with this condition(PACK_DATE > "1388/11/07" 366 records) everything works well.but when i change date to 1388/11/06 1260 records or 1388/11/05 5460 records or ... following error occurs:
I have a datagridview which have 5 columns. The name of the columns are T,C,F,S,H. [cod]e...
So i want to display this data in datagried view. I must display the number beside T to T column, the number beside C to C column and so on. It should only display number in the respective column. It should not display the T,C and so on. [code]...
I have a data grid view on a FrmItem Form, data grid fill with table item master and item master have 1 lack item. when user click on item text box then FrmItem Form call and when user choose any item then FrmItem form close and it return item code.The problem is every time when user press any key on Item text box, Frmitem load 1 lack item which takes a lot of time around 10 second.So i want Data grid fill when i start application and use that Data grid on the Frmitem form.data grid is already loaded and its not take more time. may be its show with in seconds.
I am trying have a data grid selection populate a form. I am new to this.Basically I have a connection persistance object and I would like to call that and call a stored procedure with the value of the selection. The datagrid is bound to an object.
I have a huge amount of data in flat-file format that I would like to validate with Visual Basic 2010. Basically the data is a text file with 300 comma separated fields and 500,000 records.
Any tips, sample code or examples? Are any .NET classes specifically geared for data validation?
As I have different validation rules for each field (some fields are dates, some are currency, etc.) I would like to store the rules away from the code (e.g. in an SQL database table). Has anyone seen this done before?
This is failing because it's calling the Post method (where "covered" can't be empty) instead of the Get. I tried decorating the Get with <AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Get)>, but it doesn't change the outcome.how do I get it to use the Get? I realize I could change the names to not be ambiguous, but I want to know why it won't pick the Get if I'm only passing "bpid".
I have code in an ASP.NET form that needs to, depending on user entry create messages in the database. We are speaking of potentially thousands of db entries. How do I protect against deadlocks, I mean apart from using Transactions and setting IsolationLevel to Serializable, as well as using WITH(NOLOCK) statement on my select statements since I don't mind a dirty read.
var content = $("#content_layout"); //some code here content.load("claim_form.aspx?claim_no=" + file_number);
The claim_form.aspx has a drop down, and based on that drop down it should show the apropriate input fields. I set the index to be 1 and automatically load the first set of inputs. Here is some code to explain it better:
$("#request_type").change(function(e) { index = document.getElementById("request_type").selectedIndex; if (index == "0") {
My app is a fairly simple and im sure with the right knowledge this would take 2 minutes.. but sadly iv been at it for hours. So my scenario here is a huge network with 20+ file servers all with data spread out across them it can take hours to find the folder required.
Hence this app.. so it consist of a input box, progress bar and a button, using FileSystemObject I plan to interrogate a directory to see if a folder exists (folder specified by user input) however it need to check multiple directories, in my old app I used a list box which wrote to a text file allowing the user to add additional directories then using if statements proceeded through the servers.. however they have added that much that my IF's have ran out really because i know it should have been a loop
Imports System Imports System.IO Public Class Frm_main Private Const FILE_NAME As String = "C:directories.txt" Dim objReader As New System.IO.StreamReader(FILE_NAME) Dim Lines() As String = IO.File.ReadAllLines(FILE_NAME) Dim Dir As String
So I'm new to Ajax. I have an ASP.NET wizard panel wrapped in an ASP Ajax UpdatePanel. The Ajax is working well, with the page doing partial updates as you step through the wizard. I'm even firing an animated gif images using the unblockUI.js jQuery library to prevent multiple page submits.
This is a VB .NET application where we are showing the output of a SQL statement in a Datagrid view. using .NET 2005.We need to get the seperators of the headers on the grid control to be the same colors as the GridColor on the form. See the picture below:We've tried looking through all of the properties of the DataGridView control, and found some interesting things that looked promising such as the DataGridViewAdvancedHeaderStyle, and DataGridViewHeaderBorderStyle, but none of it seems to allow you to change the colors on it.Does anyone know how to do this without remaking the entire thing with a GDI+ control?
I have the below code that i am trying to have two datagrids with a grid splityter in the middle. The split seems to be working fine but the issue i am having is when I populate the datagrid it is growing in height and changing the splitter instead of leaving the height alone and adding scroll bars.
What simple thing am I overlooking? <Grid x:Name="gdHistory" Grid.Column="0" Grid.Row="2" > <Grid.RowDefinitions>
I have an vb 2008 express application that connects to an Access db via oledb (configured by the VB wizard), then from the db it feeds two datagrid views. It works perfectly in my PC however when installing it to other pcs get an exception...

I have a problem with importing an excel into a data grid.
Here is my code:
Try Dim _Obj As New ExcelConnection.ExcelConnection _Obj.ImportAttendence("c:Info_pc.xls", DataGrid1) Catch ex As Exception
End Try
In the excel i have numers and text and "Service Pack", "Processor Speed" and "Numar procesoare(Number of processors)" and the values for these are numers. in the data grid when i import the excel those values doesn't appear, i receive the value "null".
The following is my connectionstring: server=(local);database=JnJ3;uid=sa;pwd=sa May I know how can I avoid timeout expired because I keep on receiving error message when deal with huge amount of data. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
I have very large csv file (more than 400MB - several milions of lines).I need to load lines from this single csv file into Grid,so it must incrementally loaded as you scroll down (paging).
In my project, form_double Click and Form_Maximize is not working when i do break point. Its not Button_Click, Form_Load. I want to do like this. "My project design form grid column size is small when form load and want to be large grid column size when the form is maximize."
I have 1 datagridview and i want to transfer all records to another datagridview, how can i possibly do that. Newbie here. This is my code in transferring 1 record to another datagridview to another one.
I'm trying to load several grids based on the Type values in my xml file. For example my xml file is in the following format:[code]How do I accomplish this when in the load event of my windows form?
I have a gridview which generate a link based on certain condition inside the Grid from code behind. What I want to achieve is when I click on that link, I want to catch all the information from the row that the link is in. So for example, if row 1, 2, and 4 has links in cell 5, When I click row 1's link, I want to get all the cell value from row 1. When I click on row 2's link, I want to get all the cell value from row 2, etc. I am somewhat close but not quite. When I click on row 2, I still get the same value from row 1, same as when I click on row 4, I get the same value from row 1.In short, I want to get the row's value based on the link that's in the row. Here's my code:
$('a.SendEmail').click(function(e){ var Name = $('#<%=GridView2.ClientID%> td:eq(1)').text(); var Id = $('#<%=GridView2.ClientID%> td:eq(2)').text();
So here is the situation. I am originally a PHP developer, here are my steps to render data:
PHP gather data from DataBase PHP write data to JavaScript JavaScript render using JQuery to HTML HTML display to user User Postback to PHP PHP write back to Database with new data
Now I am using VB.NET and I need to use their paradigm with controls and what not. However I would like to render using JQuery and JavaScript. How do I get data into JavaScript when loaded in VB and get it back once user post?
I am using thickbox,and everything works fine in regards to loading the page. So my div's are loaded fine and data can be inserted in the textboxes. Now when it comes to submitting the data, i need 2 things to happen. get the form to submit, so i can work on vb.net side for postback and other functions. When the form is submitted i want the thickbox to close.
[URL] Using this I have managed to use Server Side Web Methods to perform actions with AJAX.In most instances, I just need it to do stuff (save things to a database for example) so don't need to do anything with the response, but now I've come across a situation where I do, and I can't work it out!The Web Method returns a JSON object, which looks like this:
{"d":"[{"validDetails":"True","lateAlert":"","LoginResponse":"Logging in Jamie at 16:53 please wait"}]"}
This is the output shown from Firebug. I am not sure what the 's are, but bear with it...The AJAX call and attempt at outputting this response is:
$("form").on("submit", function () { var LogonObject = new Object; LogonObject.password = $('#password').val();
[code]....
And several other variations from info I have found on Google and SO, but it seems to treat the results variable as a string, not an array, and the output I get on the alerts is each individual character, ie;
[, {, ", v, a, l, i, d, D... etc
So I wondered if results needed to be converted to JSON again (though I don't know why) so I tried
results = $.parseJSON(data.d)
But that didn't work either.
EDIT, the code which generates the response (missing out tons of logic, but this is the important bit):
Public Class OutputObject Public validDetails, lateAlert, LoginResponse As String 'content of JSON output' End Class
I'm creating a reporting web page as part of a standard VB.NET web application. The page is data driven, with jquery making calls to a web service local to the application to get values of elements that are dynamically created in the DOM. Ultimately these dynamic elements and their values are all wrapped up in a JSON object, so that part of the client side is fine.
Right now, I can pass that JSON object to a method in the web service which creates an SQL Data adapter from the values and queries a database. My ultimate goal is to have this client JSON data be used to query the database and construct an excel file to send back to the user, or failing that a CSV file.
It's my understanding (from working with PDF file generation) that this type of function can only be done on the server side of the web application, not even from the web service (i.e. I can't have the web service return an array of bytes and have JavaScript/jQuery present that as a file).
So, how do I go about this? Now I have my JSON object on the client side, where should I be sending it, how, and how do I go about returning my file?
I've read about either storing the JSON in a hidden field and having the server take the elements value and go from there, or using AJAX to send the JSON to the server just before a postback is made to fire off the server-side function to run the query and return the data.
I just need a little guidance, and a little help understanding where to use the hidden field, or what I am actually doing with the pre-postback AJAX call.
