Aug 3, 2010I am desperate in solving the following puzzle: I use a thermal camera (a camera that captures thermal images by working in the infrared spectrum).The camera produces thermal jpeg files that includes visual (the picture one can see) together with the thermal data (thermal energy levels) in one jpeg fully radiometric(=file that holds energy data) file.
What I want to do is to try to extract the energy level data for each and every pixel of the image (usually 320X240) and store it in a table, using my old favorite vb.net if possible.

Feb 6, 2012I am trying to create a client server application. Server side is vb.net program which runs in my computer and listens for commands. Client side is J2ME application which is in my mobile that will send commands.
I have a Bluetooth dongle for my computer and I am going to use Bluetooth as the medium. Wifi is not supported by my mobile.
I know basics of VB.Net(using VB2010). And I have Oracle's J2ME SDK installed in my computer and I have created small(simple applications) applications using it.
So, I have searched in Google. But most of the results are confusing. Today I found Wireless Communication Library .NET Edition. But documentation is very poor. So I don't know in between things, that is connection establishment. But I can code how to execute when each command is received at both sides.

Jun 15, 2011I have a Windows Form Application which has been developed in vb.net 3.5. It is a charting program and shows stock market charts to users. Now I have made another program in vb.net (same .net version) and I want this program to interact with the one I made before. The new program is like a small scripting language. So for example: if I run a script then its output should be reflected in the other program. How can the two programs communicate ? Both will be running on same systems. No remote stuff. I mean passing arrays,strings or possibly structures.
Plus I have several functions which are written in first program. Is it possible for the other program which is an .exe also to call the functions of the other one if I make sub/function public or something. The reason is we can calls functions or subs if we include a dll. But can one exe calls functions/sub of another exe (if both program are in .net).

Would run on windows mobile 6 I would like to have both these versions store and read data from a database that can be stored centrally either on a webserver or somewhere on the LAN.
I would like to know can i use Access as my backend database or sql server ? will windows mobile app be able to access it and read and write to it Note : I would prefer to create only one database that will just store the details in the tables and do not need any other functionality. All functions such as save,edit,delete,search,filter etc with be done from the FRONT-END VB.NET interface ONLY If you suggestion involves the use of 2 databases such as one for desktop version and one for windows mobile then please also tell me how would i sync the data between them.

I am trying to use the same code that I use in the Compact Framework application. It compiles without errors and runs but when Invoking a function I get error ex = {"An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (later SQL etc)Before anyone gets all upset and thinking this is for SPAM - wrong - these are to confirm connectivity from the application for sending logs OR to ensure the SQL conneciton is working appropriately - Those that want to SPAM can do this simply by getting LINUX and doing it for free with ANY mail client (I add this ONLY because MOST SMTP threads go unanswered... which is silly... there are MANY good reasons to work with mail within an application.....)So what I have tried is opening a telnet session, grabbing the output, and going from there...But it is not working.... the output contains nothing specific to the telnet session I initiate - and.... of course from the command prompt manually i DO get the proper responses

I get the command prompt header, I see the commands... I see the prompts... but after the telnet command there is nothing I am assuming there is an issue redirecting telnet info and the telnet session terminates the second I try to read the data

It only shows a window not the actually bar.Also this may be important it shows the window, but when I navigate to explorer.exe 'C:Windowsexplorer.exe' and open it there. The explorer bar does show up.
