I have a question about the webbrowser control that I hope someone can answer. I am working on a document retrieval and storing class that uses HTML to display and save data. I want to use the webbrowser control in winforms using VB.Net. I only want to store the fields values in the html document, not the whole document. I am hoping to use labels in html and read them with the DOM of the web browser control but am not sure how to do this.
Has anyone done this before and could someone please provide some sample code on how to do this?
I have a question about the webbroswer control regarding anchor tags. Is it possible to programmactically in vb.net go to an anchor tag in a webbrowser control? I would like to ideally provide a combo box drop down on the winform form and control which part of the html page the user goes to when the user makes a selection from the combo box.
I have made a vb.net application which has 63 forms. On each form label2 should contain the username using the application. The first form displayed to the user is the login form. When the user clicks the login button on this form the user name in all newly opened windows should appear inside label2. How can I do this?
There is a panel which contains 2 components: a label and a TreeView. The hierarchy, obviously, looks like this:panel1 // handles Enter event
- label1 - treeView1
I need to do some UI updates when user starts interacting with any of these 3 controls. My attempted strategy was to catch the Enter event of the panel, which would fire when user clicks a label, or TreeView. This way, I can write only one (1) event handler instead of several. While it worked for the TreeView, it didn't work for the label. When I click the label, I don't get the Enter event on the panel. Whats different about the label control? I could handle the Click event of the label. At the same time, I wonder what the other solutions might be.
I am trying to change the UserAgent of the WebBrowser control in a Winforms application.
I have successfully achieved this by using the following code:
[DllImport("urlmon.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Ansi)] private static extern int UrlMkSetSessionOption( int dwOption, string pBuffer, int dwBufferLength, int dwReserved);
[Code]....
The only problem is that this only works once. When I try to run the ChangeUserAgent() method for the second time it doesn't work. I stays set to the first changed value. This is quite annoying and I've tried everything but it just won't change more than once.
I am working on a windows form project and having some problem with UserControl Double Buffering.I created a usercontrol and has a background image, then on top of it I have few radio buttons and labels. Radio buttons and labels are all having transparent background as color. However, when I show and hide the User control, I can see the flickering on those labels and radio buttons that has transparent background. And I tried
Me.SetStyle(ControlStyles.DoubleBuffer _ Or ControlStyles.AllPaintingInWmPaint _ Or ControlStyles.UserPaint _
I am working on a form with several databound textboxes, each with its own label to identify it. I would like for the label to enable/disable based on code logic. I see the label properties in design mode, but cannot access the label properties in code. The intellisense tells me my label name is not declared. Am I not able to access label properties as in vb6 or the same as a textbox?
In my program, when the user clicks a button, a new tab is added to my tabpage and a WebBrowser is added to the tab. I want to be able to access the WebBrowser in the tab without having to give it a name when I add it.
How can I access data that WebBroswer1.navigate function is downloading from a website, while it is downloading it? If I access it once it has finished downloading it through the WebBrowser1_DocumentCompleted function, it only slows down my program, since it has to wait for the website to finish downloading to the control before I can access it.
I have been trying to use the WebBrowser control to access a website, nothing fancy involved, just a Security Certificate error message I can't get around:
The site that I've been trying to access is [URL].. By clicking on the "Login" hyperlink you are taken to a https connection.Internet Explorer simply allows you to click on the "Continue to this website (not recommended)" link which displays the Logon screen.Clicking on the same link in a WebBrowser control simply reloads the page as (I assume) WebBrowser has not been told that the page is ok.
I've tried looking around for the solution with no luck, it seems like such a simple problem..
I am trying to access a browser control in one of my forms from a module but keep getting an error. I attached a screen capture showing the code and the error balloon. The subroutine is public, and I am addressing the browser correctly. If I copy that same code into the "Main" form, and it works perfectly.
I use a webbrowser in the application. the webpage shows a picture showing an IFrame. The picture changes randomly everytime when the page is loaded.I know how to save the picture if it is not in the iframe. but how to do that when it is in iframe? very weird thing is, I can not use the
I'm trying to access a secured website using vb 2005 and webbrowser control. I've got the credentials, the script can pass the login page but when trying to navigate to the second page within, the page is being redirected back(to the first page after logging in). The second page I'm trying to get to retrieves the data from a database and displays some options for the user to select in order to prepare a report which can be downloaded after the fields selections. And I wanted my script to do this automatically without user interaction.
Public Class Form1 Private Sub TestButton_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles TestButton.Click Dim wb As WebBrowser = WebBrowser1
I'm using it for my webbrowser I plan to make my own image viewing area and it could aid my downloader.I've googled a bit and got nothing of use.My Site -[URL] Image Hosting File Hosting 1GB Limit per file Unlimited Files Delete Files File Passwords(Optional)
I have this code Public Sub FillCategoryCombobox(ByVal categoryList As List(Of tblCategory), ByVal LvName As ComboBox) LvName.Items.Clear() Dim itemValue = New Dictionary(Of Integer, String)() For Each category As tblCategory In categoryList itemValue.Add(category.CategoryID, category.CategoryName) Next category LvName.DataSource = New BindingSource(itemValue, Nothing) LvName.DisplayMember = "Value" LvName.ValueMember = "Key" End Sub
I receive an error on LvName.DataSource = New BindingSource(itemValue, Nothing) Value cannot be null
I'm trying to stack a few lists on top of each other. But the label.size.height appears to be bigger then the label itself. When i set the borderstyle to fixedsingle, i see the border around the text. But the height is bigger, so there comes a space between one label and the next. I have tried to set margin and padding to 0 without result. Exemple: label.size.height return 23, when the height actually is something around 15. Does someone knows how i get the right size? Edit: When i explicitly set the height of the lable, the problem is solved. Is this some problem with autosize?
I have a page that refreshes every 20 seconds and I need to know when it is done refreshing, the DocumentCompleted event does not fire when you refresh for some reason.
I have been using vb6 for a while, I am following a tutorial by MS to develop a basic application and a simple task cannot be completed for whatever reasons! The tutorial asks to drag the label object from the toolbox and drop in the tab control container. Then, go to the label size property and adjust the size to some different dimansion. Basic stuff, right? It won't let me do it! After I enter the new dimensions (which by the way are not large or very small), the label size (both width and height) resets back to its original dimensions! I have the vb.net sp1 installed.
I am writing a few web based apps which will require a webbrowser extension. I have already used the IE webbrowser control that uses the trident web rendering engine. I believe this is MSHTML.DLL? Anyway, some of the users of my programs have complained of a few things. Particularily,
1. It seems to be a slow browser, at least compared to other rendering engines out there (webkit and gecko are 2 known ones).
2. On the developer side, it seems to be low in features. The features are sufficient in most cases, but there are some "special" things that I need.
3. It has VERY low HTML (and especially HTML5) compliance.
My question is, how much work would it take to use a different engine (such as webkit .net, which I HAVE heard of) and be able to distribute it easily. Or, if you guys feel ambitious, we could try writing a brand new engine ourselves. I know how big of a job it is, and frankly, I have no clue where to begin. I would just like your thoughts and opinions on the matter.
i have created an app to load an access database into a datagridview, which contains web urls. When button is clicked it webbrowser1 navigates to each url and each webpages document.inertext is put into textbox. This all work fine but after a while the webbrowser navigation becomes increasingly slower.
For Each RW As DataGridViewRow In Me.DataGridView1.SelectedRows '''''''''''#######cell values into strings ########'''''''''''''' If RW.Selected = True Then Dim domain As String
Ive tried to edit option on the webbrowser control, example javascript enable/disable. but found out that it uses IE's option and cannot be changed. So my question is: Is there a way to do a "webbrowser" without using the WEbbrowser control that is based on internetexplorer? If it is, can i change option example flash and so on?

I am upgrading user control from vb6 to vb.net.In the vb6 application I am loading 3000 labels using a label control array. In vb.net I am doing same but it's taking too much time to load.In vb6 it's taking 1-2 seconds, but in vb.net it's taking 30-40 seconds for same work. Why does it take too much time in vb.net for same work?Code is given below, here Led is the label control array.
For l = 1 To 3000 Led.Load(ledCounter) ColLed.Add(Led(ledCounter))
