I am trying to find duplicates in a string. The code works more than I would. The purpose is to create a jagged array with values and positions like this one:
myString = "1123464263948465475965069068547363532627281901"
jagged= {{{1},{0,1,42,45}},{{2},{2,7,36,38,40}},{{3},{3,9,31,33,35}},{{4},{4,6,11,13,16,29}},.........}
Value Positions
1 0,1,42,45
2 2,7,36,38,40
3 3,9,31,33,35
4 4,6,11,13,16,29 ......... and so on with unique keys and multiple or not values.
My code do this, but looping all over the string there a moment when it repeats values and positions, because already found them earlier. How do I make to keep just the UNIQUES? How do I skip the loop when the value is already in?
My code below
Public Class Form1
Public myString As String = " "
Public jagged()() As Integer
Private Sub Form1_Load(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
myString = "1123464263948465475965069068547363532627281901"
jagged = New Integer(myString.Length - 1)() {}

View 3 RepliesI have a following value "1pm 2am" that I'm using a regular expression againts in SSIS to extract hours from in order to store separately. I've tried using both of the regular expressions below but both only yield the first number "1".
"(d+)"
"(*?d{1,2}*?)"
[code] will both give the error "The method 'CompareString' is not supported". If I make the same call searching for an integer (ID field) it works fine. .SingleOrDefault (Function(x As Account) x.Id = 12)So interger matching is fine but strings don't work Is this a problem with the VB.net templates?
View 3 RepliesI'm trying to write a function to find a word in a string in the this format : "ThisissometextthatIneedtofindandthisisthetext. This is another text."It's read as " This is some text that I need to find and this is the text. This is another text." but there is no space between each word. I want to get the word "text" or any word in that string. Can you help me with this function with a code sample ?
And I think that this method can be implemented with a string of Unicode also because in a sentence of Unicode it contains one or few, sometimes zero spaces between each word.
If i have a line in a txt document "text.txt".Now what i want to do is open the file and read the contents.
When it find this "search.selectedEngine" term then it should delete that particular line and replace it with another string ("REPLACED STRING").
I'm adding some content within a long concatenated string (it's horrible, I know).
