I am creating a dll to use with all my projects and have run into a problem. functions work fine and i have no problems using the dll with a project but i am trying to add xml documentation to the functions in the dll so that i have information when i call it, i can see the summary if i call the function from within the dll project but not if i call it from a seperate project.

I am trying to return a javascript function using response.write in an aspx page. The problem is that the function i am returning has lots of quotes and they are conflicting with the repsonse.write syntax. Here is a sample code:

This is giving me a problem as the quotes inside are cutting off the response early. Is there a better way to do this?

I want to make an numerical integration method with takes in an analytic function and integrate it over a specific interval. For the numerical integration procedure I want to use some procedures in nr.com. The problem is that these are programmed in C++ and they uses functors to pass a function to the integration method. How can I do this in VB 2010?
I want to initialize the function (i.e. set a=1,b=0 for function y(x)=a*x+b) and then pass the function to the integration method. Then when the integration method call the function it only calls the function with one parameter (i.e. x since a,b is already set)
What is the best way to do this in VB2010?I want to make a general integration method where I can pass any single valued function and integration limits.
I have just started using VB, and from what I have found so far it seems like the tools you have is
- to us a delegate for the function
- to use a lambda expression for the function
- send a pointer/adressOf
- to create a function class/structure and submit this to the function
As for now I am most inclined to create a function-class. But I am not really sure how.F.ex. I want to add all the records from table1 to table2. I want to do this 10 times if I execute the following statement: INSERT into Table2 SELECT * FROM Table1 ; Everything works perfectly. The two records are added to table2 But if I execute the stament a second time get the following message: Duplicate entry '1' for key 1 I now i must do something with "duplicate key update" in the Insert statement.

I'm designing a web page with two dropdownlists, one for the Make of a car, the other for the Model, both bound to a database with separate SQLDataSources, and using a distinct statement. I add "All" at the top of both by setting appendDataBoundItems = true and adding items named all. Then when I fill the Make with a querystring all the model items get added twice (but only the databound items).

how to upload excel file with duplicate name file but its don't do overwrite the previous name file. So if i upload the file with same name it will saving like windows do.ex. firstly i upload excel file = "fileExcel". then i upload again with same name ="fileExcel".
