Pass Parameter From .NET Windows Form To Cyrstal Report Viewer?

FormA contain a textbox for user to enter their name and a button. When the user click the button, it will show the FormB which contain the CrystalReportViewer. I would like to to display the name which the user enter in the textbox on FormA on the CyrstalReportViewer.
The question is, how do I pass the textbox value to the Crystal Report Viewer The secondary question is how I am going to display the value on the Crystal Report Viewer.For you information, I am using VB.net.

When i pass the parameter and run the report it works fine as i close the form it closes the form is there any way so that i should be able to close the crystal report viewer and pass the parameter again and should be able to view report again.

I want to pass parameter to a crystal report viewer. I added .rpt file to the report viewer, but I can't get the parameter field to bound the variable.
How can I pass parameter to that viewer?
I added crystal report file to the viewer, but in the report file contains 4 parameters. I tried to use CrystalReportViewer1 to get parameter function, but i can't find parameter function.
I also tried to find parameter field from properties there. How can i do it with VB.NET? I want to pass parameter from main page form to report viewer form.

There are just 2 text boxes in the report, One is Employee Name & another one is address.

I am preparing a crystal report for library system...two tables..

this is my code...this work fine when i have only one table in my dataset but when i have 2 or more table in my dataset then my crystal report cpe blank.no field is displayed....all d report dislay all the field when i have only one table in my dataaset.i dont know i m missing a big ort small point here but this thing is killing me...my almost proj is done but i am stuck on this thing..

I'm trying to serialize a data structure and pass it to another report via parameter, and this line of code:
Dim s As New System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer(GetType(System.Collections.HashTable))
Produces this error:
An error occurred during local report processing. The definition of the report '/myReport' is invalid. There is an error on line 22 of custom code: [BC30002] Type 'System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer' is not defined.
How can I get around this? I have been able to use fully defined .NET classes in other lines of code, including the following:

I have written a code to print the crystal report instead of using print button in the crystal report viewer control.(I have done this in order to keep record of printed pages.) So, now there is a print button in my form, which upon clicked will show the printer select dialog box to print the crystal report pages. Now I need to track the event when user presses the Cancel button shown in the print dialog box?

Can I pass a form as a parameter in a sub like public Sub GetData(Byval Frm as form) and access its controls?I have few forms (you can say: FrmAccounting, FrmEngineering, FrmIT) with almost the same controls in each of them (txtEmployeeID, txtEmployeeName, optMale, optFemale etc), where no two forms are open at same time, and each of those forms have a Button which opens a new Form (you can say FrmCollectData) now I want to fetch data in FrmCollectData depending on which form it was opened from.. like if user was on FrmEngineering and it clicks button to open FrmCollectData.. form collectData fetches data from FrmEngineering Controls and if user was on FrmAccounting and it opens FrmCollectData, form Collectdata fetches data from FrmAccounting..
earlier, in VB6.. In one of the Sub written in frmCollectData I checked which form is opened by setting flags in each of forms (frmEngineering, frmAccounting etc) and then I passed the same form in a sub which writes data in frmCollectData controls.. but am not able to do the same in VB.NET.

When the user clicks on a control on my form I want to open or show another form and display some properties of the control that was clicked. I want to use the same form to display the properties of several controls, based on which one was clicked. I am not sure how to approach this, can someone point me in the right direction?

i have tride to generate report by using in built functions of report viewer. but it disply only the default color in to the legend. in my report i am showing chart report by using student marks and their name. the chrt bar color get changed as per the students marks means if student is pass then the the report bar display with green if failed then with red color i want to show the legend with student pass and fail status but on my x axis i have given a only a marks column value and it s showing only marks lable in legend but i want to show it with their status means pass with green color and fail with red color if anybody have the answer of this query plz reply immediatly

how to pass a parameter to a predefined parameter in a dataset. I've found everywhere a solution if you build the sqldata adapter and the dataset in the code. Then you can pass the parameter like: da.SelectCommand.Parameters.Add("@param1", SqlDbType.Char).Value = param1_variable (as example)
But if you have builded a dataset (with table adapters), and then in the form app you want just to pass the param1 to a DataGridView1 (as example) which is using the table adapter, I did not find how to do this.
