Right Mouse Click Should Not Display A Menu Of Any Sort And Be Able To Select Items
Jul 20, 2009
I am writing an application using Visual Basic Express 2008 and I need the right and the left mouse click to both act like the left mouse click. That is the right mouse click should not display a menu of any sort and be able to select items just as the left mouse click.
I'd like to disable the 'Refresh' option in the right-click menu for internet explorer. Our application uses Javascript, ASP.Net and VB, but I'm sure it'll need to be done through Javascript.

I have created a form with a menu-strip containing sub-menus. The sub-menus will open on clicking the menu items but I am willing to display the sub menus on moving the cursor on menu items(mouse-hover). What will be the code for this? Is there any property in menu-strip to display like that?
I have a Vb.Net MDI which has it's Menu's on it. I have Child Window and it has it's own menu. I opens the child window inside the MDI using setparent API function. When I click on Child window's menu to open the sub menu items, it does not open on mouse click . It works if I use Alt+Hot Key. But I want to open the Child window menus on Mouse click like it opens the MDI menus.
I have a context menu strip on my application but I would like to associate it when a user right clicks on a list box in my application. The context menu appears on my mouse right click event in my listbox, but it appears at the top of my application instead of where I right clicked. How do I associate the list box control with the contextmenu.
NOTE: Maybe there is another control besides a contextmenu that I want to use here.
Windows form, it has a section with Tabs, in those tabbed areas there are menu strips. Also on the form there are buttons, and 1 menu strip not on a tab control.
The following work with one click; buttons.
The menustrip take 2 clicks. However after the form has been clicked for the first time, they only need one click to operate. Take the focus away from the form, set to always be on top and repeat above.
what is the correct control for displaying mouse event -> right click? i tried the ContextMenuStrip control but it seems i can't change its location, can i?
I have a menu strip in a form. What I want to do is when I hover my mouse over the menu it should drop down and show the menu without clicking. I am trying to call the click event of menustrip in mouse hover event of menu, but to no avail.
Basically what Ive been searching for is an example of adding/removing items from the right click menu, right click menu being the global explorer right click menu if that makes sence =) the closest thing I could find was [url]...
I am trying to build a nice-looking menu that allows users to select certain items. When they hover over the items, a nice highlight color fades in and then out when they leave the item. Anyways, it looks very nice, but I don't want to have to use a "page" style. (e.g., page 1 contains 6 items, click "Next" to go to the next page of 6 itesm) I'd like to allow the user to scroll through the items. I'll develop my own GUI for the scrollbar, however I have absolutely no idea where to start on actually fitting all of the items into like a 400x200 box, and allowing the user to scroll up and down through the items. The items are actual controls (e.g. each item contains a picturebox, a couple of labels, a couple of buttons collectively).
I have a ContextMenuStrip click event. I was hoping to use this whenever a user clicked onto the ContextMenuStrip or one of its subitems. I have noticed that it does not fire when the user clicks on the sub items. Is there another click event that includes both the main menu And its sub items. Note that I also have added individual events to the individual menu items and sub items to capture specific code for these items. As such, I already know that I can use these events and call my desired code snippet in each of these if I have to. However I was wondering if there was another general click event that captures all the items (main + sub).
Private Sub ContextMenuStrip1_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles ContextMenuStrip1.Click 'Some code here End Sub
I downloaded a nice menu control from this webpage

What I want to do is write a number of subs, so that each time a menu item is clicked a sub is called. I'm a little confused there dosn't seem to be a click event for individual menu item ( vistamenuitem ) . I know that there is a an event that is called for the overall menu, but this doesn't help because I want to execute a different subs depending on which menu item is clicked.
I am wanting to display a popup menu when a use clicks the right mouse button on my ListView.I have created a ContextMenuStrip with the items I would like.

I'm making a game and I want to select a picturebox while the program is running. Then I want to make it move with I think the mouse click event. How do I go about doing this?
As I'm sure many of you know, when you double click in a textbox, it selects part of the text, how could I make it where when you triple click on a textbox it selects all the text like a web browser address bar?
I have a WPF project in Microsoft Expression Blend.I made a context menu for the window, but I don't know how to assign a click event for each of the items. If you want- here's the XAML code for the context menu- it works ok:
I've got a right-click menu that comes up in a treeview - with an option to ADD to that parent node or delete a child node.
Currently I'm using the SELECTEDNODE - but what I really want to do is change the "selected node" when the right-click occurs. But I'm having a hard time seeing how to do that...
How do you use this event properly??
Private Sub CapabilitiesTreeView_MouseClick(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles CapabilitiesTreeView.MouseClick Me.CapabilitiesTreeView.SelectedNode = End Sub
I have a flowlayoutpanel populated with custom thumbnail controls. I have code set to display a context menu on the thumbnail controls and the panel. Once a page is displayed, I have to right click on a control twice before the menu will be displayed. I have debugged and followed code execution all the way down the line. There seems to be no difference in code execution on the first click which does not display a context menu, and the second click which does. After a context menu is displayed, everything is normal. All thumbnails will display context menus as they should. But...not the panel....I have to do the same to the panel, then it is fine.
How can you add a click event to dynamically created menu item?I thought I could do something like
Loop through all the items in the Menu1.DropDownItems then create a mousedown even on the item and execute an action based off that.I'm new to VB and was wondering what logic to use. Will that even work? How will the events be saved through the life of the application?
I have a ListView in which the items in the first column are selectable with a mouse click. How to I make these items non-selectable?FWIW, I've dug into the properties for the ListView but not been able to find which parameter is the right one to change.
I have a menu strip. In the menu strip I have something for some saved urls in the database, I called it Bookmarks. So I'm trying to fetch the items from the database and have it load in to the menu items.. but it keeps adding items and I only want them added once. [Code]

I have a button called 'populate'. I need it to randomly select items in combobox1 when I click it. Here is what I have tried doing but it doesn't give me the desired results.
Dim sacostofsyscheckout As Integer Randomize() sacostofsyscheckout = CInt(CInt((1500000 * Rnd()) + 3000000))
I am using Vb.NET to build a windows application. In menu-strips by default the submenus will appear on clicking on the menu items. I am willing to display the submenu items by hovering the cursor on menu items. What is the procedure to do that?
I have a class and I am trying to randomly select 3 items to display on a page (each item should be unique so that there is no repeating).I have some code that works(ish). The problem is that when I track the random numbers it takes about at least 50 attempts for the application to select a different random number than the one that was chosen the first time (defying the laws of probability).[code]
