I have a picturebox that the user can draw on and I need the program to detect if a specific point has been drawn on. For example, I need the program to detect whether the user drew at location (8,8) and give a basic True/False answer.

The two main ways that gets passed if via a <dc:creator> tag and an <author> tag below an item tag./rss/channel/item/?I'm new to this. I'd like to see if either of those tags are there, and if them and if not supplant it with something else.Right now in my code if I call /rss/channel/item/author and it's not there I get an error that dumps me. The last line of the file is a ------- and the final stock is on the second to last line. HOw do I add a stock before the ----- and after the final stock??? I can't use append because that simply adds to the end and after the ---.

In VB.Net, is there a way of auto-detecting the culture of a string representation of a number? I'll explain the situation:Our asp.net web site receives xml data feeds for boat data. Most of the time, the number format for the prices use either a simple non-formatted integer e.g. "999000". That's easy for us to process.Occaisionally, there are commas for thousands separators and periods for the decimal point. Also, that's fine as our data import understands this. Example "999,000.00".We're starting to get some data from France where some of the prices have been entered with the periods and thousands separators the other way around as that's the way it's done in many European countries. E.g. "999.000,00". This is where our system would interpret that as nine hundred and ninety nine pounds instead of the nine hundred and ninety nine thousand pounds that was intended.

When the user selects a row (multi select is not enabled), I want them to be able to click an "insert" button to insert a row into the table below the selected row.I can insert a row at a specific location with the code below, and it will insert a new row at the location specified. My problem, is that I need to get the currently selected row and add 1 to it. However, the insert method below accepts an integer, and I cannot figure out how to get the currently selected row as an integer. I can only get it as a Row collection, which does not help. View 3 Repliesso in a program I'm working on in VB.NET I'm trying to make it so I can take in a list of strings (each on a different line). For each line I want to take in the line, and break it up into three parts. The first part goes from the beginning of the string to the first colon in the string, the second part goes from the first colon to the at symbol, and the last part goes from the at symbol to the end of the string.
For example, I'd take in a line of the series of lines: hello:world@yay
I'd want to break it into three separate strings of "hello", "world", and "yay".
How would I do such a thing in VB.NET?

Currently, it simply uses a tri-option setting to decide how it opens - like this

Each variable is appropriately named for its job as you can see.
However, i want to change this to react to correct and incorrect shutdowns - unexpected and user instigated ones for example. I.E: if the settings variable for the detection contained 0x000000, it could indicate a clean exit and continue as normal with a new session, but 0x000001 would indicate an unclean shutdown and present the user with an option of reopening the last session or continueing as normal, like in IE 7/8

I have the first part done, ... I can delete all the text before spacific text, ... now I need to delete all text after a spacific point in a string of text.
I'm making a better, and more simpler BandWidth Monitor, and I'm extracting the Bytes Recieved, ... but just the value, and leaving out all the rest of the text.

I was playing with VB.Net yesterday using Visual Studio Express (VSE). I am trying to get a feel for the language. One thing that struck me was the fact that VB's entry point, Sub Main(), is written inside a Module, as opposed to inside a Class like in C#. At least that's how it appears in the books I'm reading. That got me thinking. Is it possible to change the entry point location from a Module to a Class, or for that matter to have Sub Main() completely outside these two constructs?
I search the internet and found out that VSE indeed allows one to changed the entry point through the project properties. So I set the entry point to Sub Main() and tried compiling the "Hello World!" project locating Sub Main() inside a Class construct. Well, that didn't work. I tried changing the name of the class to match the project name, but that didn't help. I didn't bother try putting Sub Main() completely outside a module or class figuring that would be impossible. However, while looking through various post in this forum, I got the feeling I gave up to soon. So here are my questions:
1. Can the entry point be within a Class/Form construct or completely outside any construct for that matter?
2. Can the entry point be some other Sub (e.g., Sub MyMain)
If the answer is yes to anyone of these questions, where do I set the option to make this work?
Way to find out the numbers after the decimal point of the double?All i need to do is to find out if the number ends in 0 like 1.0 or 10.0 or 323.0 ?
