I am adding characters to a RichTextBox one character at a time and setting the format of that character after it is added. The following code is a distillation of the actual code but reliably repeats the problem I am having. The code should place a Blue "S", a Red "S" and a Green "S" in to the RichTextBox when i = 3.
I have a DGV which shows data of my transaction_table. There r 4 columns ID, NAME, DUE_DATE and STATUS. Let ID is 1, NAME is alizee, DUE_DATE is 25.02.2009 and status is notpaid(by deafault). Now , I want to set row color according to following condition...if

I have a couple of TextBoxes on a Form and also a RichTextBox control which is associated with a ContextMenu1. Now, while my MouseCursor still blinks friendly in one of my TextBox controls, I right-click the RichTextBox and get surely my ContextMenu1. However, this ContextMenu won't do me any good unless I first left-click my RichTextBox in order to set my cursor in there and then right-click again to open the ContextMenu. I've tried to work with RichTextBox.Focus() and also with something like ... If e.Button = Windows.Forms.MouseButtons.Right Then ... But nothing seems to do the trick.
I have an application that contains a RTB where I allow the user (through a button) the ability to bold selected text. the code to bold is this:
Private Sub btnBold_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnBold.Click rtbComments.SelectionFont = New Font(rtbComments.SelectionFont.FontFamily, rtbComments.Font.Size, rtbComments.SelectionFont.Style Xor FontStyle.Bold) End Sub
Public Sub textcolorchanged() Dim searchword As String = RichTextBox2.Text.ToString.Trim
[Code]...
I searched word of datagridview1 rows and highlighted search word in rich text-box. text(it is having total text) I called this method in datagridview1 mouse click and key-up and key down event

I am using vb.net and I have an asp.net application where I use ExcelPackage. I wanted to know how to set the background color of a particular cell or a row of cells.
My Code: For Each dr In dt.Rows() If (cnt = 0) Then tx_control2.Text = dr("Name").ToString.Trim Else tx_control2.Text = tx_control2.Text + Environment.NewLine + dr("Name").ToString.Trim End If cnt = cnt + 1 Next ' for row
Using above code to add all names from datatable to Textbox using Environment.NewLine. This is adding all names in Textbox. Now I want different color for alternate names. I used : tx_control2.ForeColor = Color.Maroon But above solution change the color of all names.
I have been using custom shapes for some time now but the pixels always have to be 100% solid or it mixes with the color I have set as transparent and its starting to get a bit annoying. Is there any way possible that I could take a png image with transparent pixels and use that as my custom shape without the transparent pixels becoming that color I chose? This is what I have: I want to put my image as the background without the purple being where the transparent pixels are. Me.Backcolor = Color.Purple Me.Transparencykey = Color.Purple
I want to set Color to specific cell in DataGridView as in this code , but didn't accept BackColor property. Form1.DataGridView1.CurrentRow.Cells(3)......BackColor
MVC3 VB.NET application using Itextsharp. I have a section of code that generates a pdf file everything looks great but I would like to alternate the line colors in that pdf file between 2 color so that the values are easy to follow for the person looking at it. Is there a way to set the background color of a whole line based on font size to a set color? A function I would be using this in is below:
[Code]...
I thought about just setting the background color of the line by using the y_line1 and using a modulus to determine if the color should be grey or white. But I have found no code samples anywhere about how to set a whole line background color..
I need to set the color of the font every time I add text to the RichTextBox
I'm using. RtbResults.AppendText(DisplayPacket)
To add a new line of text, but each line needs to be a set color.I found this on the net but it doesn't seem to work in my VS11b RtbResults.AppendText(DisplayPacket, forecolor, backcolor, font)
Are these the correct overloads? can I do this another way if this doesn't work?I don't want to have to insert the text then go back and select and change its color.
Trying to change the color of more than one of the same text within a RichTextBox. [Code] The above code searches for, and changes the color of all "Boat"s found in the RichTextBox. There are a few problems, such as: If you were to go back to edit the RichTextBox and place your cursor in front of the, now blue word, "Boat" and type then all of your text would be blue. Also, the text you wish to change the color of in the RichTextBox MUST be Exactly the same as: "Search1", aka "Boat", capital letters and all.
I would like to be able to change colors of certain items in a richtextbox when they are typed for example the word "the" in this small example. The words would change to the color for the word.
how change font color for some word in Richtextbox example : when write "The lost" in Rich font color change to blue ...and other word don't change ...other example : same "DIM","AS" and "integer" in VB.NET ,,how i can do it?how to save the word from richtextbox to text file ?
Is it possible to determine the color of a particular text (at some position) in a Richtextbox without selecting the text and using the SelectioColor property?
If someone types in something like "red", I'd like the word's font color to become red. I tried something like this: Dim red As String = "red" Dim fnt As Font = New Font("Microsoft Sans Serif", 8.25) If RichTextBox1.Find(red) > 0 Then For Each _str In RichTextBox1.Text Dim my1stPosition As Integer = RichTextBox1.Find(red) RichTextBox1.SelectionStart = my1stPosition But I dislike the highlighting-type approach.
I'm trying to find a few words and i want them to be for example in red.this is for a Html Editor. so i need it to list all words. for example i would need it to highlight "div", and "table", and lots of other words. all of them need to be red. or if it could highlight all words that are in "< >" would be amazing. iv been searching google and the internet for like 4 days. there is code out there but it will only highlight one word.
what i want to do is have a list of string such as
Dim ColorRed as list(Of String) If Yes No Command Some Text
and if a richtextbox.text.contains(ColorRed) ||| a string from ColorRed then it will color just that some string the color red NOT THE WHOLE TEXTBOX just that word
so basicly i wanta make a texteditor like the one in vb.net is that possible? so lets say underlined = red If this code is commanding the some of the number blah the text also yes
I searched this topic and set RichTextBox1.SelectionColor = Color.Red after click button1, and set RichTextBox1.SelectionColor = Color.DarkBlue for button 2 click event. But after I clicked either button, the text color was always black as forecolor set.
I have a button which reads a comma separated value file and loads it into a richtextbox. Each line contains comma separated chars.
Once the file is loaded in the richtextbox, i want to be able to select specific values from each line and store them into an array.
For example: Line1: a,b,c,d,e
I want to be able to place only the values "b" and "c" into an array.
I was thinking something like creating a menu for the richtextbox which will be triggered on right click, then highlight the values I want, press right click and select 'place these values in an array'.
it doesn't have to be the way i proposed it, but it definitely must use a richtextbox.
