This works fine except for one thing! after I click OK to the msgbox prompt, the record highlights normally and I click on the next record, and I get an Argument out of range exception error message, where I expected to just get another message with the next record number.

I have all the text base rowfilters working, but I can not make the date filter work unless I hard code the datetime into the code. The database is MS Access and I am using VB2008 to show the data. I would like to be able to use a DateTimePicker to set the filter date (without the time part) Also I would need to remove the time section of the datEnterDate. I cannot change the structure of the database fields. Also the datEnterDate is MM/dd/yyyy, because I'm in England I would like to use the format of dd/MM/yyyy if possible

Sep 12, 2011I have a vb6 app that creates an Excel 2003 doc that I need to export to pdf. I have the following code to export,
excelWorkBook.Worksheets.PrintOut Copies:=1, ActivePrinter:="Adobe PDF",' printtofile:=True, prtofilename:=strOutputName
but nothing prints. The app exports to pdf works in test, but not when I move it to production. I have to remote into the machine that runs the app, so my printers from my local pc are "attched" to the remote session, can this have something to do with no output. The remote machine does not have the Adobe print drivers installed.
What can I do to get the export to work?

DataGridView Get Index Of Selected Column?
May 15, 2010I have a DataGridView containing a large number of columns. I want the users to be able to select multiple columns and then select a menu item to hide the selected columns. For example a user might selected columns 5 through 10 and I want the program to hide those columns. I know how to hide columns, one at a time. I can get the count of selected columns but I have not figured out how to get the index to the left-most selected column. Trial and error is such a slow process.
Considering the huge number of options offered by the DataGridView tool, it would be nice if this forum had a special category for the DataGridView (common to VB and C#).
Finally I got the desired results but it took a lot of coding, looping through the selected cells to find the one with the lowest column index, then a second loop to count previously-hidden columns, then a third loop for hiding the selected columns, stepping past previously-hidden columns and declining to hide frozen columns.
