What can I use to make my 40mb .NET app 10mb or less? I tryed netz compressor but that only takes it down to 30mb not to mention the EXE doesn't work after that. Its compiled in .NET Framwork 4.0.
View 4 RepliesWas just wondering, why would a 70KB application takes almost 10MB of RAM? All the application does is that it shows the amount fo FREE RAM my computer has. It has 2 pictures, an icon and 2 labels. The amount remains the same, it doesn't increase with the passing of time, I just think such a small application shouldn't eat that much memory.

is this a good idea or not really? instead of having to open a file through filestream, i would like to just save text in an encrypted format in application settings. is this OK if the text is under 10mb? what would be the best way of implementing this?

Question 03:How to try applying an array of mathematical functions to the numerical values to see if size reduction is possible: I want to try testing all mathematical functions with any and all mathematical values of smaller size to see if the file can be compressed.
I just want to ask or I need some idea on how to convert wav files to mp3 and compressed the file to make the size smaller. I've search on the internet and find vorbis.dll as a reference object and lame.exe for converter. With regards to the audio compression, i downloaded monkey's audio software but doesnt have an idea on how to incorporate it.

Basically I use SetPixel on a given window to draw a line, work fine, but the line goes away as the window redraws itself.The problem: I have been putting timers and threads on it to make sure the line is being drawn. It works really well, except if you search "T" then the code removes all items, if you search "t" then it removes every item except for those starting with "t". Is there any way to make a 'like' statement, or use some kind of wildcard to make the statement not case sensitive?
