When Select Image Url In The Properties URL The Image Folder Is Not Found?
Sep 24, 2009
I am trying to select some images that I have in a folder called images in my project however when I select image url in the properties URL the image folder is not found I am only getting App Data and my project with nothing in the folders, I have copied the images to those folders and still nothing.Also I am used to being able to select images for buttons but I am assuming you can not do this in the same way in ASP?

I have a Picturebox and a two Buttons on my Form. On click of one of the buttons I want to change the image in the picture box at runtime.
This works fine when I give the location of the image (the full path ) on my computer - but then of course it will not work if I use the solution on a different computer .
So I have made a folder named "Pics" inside my application and added two images into it.
How do I get to this local folder in the following code?
Picturebox1.image = system.drawing.image.fromfile (??? )
instead of the usual,
Picturebox1.image = system.drawing.image.fromfile ("C:UsersMyName My PicturesMyPicture.jpg" )

I have a picture box which reads in an image from a folder to display, instead of having the usual boring image I thought it may be nice to have a number of images in the folder and let my vb.net program randomly pick one out to use.

My program requires that a picturebox change its image during run time. I've used:
PictureBox1.ImageLocation = [file location]
PictureBox1.Image = Image.FileFrom([file location])
Both work fine, usually.

I am currently making a server monitoring application that pings the server to check its uplink, so far it creates all the picture boxes and labels for each server, and then pings the server, although I have a picture that I want to change dependant on the result.
Below is the code I am currently using, the problem occurs with the objectname variable which allows dynamic coding, where i get a error, saying that "Public member 'image' on type 'String' not found".
Private Sub Ping()
Dim i As Integer
Dim objectName As System.Object
For i = 1 To count - 1

I am trying to implement image caching for a web application and I found some code on the Internet that implements an HttpHandler that does this. The code was in C# and since my web app is written in VB, I decided to convert the code to VB. I managed to convert everything except the following code (in bold):
public class FileExtensionCollection : ConfigurationElementCollection
{
public override ConfigurationElementCollectionType CollectionType
{
[CODE]...
From what I can understand, the two properties above provide a way to access the FileExtension collection either using an integer or a string index. My problem is that I do not know how to convert this in VB.

The object is to load an image into a picturebox, then save a new copy of the image in a different location, but with the height and width of the image box not the original file's height and width but I can't figure it out. I've got the loading and saving working no problem but getting it to adopt the new size is stumping me, it just keeps saving with the original file's size properties

Code:
Private Sub cmdNext_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles cmdNext.Click
Dim strURL As String

Am I doing this correctly so far? I need to "collect" the address/URL of the picture that is currently displayed in the picturebox (pbxFile), then load the next picture in the folder into the picturebox.

I've got code to allow the user to import an image to the document they have opened, however right now, the image displays at it's default size, and well, if it's a large image, the document stretches and looks like crap. I want the user to be able to select the image after they insert it, and have the handles show up on the corners so they can resize it, and would also like to have it allow them to move it around the document if possible.
