I'm woking in aprogram that read sms from phone and show them in datagrid.berfore I link the datagrid to the database it read the show the message fine in the datagrid but now it show Error message

I have a bound DataGridView where the user should enter an item number in one cell, the name of this item will be displayed in the next cell, and depending upon variables of this item number, the focus should be set to the correct cell on the same row.
My problem is that I can not seem to get the focus to the correct cell.

I am trying to port a program I wrote with old VB 1 and I have many control arrays in the program, and it was so easy to do this in older versions of VB, now I am trying to find how to do this and all the answers I have found are a major productions, to replace something that was so easy to do? I would think that microsoft would make programming easer with each new incarnation. instead they are making it harder. doing away with the DATA and READ statement, now it is much harder to fill an array with a loop, now you have to enter each item in an array ONE by ONE. they did away with the ON statement, I had several ON statements, I had to make complex Select case constructs. to replace a simple one word statement?
To make an array of controls in OldVB all you had to do is Name a Second control the Same as the First, and a dialog pops up and ask if you want to make an array, you click Yes, and that's it, what could be easier than this?

I am trying to fill my DataGridView using a date for my parameter. My first problem was in my code where I would get the common error message of Too many arguments to public overrides overloadable. I solved that error message by going into the dataset designer, selecting the query and adding RegDate as a parameter. Now my problem is that I will enter a date in my tool strip text box click the button and still get my data grid view filled with all the data.

I want when i select a cell of the DatagridView, with the right button of the mouse, that i get a menu with 4 opties of colors.
When i do a selection, of 1 color from the menu, then change the cell into that color, en automatically save the tabel of the database.

I just recently started getting an index out of bounds error on one of my arrays at runtime. I was not having this issue previously. It only seems to happen when several items are added to a listbox.
Here is my declaration and code.
