These is the content of my txt file which is saved in D drive in my pc abc,1,2,3..I tried the flowing but it didn't work:[code]I am getting error on this line.. data = line.Split(","c)...it says this line isn't in use anymore or something and that I rather use LineInput but thats asks for filenumber and i don't know what that is. I am sorry but I am a complete beginner. what else can I try? [code]ok that error is gone now but now if I want to add these values to a list box..how can i do that?
View 1 RepliesI've been trying make a mdi notepad that can start up new instances of a "note" which is unique from the other notes as in you can save/change/cut/ copy/ paste in the individual notes without changing the properties of the other notes..something like a tabbed notepad but instead of tab control i have a mdi container. but i can't make it work. [code] problem with it is that whatever you cut/copy/paste in one mdi container richtextbox, it automatically cuts/copies/pastes in the other richtextbox controls in the other containers..

(It is not Join or split - I know about this, .net has new built in function to create CSV format)

As part of my current project for making student's lives easier by making an All-In-One application with many common programs carbon-copied inside it, I have a slight problem with sticky notes.
I am trying to recreate Sticky Notes as much as possible from the Windows 7 Sticky Notes Application. My problem is, I put a richtextbox on the sticky notes panel and wanted to either add a background image, or a transparent backcolor (my Panel that the textbox is in has the background image of the themed sticky notes). So my question is, is it possible to somehow dynamically make a property to allow the backcolor of a richtextbox to be transparent? or allow a background image?If you find an answer helpful, click the Helpful button. I'm trying to write two regex's - you'll need to tell me if they're even possible. Both are based on VB.net syntax.
Regex 1:
The string I'm testing against -
Size on disk: 25,754,900,936 bytes
It has a handful of leading spaces, but the text is ALWAYS the same. I'm trying to extract out just the number (25,754,900,936).
I've tried a handful of regex's, but I can't get everything on one line. The commas are messing me up and returning multiple matches (For example, d+W+ gives me four matches, one for each set of numbers separated by commas.)
The best I've done is [0-9/,]* but that gives me 25 empty matches and one match (On match 19) of the number. I need this to match on match 1.

The split function works for other characters I see in the string. I suspect the characters may be a non breaking space character but I've been unable to split on them. My session looks something like this 123-456-789- and I split it like this

And i've got a some code like this

For x = 0 to MyString - 1
Response.write("Ref: " & MyString(x) & "<br>")
Next
This writes the code like this
Ref: 123
Ref: 456
Ref: 789
Ref:
So it's adding an extra Ref where it shouldn't be because there is no data after the last -
Is there a way to stop this adding in the extra one?
