View 3 Repliesi've got a free mysql database online hosted by 000webhost, i'm just wondering if i could connect to the mysql database, and if so what would the connectionstring be like? when i connect using php its something like this: new mysqli("mysql13.000webhost.com", "user", "password", "database1"), how do i translate this into a vb connection string, i can't decide what to put as the data source [code]if there's no way to connect, is there anyway for me to create an application that can store and access database online?
View 7 RepliesSo I have a dropdown setup on the page called ddlVehicleType that is populated from a store. This method gets called when another dropdown is changed, and it's supposed to remove all items from the aforementioned store, re-add them as needed, and then populate the dropdown with the new values.
It's doing everything it's supposed to EXCEPT clearing the store before it re-adds the values, so the result is, when I switch, I'm getting what it used to be PLUS the new values that should be in there by themselves.[code]...
I am coding a program that will allow the user to input 5 payrolls for Store 1, Store 2, and Store 3. The total of the 5 payrolls are then added together and shown in the respective Store's labels. A total label is also there to add up all the totals into one number. The numbers in the label must be in currency form. My problem is the numbers don't add correctly when I hit calculate. The first two numbers add together, but then after that the number just seems to subtract a random amount.

I have working on 1 program that is for Mu Online game. Its Mu Launcher program,but i'm having trouble with it. I can't make right "Server Status" to show Online or Offline I can't make autoupdater people to have using this for theyr server.
I make one file launcher.txt to get info the program but i need a lil help to finish thise program. The program is not for 1 server only its freewere . So here is the problem with the Server Status and AutoUpdater to get info from what server..
i know that integer is a variable to store whole numbers and that a string is a varialbe used to store any text, but what variable type would you use to store a number that has decimals?

Everything seems to be working perfectly, but i bumped into a situation were i dont know how to handle.If the target website has some ajax information that needs to be loaded after the ready state, i get a screenshoot of the page with no data, because the data was not loaded yet.

Is there a method to hide your application from screenshots without the use of ".hide" or minimize or opacity basically not touching the application at all but not including it in the screenshot? For instance in GDI when you g.CopyfromScreen the mouse is not included and you would have to go through a way drawing the mouse onto the graphic can something like this be achieved with application?

I'd like some direction in taking a screenshot of just a specific area. The area I need is where the rectangle encapsulates. If 've played around with it for a while tyring to figure out how to just take a screenshot of the rectangular area, but can't seem to figure it out.
I wrote some code for a program I am making to take a screenshot when the program is minimized. Thing is something is wrong with the code and I am not sure what it is. Whenever I take a screenshot the program is taking the picture with the application up and not minimized.
So what I need it to do is minimize the application then take the screenshot and then reopen the program after its taken the screenshot. for the noob question but I am brand new to the VB and only been coding it in for less then a day.
