Make Program To Find Numbers On Form And Do That Without Making So Many 'Same' Codes?

[code]How i can make The Program to find Numbers On Form and Do That without making So Many "Same" Codes? Its Pretty Annoying To Make Big Program nad only Copying and Pasting Text.
I would like to create an application that can browse the DLL file and use the codes inside it. Not by adding it as a reference, or something. Just browsing the DLL file to use the codes inside it.
I cannot find a way to make a program that I write make a shortcut in the start menu for all users. My final goal is to make an MSI and deploy it in group policy to all users on a computers OU. Is this possible?
I'm brand spanking new to coding (as well as this forum). And I'm learning Visual Basic 2010 in School. Right now I am working on the following problem: "Use a masked text box to as a user to enter a phone number in a format as follows: (604)323-5819. Make sure you add input mask to the area code and phone number. Both the phone number and the area code are required. Then extract the area code and display it in a text box when a button is clicked." Here is my code, I've got it where I can input the number, and when the button is clicked (things actually appear in the text box!) however instead of getting the area code, I get "als" or alternatively if I put (0,3) I'll get "fals" I don't understand what I'm doing wrong or even where "fals" is coming from. Can someone please explain to me what I'm doing wrong? I've literally been at this since 4pm today and only just (midnight) able to get it to this point and I'm incredibly frustrated as to where these letters are coming from. [code]
I needed to make a program for finding prime numbers. The logic is that you have to put limits n & m and then LOOP and odd-integer P between n & m inclusive. I have a button to click on my form that displays 2 message boxes, one saying " enter upper limit" and the other say "enter lower limit". I need now to get the results of the odd prime numbers between the limits into a list box!
Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
how to make a program that makes all the possible characters and numbers (A-Z & a-z & 0-9) from 5-20 characters, and put them in a list or something?
Someone may think this is bruteforce hacking, but I don't see why I should do that? If I want to find a password on 13 characters, it would be: 62^13 = 200028539268669788905472 possibilities... in other words... it would take forever!
I am new to VB.Net and programming all together. I am trying to make a program that will take 2 numbers input by the user, Add them together and display the sum. Then take the sum and divide it individually by each number to give you what percent of the sum the numbers are. I'm working on making it a program that will calculate the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium for my Anthro Class. I'm just doing this for practice for my VB.Net Class. But i will move onto that at a later time. I just want to finish this first.
So.. Here is my code so far. It's not complete yet but this is should be enough to make it function.
I am making the tough transition from VBA to VB and would be pleased to hear from a VB expert. I am trying to make a program to grab numbers from the screen so that I can log them to a text file. The numbers are part of a flash animation which is regularly updating the number I want to capture and as there is no API i am grabbing the region where the number is displayed into a bitmap and then want to recognise the number with OCR. The code below grabs the screen region ok.
So im making a text replacer for PSP Programmers to easily convert the codes to NitePR format. None of you know what that is but w/e Heres my problem I load the text file that has the code into a text box.
Then i press the button to convert. It has this code
I'm wanting to make a program that translates binary code into numbers/letters and numbers/letters into binary code. I know the general system of binary code, but I dont know how to translate anything with VB.net. Is there a general command I need to use or can someone link me to a good tutorial about translating?
i was wondering where i can find all the key codes for KeyChar function. eg, the Enter key is 'Chr13' i did a search of DIC and Google, but can't figure out what to look for exactly.
Yeah, I want to make the program find a certain word, such as 10.5, in a textbox. It will have multiple lines. textbox5 is the textbox and a word, like 10.5 or longer such as 10.10.10.10.10.10. an IP.
I want to create a custom form (in visual basic .NET) that will stop other process responsiveness until the form is acknowledged. It would be a nice bonus if I can add a beep when trying to access the main program UI while this form is displayed as well (like how a messagebox does).
I'm redoing a program I made up a while back and need some help changing a loop. The original program had all the text boxes on same form, the redesigned program still has them all on the same form but I have them spread across multiple tabs and the background of the form.
The code below loops through each possible text box and if it exists sets the value in an array. This only works for text boxes not on tabs. I found I could change the Me.Controls to TabPage1.Controls and that would get the text boxes on tabpage1. I would like to have a single loop that can find them on any tab and off the tabs, so I don't need three separate loops.
For num = 1 To 61 For Each controlctl In Me.Controls If controlctl.Name = "TextBox" & CStr(num) Then
I am making a application that you enter 3 number one for length, width, and height of a rectangle. It needs to display a picture showing all three.i am using windows form application to do this wil three text boxes to enter the numbers.
I have just about completed a .NET project to write a program to randomly select numbers for a Bingo caller. Over the last month or so Ive learned a lot about .NET but heres something that I consider to be odd and maybe one of you guys can offer an opinion.
One of the features of calling Bingo in a small local club is that callers often use little sayings to accompany certain numbers, I expect youve all heard of (say) All the sixes, clickety click for 66 or 5 and 9 the Brighton line for 59 etc. My little program gives an option to incorporate these with a prompt for the caller that can be edited outside of the program. One of these conventional sayings is used when a number is reversed 12 followed by 21 or 45 followed by 54 for example, when the caller might call (say) 1 and 2, one dozen, number 12 And the other way round 2 and 1, twenty one.
So, I programmed in a bit of code to detect this and to over-ride whatever might otherwise have been the quote with And the other way round and set about testing it. Ive been through literally dozens of full 90 calls watching for the occurrence of a reversed number, spent a few hours doing it, and not once has it occurred which is to say the least, unusual.
So, Im wondering about the Rand Function, could it be that it isnt possible for a reversed number to be selected? Just so you know, I randomly pre-select the order of all 90 numbers, I fill each of the 90 elements of an array with a random number first checking that the number selected hasnt already been stored, if it has, I just get the next random number (and check that too of course), but I cant see how that could prevent reversed numbers being selected, especially in light of the fact that frequently it's not the 'next' number that's used.
I made a form with a two text boxes for user input.A (lower bound) and an (upper bound), and then a text box to display all prime numbers in that range.I can't figure out what I am doing wrong, my error checking works properly but my math onlyreturns a true or false.
After a stage i have found that there are lots of codes redundancy and reusement on my disk drive. And i have also noticed that for special operation i am using the similar algorithms again and again. So i thought that if there were a program that can find the functions from specific file types producing the output of the function list etc?
i published my program (all the files in the bin folder). My computer crashed. Is there ANY way i can retrieve all the codes and everything out my program to VB? This is very important. This took pages and pages of codes to make, i know how to do everything its just going to take a long time to do so.
