I've turned the web upside down looking for a way to do this.The only thing I found(although I couldn't get it to work) was the example from the documentation, and it's more code than there is in my program to begin with.
There has to be a simply method of changing the BackColor of the selected item in the ListView details view.I know it's selected when you click on it, and you can press the up/down arrow keys and it'll scroll through the items.
I just want to change the backcolor from the default dark blue to something else, with a line or two of code.

Regarding my college project. i'm working on a sales system . i have a form which consist of all the following information( item code , item name , item price , quantity of item ) which is display using a data grid . data input by user using text box and all this information will be stored in a database(sales database) i'm using ms access 2007. the grand total will be displayed in a text box . and amount paid will be input in a text box too , my major problem now is how to i create a reciept that will have all this information of the purcase. i have a reciept button . what the next step ? i dont have any idea how to get the reciept done.

I have 2 datagridview with name datagridview1, datagridview2. when cell_click on datagridview1, datagridview2 in Form2 will show show on datagridview1 as below:

I cannot set focus to datagridview2 because system always focus to datagridview1
I not that prefer:
Form1.Controls.Add(Form2)
datagridview1.Enabled = false
Because i cannot Form2.bgcolor = transparent to Form1 instead of datagridview1

Using VB 2008:
I am using 2 bound datagridviews.Each on it's own form, bound to the same table.
DGV1 is for displaying
DGV2 is for searching
I am wanting to double click a row on the DGV2 on search form2, closing it, and have the same row highlighted, selected or displayed first on the DGV1 on the display form1.

I have a list box on the form which functions as a copy/paste. When you copy something, it is automatically added to the list box as a "clipboard helper". Here is the problem,however: if the text is more than 1 line, the list box does not show all the text.It ends up looking messy.So getting back to my question, is it possible to make the list box item height for an item depending on the amount of lines that item contains?This is a one line sentence in the list box and should take up one line.This is a multi line sentence in the list box and should take up two lines for item height.

I would like to change the backcolor of the cell in a row based upon the value of a checkbox in another cell. The value of cell 2 would be a checkbox, so it is either true or false. If it is true, then color the backcolor of just cell 1?

I would like to use a different color to indicate to the user that he/she can right click a row or column header to access the Context Menu Strip. Is it possible to compare 2 dataitems and then display the result depending on the 2 values using if eval at run time?I have a ListView with databound controls. 1 is RedemptionChoice and the 2 is CashBack.When 1 reads "0" and 2 reads > 0.00 the output should read AUTO I have read many comments online and most point to create a new function within code behind but have found it impossible to implement on my own.I tried this as a test on the actual page:

2 needs to be greater than 0.00 for AUTO to be displayed. Hence I know this would not work. Just trying to give an example of what I would like.

I have a lstbox1 and a DGV1. In DGV1 I have rows (0) cell(0).value 12:00
rows (1) cell(0).value 12:15
rows (2) cell(0).value 12:30
Ok when select an item in lstbox 1. I would like the item as a lbl to fill the cell from 12:00 to 12:30.
