.net - Remove The Checkboxes From Individual Items In A ListView Control?

I have a ListView with the columns 'Name', 'Expected', 'Total', and I want to add another column saying 'Recount' at the end. The 'Recount' column will ideally have a checkbox only if the 'Expected' value is larger than the 'Total' value.
So far I have got the ListView with columns and can add a check box on the left hand side, but that check box is not under a column heading (though I can probably put another column with no values in there to work around that) and it is on all of the records.

Problem: I need a way to have individual notes for all the items in a listview. Tools: 1 Listview, 1 button and 1 Textbox.I would like to click an item and have notes for that item pulled from the settings.When the button is pressed I want the notes for the item to be saved in the settings.

My program takes a checkboxed item and depending on the serial number that is present on the item on the invoice, subtracts one from the amount list I have the following in a listview on a details page which I added with the following code:
Item - Low Socks(pink)
Serial # - 34-75-860
Price - 5.89
Amount - 12

Right now it doesn't look like it does anything. I have tried changing my index's on my subitems to 1 and 3 instead of 0 and 2 but i figured because they are subitems that they need to be subitem index 0 and subitem index 2 since there is one item and three subitems to that one item.

I've got a listview with a bunch of items which all use checkboxes. Each time an item is checked or unchecked I want to save the selection. Whilst saving/loading the selection is not an issue, I can't seem to find an event which triggers AFTER the checked item has been changed. For example, the ItemChecked event will fire when an item has been checked or unchecked but the event will give it's checked status BEFORE it was changed. I've had to resort to saving the list when it loses focus but this isn't ideal.

I've got this code which basically loops through a set of folders and subfolders and finds specific file types. And then lists these in a listview. Now, it's intended to list exe and msi files. And I've made it so that these icons can be doubleclicked after they have been listed. I do this by adding the path to the file in it's tag property.
But, my superiors want a checkbox next to each item. So that they can check each item they want installed. And then have a button which runs the path in each tag property one at a time. It's basically the part where I fill the listview with the checkbox, filename of the exe or msi file, tag and the icon that I'm wondering about.

I want a context menu strip to have 4 specific items. For testing purposes, we call them Item1, Item2, Item3, and Item4.I've set up a context menu strip like this, and I am using it for about 20 different controls. I want these four items to do different things based on what control the user right clicks. The only way I could think of doing this, was to make 20 context menu strips and create a click event for each item. This obviously, seems like a really bad way of doing it.Does anyone have any suggestions or another way of making the click events for the individual Items based on what control is right clicked?

I want to set a color on items and subitems being displayed within the listview control in a detailed view.Using the forecolor property setting would change the color of all the contents in the listview control. All I want is to display different colors on each column of the listview control. If I have four colums on the listview, it should display the contents on each column in a different color. I have 5 columns and the rows are not dependent on each other. I just want to add items to each column. How can I do this? For example, I want to do:

etc
But it's not letting me do this?

I am very new to Visual Basic, and I need to add items from my database to the ListView control. I have a table in the database called tblChannels that I would like to draw the information from and populate the ListView control in VB, in the form of a column. I currently am unsure about how to go about doing this. I have a dilemma whereby I have a form which contains a number of comboboxes that contain information/options/items that may be invalid/out-of-date in certain circumstances.I can't simply remove the out-of-date information from the items, but I do want to give the user a visual-clue when options are invalid.

I am currently using a recursive search to get all of the files in a directory as well as in all subdirectories of that directory. At the moment (as a temporary solution to make sure the script worked) I have all files with their respective directories listed in a listview (2 separate columns).

I am writing a windows application in vb.net. I have a database that will eventually hold about 100-150 people. To make it easier to find the person you need, I want to be able to organize them into an expandable list with Sophomore, Junior, and Senior as headers. Treeview seems like exactly what I need except I need checkboxes on the students but not on the headers. Is there a way to remove the checkboxes for the root nodes but keep them for the child nodes or is there another control I can use to the same effect?

I have a combo box which will store a list of RGB values generated when the user makes a custom color in the color dialog. The values are stored in the combo box in RRR, GGG, BBB format. I have this working. The code for this is as follows:

This is a WinForms Application in VB. In my application I am trying to make it easier for the user to pick out items in a list quickly based on the items text color.. So I am trying to assign the color to each item using a select case statement as below... The problem is that I am getting an error saying "Public member 'Attributes' on type 'String' not found." VB flags the lines with the Attribute.Add param with this error.. Here is the code that I currently have...
