Pictures In Embedded HTML Body Shown As Attachment In Sending Mails Through Outlook
Feb 10, 2010I am using VB.net to send my mails through outlook. Where i am giving the resource path for the pictures inserted in to it.
But Email shows the inline pictures as attachments. what could be the reason?
The important thing is that this is not happening all the time. if we send 5 to 10 times we get the expected result for 2 or 3 times.
i explored some of the forums , got answers like 'changing the settings, security settings of the office outlook. that too is not succeeded.

Webbrowser Control - HTML Page With Embedded JavaScript?
Jun 5, 2009I am using a Webbrowser control to access the elements in an HTML page which contains a JavaScript link which when clicked, adds extra content to the page. This works fine in IE 7 and Firefox.I then want to access this extra content in my program. Having found the HTML element containing the link, I tried element.InvokeMember("click"). I have used this successfully with a submit-type link to login to the web site, but cannot get it to work with the JavaScript link. I also tried setting the focus to the link element and using SendKeys to send the ENTER key, but all to no avail. Nothing seems to happen. I don't see the extra content produced by the JavaScript, nor do I get an error.Here is an extract from the HTML, showing the relevant (I hope) code:

Jul 13, 2010I am developing a winforms application that will have an offline mode, so that it can access the data if an internet connection (or more accurately, a connection to my WCF service) cannot be established. I have decided to utilize SQL Server Compact edition on the client side of the application & was wondering what the general consensus is on the "best" practice for making the client application (Sql Server Compact) subscribe to the master database (MSSQL 2008).
Management enters information into a web based administration panel that I developed and is stored in a MSSQL 2008 database.After adding / modifying information, they can click a release "datapack" button which will increment a "datapack" version number, which will later be used by the client application to determine if they are in sync or not. When the client application is started, it connects to the internet and determines if the version numbers are in sync. If not, it pulls the information from the server.
That third step is where I'm a bit lost I thought about simply developing a web service that will expose a dataset containing all of the data and just iterating through it doing inserts, but that seems terribly inefficient to me. The full database probably wouldn't amount to much more than 5 MB total, so that led me to think it would be great if when management clicks the release datapack button, it would store the database in a file that could simply be downloaded and would replace the embedded database. Again, I'm a little lost on how that would work. This is my first time working with an embedded database, most of my work has been web/win apps that have real-time access to the data.

Validating Controls Within (WinForm) After Data Populated
Mar 18, 2011I have a form with a datarepeater that contains various controls (i.e. datetimepickers, text boxes, combobox) that are populated via a binding source. I also have other controls on the form that are not part of the data repeater. I would like to force validating all controls after the data is populated. I have successfully forced validating the non-datarepeater controls using Me.ValidateChildren() at the end of my load event. However, it does not fire the validating events for the controls within the data repeater. I have unsuccessfully tried many different attempts to set and move focus within the datarepeater controls trying to get the validating events kicked off. I am not sure where would be the best place (e.g. in drawItem? in ItemCloned?) to place the code and what it should be exactly.
Here was my latest attempt:

I successfully handled the validating events in the data repeater caused by user input errors. However, I have the unusual situation that the data coming into my form is already bad for some of the controls. The purpose of the form is to validate the data coming in to it and from user-input. I am newbie with vb.net.
WinForm - Textbox Empty Reenter Data

I tried the 'while' loop but I go into an infinite loop. The code is below. The 'if' statement gives the error but allows the user to save.

The MsgBox() at the end shows the response, which as I've added to my script, echos the result from the $user and $pass variables which are supposed to retrieve those details being written to the stream above, but they show up empty.
I'm retrieving those values by doing: $user = $_POST["user"]; $pass = $_POST["pass"];

When I send the data over it's garbage, meaning strTemp comes out as all these chinese characters, and my title bar on the visual basic program gets garbled with a bunch of chinese characters as well. My guess is my "SendMessage" is written wrong, or I'm doing something silly, but I have no idea what. I'm not a windows programmer so I'm kinda trying to figure this stuff out by googling.
