Modify Date After Selection At Calendar Component (datetime Datatype)
Jan 1, 2012
Assuming that i picked a day from a Calendar component on VS 2008, how may i add a specific number of days to the date? (i've to store the final date in datetime datatype to DB after which) Parsing involved possibly?
I am trying to store DoteOfBirth from a Calender control in visual studio 2010.
Dim dob As Date = Calendar1.SelectedDate.Date.ToShortDateString()
I wanna save like dd/MM/yyyy without anything else but when i save it it shows like
2012-02-28T00:00:00+00:00
I don't know where to change the format and I don't know how to remove the thing attached to the date. I am writing it in vb.net and saving to xml file.
When I clear my form, I am trying to clear the Month Calendar of all selected dates. Using this code clears everything but the Selection Start Date, I would assume there would be a way to clear this, Refresh doesn't work, and I can't seem to find anything else.
Public Sub clearScheduleControls() Me.MonthCalendar1.RemoveAllBoldedDates() Me.MonthCalendar1.UpdateBoldedDates()
I'm using a 3rd party chart COM object (National Instruments CW graph) to plot data versus elapsed time. The x value needs to be a VB6 equivalent Date type which is a .NET DateTime datatype. What I need is a way to convert a TimeSpan datatype to a DateTime datatype.
Dim testTime as System.DateTime 'date Dim plotTime as System.DateTime 'date Dim elapsedTime as System.TimeSpan[code].....
I'v designed a ms access database table with one field having Datetime datatype. I can Insert data into it from vb.net front end by trns_dt DateTime.Now.DateBut when I fetch records from the tableand assign the dataset datasource as da, it shows datatype mismatch error.
I don't know if my SQL statement is wrong or what but basically I'm trying to select a record where a date column in SQL matches the value selected by the user in a date and time picker control. The format in SQL is IE: '2010-03-23 00:00:00:000'. The date and time picker shows me 'March-23-10'. How can I get it to match up with the way SQL holds it's dates and return a matching record? Is there some intellisense that pops up that
I am using calendarextender control in asp.net.It displays only date ,not time. But while inserting to database ,time is inserted automatically. But while retrieving the data from database using date in where condition ,no correponding records displays. What modification in storedprocedure i can do to resolve this problem.
I'm developing a finance software and I want the user to enter a bill and pick the due date via month calendar. I getting it to work was the easy part, but now I only want one month calendar, for each time a user enters in a bill and picks a date.every time the user goes to pick a due date I have to call one of the several I have on screen. Here is my code that I have so far:Add due date button:
I am building an appointment booking system web application in asp.net in VB,
Im simply trying to check whether an appointment has been made on a date selected from the calendar control. I am using Linq for the bindings but the format from the calendar is mmddyyyy when i need ddmmyyyy, my appointments entered int sql table as are 20/09/2012 10:00:00
trying to use a linq from p in db.apps where p.date=mycontrol.selecteddate
[Code]......
im not sure if the code DateTime.Parse,,,, is right, there are many appoinments on the selected date which i select from the calendar but i think the DateTime format is not translating into SQL correctly
I have a datetimepicker on my form. When I click the down arrow, it goes down correctly. When I select a date, it stays down. In order for it to roll up, I have to change my focus to a different area.Is there anyway to make it rollup when a day is clicked? It feels awkward the way it is now.
I've been making a scheduling program using the calendar object.I can manage to select any date with a single click with a message box pop up entering a memo for the date selected. After pressing ok, the memo is displayed in a list box, with date.
1.Unfortunately the date is being displayed twice - perhaps because i used .selectedrange in the handler ? i would like it to be listed only once
2. the memo comes up on a separate line, ideally id like it to be displayed on the same line as the date.i tried ListBox1.Items.Add(whendate, memo) but it cant compile, so ive had to put each line in seperately
3. I would like to mark the sundays and national holidays in red color (the calendar is only set for a year so i dont mind doing them by hand, however the only tool i can find in the Monthcalendar1 properties is MonthlyBoldedDates, and no color assignment [code]
I am interested in showing list of 12 months like in similar way to datepicker's month selection control. But i don't like to show the date picker to show the dates of that month too... only month view is ok so that i can select month from the list.
I am trying to get so users can select there dates from a calendar and those selected dates will put into a sql query to pull from a database. I am stuck on how to get strings of the dates to fill the query.
Imports System.Data.SqlClient Partial Class TEST Inherits System.Web.UI.Page Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load [Code] .....
I think I might be going mad because I have loads of strings which are being converted into dates and one pesky little one wont go through. Code: "Feb 20 10:36" and "Dec 11 14:17" Are acceptable and parse perfectly using Date.Parse() however... Code: "Sep 24 11:25" Does not.
The error I get is: The DateTime represented by the string is not supported in calendar System.Globalization.GregorianCalendar.
I'm trying to compare the modify date of a file vs the current system date. I've found an MSDN article describing how to get the modify time of a file:
Dim infoReader As System.IO.FileInfo infoReader = My.Computer.FileSystem.GetFileInfo("C: estfile.txt") MsgBox("File was last modified on " & infoReader.LastWriteTime)
This gest the Date and Time, but I want just the Date not the time.
I've been trying to search out the answer to this question, but i couldnt find any. How do set the calendar component to display only certain dates, say 6 weeks from current date?
I am creating a Calender application using the monthly calender control.I am trying to implement a search for the calendar so a date can be entered into a text box which intern moves the calender to show the date entered. I have been try to figure this out with no luck, is it even possible to do?
I'm using two DateTimePickers to represent 'StartDate' & 'EndDate'. On initialization I set the StartDate control to today's date at 12:00 AM. I do that like this;
My mailbox regularly gets emails from people wanting to promote their events. Usually the subject line looks like this:
fwd: come to *TMC* meeting this weekend, <5/19/2012 @ 1300 >
I need a script to read the date, then make an appointment on my outlook calendar, using that date, time and term (TMC) as the meeting title. So it should make an appointment on 5/19/2012 at 1pm, called "TMC meeting"All appointments are 2 hours by default.I used The identifiers "*" and "<>" as an example, and can be changed to be whatever, what is important is that the meeting gets on my calendar with the correct title.
is there a date datatype in visual studio 2008? cause i want to create a column name with date as its datatype.. but the one that comes out is datetime..
I am in ethiopia and we have 13 monthes. 12 of them with 30 days each and 13th month with 5 or 6 days. I want to sort my data by date using the bindingsource sort method. But to do that I need to set my date field a date data type. When i set the datatype to date, i can't enter some values like 13 for the month value and 30 for day value of 2nd month.
What I want is just to make my application accept 13 as a month and 30 as a day for all monthes, so that i can sort my data by date. Is it possible to do so by setting culture for my application or by some other means?

I am working with calendar inside GridView using VB. I have some NULL date on the DDBB. I can fix the problem using EVAL, but when I try to save the date from the calendar, I got an error telling me that their is no @variable declared.[code]Everything is fine but I got: Must declare the scalar variable "@tDate" trying to save. This is beacuse I'm not using Bind, but with BIND I cannot run checkDate.
