I have build custome windows in my application with cust contorl box on the top right corner. Minimimize, maximaize and close button are made by me.
I want to make another button beside that one which will control displaing of windows in multiple monitors environment. So, cllick on that button will list monitors and I send that window to second monitor.
I am using the following code to run defrag and to analyze if the C: drive requires defragmentation:

This process runs through analyzing, runs it in normal mode & prints the progress to the command window.
My problem is that as soon as the process is complete the command window closes. I need it to stay open so that I can read the results.

I am using a CheckedListBox that is populated with Filenames (full path, i.e. C:TestTest.jpg)When I have the files that I want in the CheckedListBox I wish to click a Start Button which will process the list one at a time using an exe program that runs on the Command Line. There are arguments that need to pass to the command line as well as the file location in order for the program to process.I currently have it working but the issue is the loop finishes quickly and it is left up to the CMD.exe to finish the process. What I would like is for the LOOP to wait until each file completes processing before passing the command for the next file in the CheckedListBox.There some reasons I wish for it to work this way.
1) I would like to have a button that can Pause/Restart the Loop.
2) I would like to have a button that can Stop the Loop so the whole process can end.
3) I would like to have the Loop remove each file one by one from the CheckedListBox after it has been processed.
4) I would like to display a Message once all the files have been processed.
5) And if it were possible I would like to report the status either by text or a progress bar showing where it is at in the process.
6) And the ability to add some error handling if possible.
Since the Loop finishes so quickly as it just passes the command to the command line using the & as a seperator it is the command line that is handling the rest of the process. Because of this there is not control over it in the GUI.The code I am using allows the Command Line text to display in the Form so it won't open up a seperate window to run CMD.exe. This is the desired affect as I would like everything to appear to run from within the Form itself.

How to center a cursor at the top of a line in freehand painting. I made a freehand painting program in Visual Basic 2010, I used m_Graphics.FillEllipse(brush1, e.X, e.Y, 40, 40) for painting a broad line. It works.. But.. the cusor is not centered on the front of the broad line. He is at the Left Top of the rectangle that describes the FillEllipse. How can I make the cursor to stay in the middle of the front , while moving around, so that I can more precise paint with him ?

View 2 RepliesI am using MS chart control .net 4 framework in Visual studio 2010 using Windows forms. I am having an issue with the scale of the primary x axis on a user input from a text box on a button click. I am also using both the primary and secondary y axes which work on a user input.
I have checked the settings for each axis and they all have the same settings. I don't see why both y axes work on the user input and the x does not.

When I tried to resize the form, the textboxes and buttons stayed on the top left. I would like to know if there is a way to make them stay in the center whenever the form is resized or maximized? I have tried using anchor but the buttons and textboxes ended up getting stretched.

I have been making a text based noughts and crosses game and trying to convert an alpha grid reference into a number to run the logic sequence that decides whether the an input is valid. why the doc.Save("filename.xlm") might not be working? Trying to do a simple routine - just loading an existing xml file and saving as another name onto local C: drive. Seems to run ok ie no errors, but the file doesn't save. 'Save' part of the doc.Save command is coming up as a different type colour in dreamweaver.
Also, secondary problem, getting error if use a long directory name in the doc.Save destination filename - comes up with 'URI formats are not supported'
