What I'm trying to do is click an html link inside of a html table via code in vb.net using a web-browser control. The link I want to click can be anywhere in the first column of the table so I need to cross reference with another column in the table to make sure I have the re way I'm going about this is to loop through the html elements till I find the table I want (multiple tables on the page) then dump that table to an array. Then loop through the page again get to the table I want and then start comparing the link and another column in the now array. I need to check to make sure that the url of the link contains a work and that another column in the table contains a specific or lower numerical value. Basically where I'm stuck is while dealing with the html element "Table" wanting to identify and interact with another html element inside it.
'Flag to say dump to array
Dim RecordFiles As Boolean = False
'The last two headers in the table are blank so need to skip them
Dim FirstBlank As Boolean = False
Dim SecondBlank As Boolean = False
[Code] .....

This may sound really stupid but I have to ask cause I'm not finding this answer anywhere.I have an application where the user will need to sign up for a new user account on the website [URL]..However when I am using Firefox's plug-in Firebug to view html I am getting something totally different than when I just right click on the site and view the page source.
What I am trying to do is to get the captcha from the website and display it in a picturebox on the application so the user can view the captcha, solve the captcha and then the app post is back to the service for a response.
Here is the source that I am getting using Firefox's Firebug to inspect the element:
<td>
<input type="hidden" value="Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK" name="iden">
<img class="capimage" src="/captcha/Oo3Jo1I8bgzK68agMqo3s79ZZib2OkbK.png" alt="i wonder if these things even work">
</td>
[Code]...
Why would the two be showing me two different versions of the HTML?
And how would you be able to grab that source to view in a picturebox using webclient?

This makes no since to me I have a textbox that the user will put in information that I need to cut off so I wrote this code
txtMatID.Text = Trim(Mid(txtMatID.Text, 1, (InStr(txtMatID.Text,
"-") - 1)))
The user will imput a number value then a - then some words after that. I just want the number value. But when I try to debug the app it breaks on this line of code with this error. Argument 'Length' must be greater or equal to zero.

I disabled an exception because it was bugging me i couldnt find an intermittent error. My program reads textmessages from a phone, however a problem sometimes arises, and I am slowly pinpointing the areas of the code that cause issues. I have found however that it is sometimes here:
'Get a string of certain length
Shared Function GetString(ByRef PDUCode As String, ByVal Length As Integer) As String
[Code]....
check to see if length is zero AND thereofre try again in a moment, (because it usually works second time for some reason). I can think how to get around the exception

How would i get a certain text inside a textbox to equal that text space to space or null to space?
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
If Textbox1.Text.StartsWith(Textbox2.Text + " ") And Not String.IsNullOrEmpty(Textbox2.Text) Then
Textbox1.Text = Textbox1.Text.Remove(0, Textbox2.TextLength)
Textbox3.AppendText("a")
End If
Btw: after i finish this step my project will be finished!

I am working on a sale report program. Its purpose is to record the new item and the amount made from the item mon - fri. My problem isn't getting the total. I am using a For..Next to do this. The problem is that everytime i add a new item it changes all of the previous items weekly totals as well. Thus throwing off my Total Sales. My initial suspicion is that since i don't have it added as part of the output i display it changes and re-adds it to all old items.
The section of code below is the area where i believe my problem is.
The Array itemNames holds 10 elements for the Items sold.
The Array itemSales holds the weekly price data.
' add item to listbox
For counterItem = 0 To itemCount Step 1

I'm trying to read an innerHTML string from an element on a webpage. I've loaded the page using the webbrowser browser class.
Here's the code in full
Imports System.Net
Imports System.IO
Imports System.Diagnostics
[Code]...
When I click button 1 for the first time I recieve the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." but when I click it the second time it returns the elements text perfectly.
I thought the wb.document element might not be instantiated so I've tried navigating to a page (google's homepage) before loading the page I want put with no success.
I also thought that maybe it wasn't giving the page time to load so I added the sub to deal with the documentCompleted event but this also returns nothing (though wb.document.url is set correctly to the webpage I want)

How do I check if an HTML element exists? This element will only "show" on a certain event. ex: numbers in a non-number textbox or something. I tried
If WebBrowser1.Document.GetElementsByName("ElementName")
But that won't work, because the element "is in" the HTML, even though the page doesn't show it yet.
