I am adding watermark text to PDFs in a class library I have created. The code I posted below works fine, however the watermark is sometimes difficult to read because it overlays with content on the PDF. How would I go about adding a white background color around the watermark text? I basically would like the watermark text to be surrounded inside a white rectangle the size of the text.

I thought about just setting the background color of the line by using the y_line1 and using a modulus to determine if the color should be grey or white. But I have found no code samples anywhere about how to set a whole line background color..

As it stands, I'm still working on my first program (A very simple, select a shape from a combo box and input values and the program gives you the area) and I have it working well enough, I'm just working on cleaning up my code and changing that disabled text box color. As it stands, the default disabled color is very similar to the enabled color, and I don't want to just change the enabled color. I'd rather change the disabled to work with the scheme a little better.

View 3 RepliesI am opening an exe that launches in a hidden cmd window, and redirecting the text to a RichTextBox on a form. The problem is that the status messages in the cmd window are in color, but the redirected text in the RichTextBox has no color information and show as black on white. However, all the status messages in the cmd window have headers that could be parsed in some way so I can add color to them for my RichTextbox. For example, a message in the cmd window might read: [Warning] No settings file was found, using default values instead. This message is in Yellow in the cmd window.

I want the background of my form to be the same color as the window frame color that the user selects, even if that changes. I selected System->WindowFrame as my background color, but it always remains a dark grey, regardless of what I have my window color set to. How else would I achieve what I want? I assumed I was doing it the correct way. Do I actually need code that gets the system window color and then apply it?

I am using iTextSharp to add watermarks to existing PDF files & using PDF-XChange Viewer [URL] to view & print the PDF's. The problem is that the watermarks don't display in PDFXC & print out with the spacing all messed up. Is there a certain way I need to create the watermark with iTextSharp in order for it to display in PDFXC?

I still am using this code, however, I changed the window size to work better and gave it a nicer background for the title screen of my project. Now what I am working on at the moment is making a settings form that has 2 labels. One for "Default" Layout and one for "Plain" layout. When default is at start, the default label is disabled,and when plain layout is clicked, the button is disabled and default button is enabled.Basically, this is a toggle switch for default or plain where if one is enabled, the option for it is disabled and the other is enabled.My problem is that when I switch from Plain back to default, the background Image will not switch back from the plain background color of "control"Here is my code:

I am automating Word from VB.Net.I open a document by:

where path points to a template file I created with a header and a watermark. The template has some bookmarks which I want to dynamically set to some appropriate text values:

If I comment out that line, the document opens in Word with the watermark, etc, in place. If I let that line execute, it inserts the text as appropriate, but the watermark and other things disappear from the document. You can actually see it flash briefly, and then disappear.FWIW, this is Office Word 2007, and I am opening a .Dot (Word 97-2003) template. The Bookmark.Range.Text I am setting is in the document header.
I don't know what I did now, but I managed to somehow have form1's properties show background color as black, but it is a light silver color and no matter what color I assign it, it will not change. right now form1 is empty of textboxes, labels, etc. There is code in it for my menu and the other forms.

I found this on the web after i was searching on how to change the background color of a dateTimePicker the actual background of the control not the background of the calendar within the control.
