a percent) the pdf thumbnail it outputs(which needs to be initially scaled down to 15% of the size of the original pdf document size).Currently, the code only adds the two dimensions as pixels, then renders the image, and draws it into a PictureBox.The code uses Ghostscript as you can see. The problem I am having is getting the dimensions of the PDF file. How can this be done? The code will be posted below:
I have 2 forms, 1 is for control and the other is for display. Its 2 because the 1 for display will consume the whole screen and there's no space for buttons.Im trying to control form4 using form2 or some other form, navigating a certain webpage in the process.
I have this code for the control: but it does not work, what would I do?[URL]..
This should be simple, but the answer is eluding me. If I've got a Save action in my controller, and the save fails, how do I cancel the action without disturbing what the user entered? For example, Index is strongly-typed of "MyTable":
Function Index() As ActionResult ViewData("message") = "Hello" Return View(New MyTable)
[Code]....
In the Catch, if I put Return View(form), I lose the message passed via ViewData. If I redirect to Index, I'll lose what the user entered. I think I've seen the simple (correct) way to handle this before, but if you don't know what to search for, it's hard to find.
I know there are several ways to publish updates but I would like to know the best way to do it. What I already have configured is a shard network folder which I intend to have the program update from there. What would the best way to publish updates to the folder be?
I'm attempting to grab an image from a webcam without having to connect a driver to a window. I'm predominately using code from a devx tutorial. On page two of the tutorial, it shows how to grab a frame using WM_CAP_EDIT_COPY. The only problem is, I don't want a preview window. I want to simply grab the image without having to associate a window handle to a PictureBox for previewing.
