I have a form called privateOrder, and two other forms.in the first form when I double click on a datagridview it opens the privateOrder form.in the second form I have a button, when I click it also calls the privateOrder form.I want to know if there is a way to distinguish what event calls the privateOrder.show() Depending on the event called for PrivateOrder I want the privateOrder_Load Behave in two different situations.I tried to use the "e" parameter but when privateOrder loads the "e" parameter is empty.
how do I call the events for a datagrid? I want to update, add, and delete records to a bound datagridview. Is there a simple way to accomplish this? Most of the Database connections are handled but how is the editing handled?
This is a very basic newbie question, but I still haven't worked it out yet. I have a fair amount of code that I want carried out inside my Form1_Mousemove event, but I also want the exact same code inside the Form1_MoveClick event. I assume the best solution is to take all of the code and put it inside a seperate procedure and call it from both events? Or is it possible to call one of the events manually so inside my Mouseclick event, could I force a call to the Mousemove event?
I am trying to make a routine that will be called everytime the mouse button is clicked. I want it to be called so that the controls event that the mouse is clicked on is triggered.
For example:
You have a button control on your form. Instead of having the Button1_click event
You have a Control_click event. And that Control_Click event will be used for each control on the form.
I am trying to close my application and I have coded on the form closing, form closed events to call an exit form which asks the user for confirmation to exit or not. All works fine. When I press the X button on the winform things act different. On the main form where I press the X btn I store some user ID data that I use throughout the app. If I press cancel on the exit form that data is lost from the main form and cannot be used afterwards. So if the user pressed by mistake the X btn and then presses cancel on the exit form the application loses some stored data and many functions stop working.
Iam wanting touse sendinput in a dos or background type app (can be a regular app thats hidden) that emulates mouse clicks and sends mouse moves to another multimouse application. an project that im working on for my school i work at and i need to send the input to it. The overview of the project is i need to have this code be in a service that runs in the background that when a person does a gesture with my kinect code then it clicks the left mouse or sythesis it with sendinput (need mouse up and down sent for this to work). The end programs that receive input are: a program written in the multipoint sdk and mouse mischief. I though about using the default usb mouse driver as an emulated mouse driver to handle the part about creating a usb mouse device that works since most newer computers are using usb.

I created a control that has picture box control docked within it. This control allows me to "animate" the image by swapping them out by setting the interval to swap them at. I want to use this control kind of like an animated icon within a application, but because the picture box is docked, the control I created won't respond to the events, MouseHover specifically. I have a VB .NET 2010 application. I added a C# project to my solution. I tried to call the form called 'main'. However, I could not figure out a way to do that. What is the best way to do that? I Goggled, and did not find anything. Actually I noticed that my Developer converted everything to VB .NET.

How do I access the events generated by second sub in Vb.Net?
I find that I write a lot of code within my classes to keep properties in sync with each other. I've read about Events in Classes, but have not been able to wrap my head around how to make them work for what I'm looking for.For example, in this one I always want to keep myColor up to date with any change whatsoever in any or all of the Red, Green or Blue properties.

If one or more of those changes, I want myColor to be updated. Easy enough as above, but is there a way to work with events that would automatically do this so I don't have to put myColor = Color.FromArgb(Red, Green, Blue) in every sub routine?
Is it possible to get an asp.net code (preferably vb.net) to query a sql server for results, but for it to somehow wait for a response from the server when a change is found in the records without resorting to server intensive loops?For example, I want to write a query which checks the date of a record, if the date is different from last known date, only then should the query return the results.
