How can you access the webcam and microphone in VB.net, assuming the user even has one?
I fail to see a My.Computer.Webcam or My.Computer.Microphone, both of which would probably have been a nice addition.
I'm writing a windows application that need to access the raw data of the microphone input. Basically there's an electronic circuit connect to the microphone jack, and I need to get that data and process it. All I could find are some examples of using API to save the data to a wav file or something like that. But I need to process the data in real time. Get the exactly value of the input on that time. Is it possible?

I have a external hardware that has a miniplug output that i connected to my pc microphone input. That output has two posible states, white noise or no sound at all.What im trying to do is an application that would fire an event every time there is a change from one state to the other.

Ive got a program that relies on remote control of the computer, and i need to be able to take a webcam image without the user having to press buttons etc. So far, ive gotten to the point where i can find my webcam, and with the help of a button, start a preview, then take the picture and save it as a jpeg.Problem is, when you press the button to start the preview, another dialog box shows up (not related to my code) prompting me to select a video source..Im confused kus it seems as though the list i find on form_load does nothing at all if when i press the button it prompts me with the same list.Well you can infer from this that i cannot use the btnstart_click(sender, e) on form_load because it opens a dialog that wont close until i press ok, and i already tried to sendkeys enter, it didnt work.anyone have any idea how i can either alter my code, or make new code to take a web cam image, and save it with no user input?

I am testing the FFT function of Naudio, but with the tests that I did in audacity it seems that FFT does not detect the pitch correctly. I played an C5, but the highest pick was at E7.I changed the first dropdown box in the frequency analysis window to "enchanced autocorrelation" and after that the highest pick was at C5.

I found some examples that show tracking a certain color, but that wont work because the qr codes have different colors. some are red, blue, purple, black, and green. I am using the touchless sdk to capture the video. How would I go about tracking the person's hand holding a 1"x1" cube? View 1 RepliesI have a logitech webcam that I use to take pictures of customers to submit to a server/database. Utilizing AVICAP32.DLL calls, I was able to modify my VB.NET program to take these pictures via a button in my program.
My question is, it would me more convenient to my intended users to click the webcam button, instead of clicking on the button in my program.

I have a procedure at the end of my console application that ask the user to either hit enter to end the program, or type s to perform another search. The issue I'm having is no matter what the user types in the program end. What I would like to happen is if the user types s, then the program starts over and lets the user perform another search. The program is procedural and I need to find a way to start back off at the top of the program which ask the user to type a name to search.
