How can I disable the Excel export option when I generate a report, via the ReportViewer, in my winforms application? In particular, I want to hide the toolbar button that refers to Excel output/export task, and not .the one that handles to the pdf export option.

As it currently stands when you try to export a report you have two options, either export to pdf or as an excel file (97-2003). Is it possible to also include an option for saving the file in Excel 2007 format as well?

When I export the report to Excel, it works fine again. After that when I tried to open the report again, it gives the error : "Load Report Failed" . I'm developing a standalone application. The purpose of it is to have no installation necessary. I'm trying to keep it as small as possible, and everything contained in the actual program, so that the user can let it sit right on their desktop. I wanted to make it possible to generate an image, preferably something transparent (.png, .gif) of a certain dimension, and export it to a certain folder. I've explored Bitmap library, but I've yet to come up with a successful solution. I'd be very obliged if someone could point me in the correct direction. Here's my current code:

Working in the interface I find it very frustrating that when you double click something in a form, it automatically enters code that you have to delete, then exit out when you were only trying to single click. Is there any way to disable this double click feature? Or possibly change it so if you press CTRL and click it automatically brings up the Code?

the csv file was exported but the first column don't having the double quotes. i need double quote with every column. i tried so many ways with in that one of the way is working fine that is columns = string.format(" ""{0}"",""{1}"",""{2}""","A","B","C") -- put space before first column.
but i need result without space.

I read the solution of adding a single quote but it makes my excel sheet column ugly. Also users will complain if they see a single quote on zip code field.vb.net code

I have an asp:table which I want to exported to excel. One of my fields are alpha numeric and when exported to excel the leading 0s are stripped off. After going through this thread: Validation (CSS 2.0): 'mso-number-format' is not a known CSS property name I would like to use the css method "mso-number-format:@;.But the css is not exported to excel. I just tried to test it with simpler css things like bold font etc but its not getting carried over. I can see that if I surround my asp:Label with tags this change gets carried over to the excel but not the css bold . Other solutions in other thread does not work for me as ="00111" shows up as desired in excel but in the web form it shows up as ="00111" which is not what i want.

View 7 RepliesI'm using Active Reports within my VB program to generate a report based on my data. Right now I have the report opening fine and it is allowing the user to print, copy, find, etc. I am unsure how to add the functionality to let the user choose to export the chart once the program is running. I've been looking at many tutorials but there is always something that makes it unable to work in my program. For example this forum gives the exact code for what I want as they add an export button to the toolbar and then adds the functionality to the button. Unfortunately I am unable to access the toolbar. They access it with Me.Toolbar and I am unable to access it this way.Another forum here doesn't add the export to the toolbar and instead inserts it directly into the code but I'm not sure what to import to allow me to do it this way as my project doesn't recognize ActiveReportsPDFExport.ARExportPDF.
UPDATE: Found a way to export to PDF by adding to the ActiveReport in the design format a DataDynamics.ActiveReports.Export.Pdf.PdfExport and then calling from my code PdfExport1.Export(Me.Document, "D:KyraHELP.pdf")
