View 1 RepliesI am trying to write an app to automate some of this Amongst many other things, I run perfmon /report to do get diagnostic results and basic system checks, and I run perfmon /rel to get reliability score (stability index)Does anyone know a way I can get this info in my VB app? or at least run the scan from the app and get the results back? I assume it is picking the results up from the registry or system somewhere when I run them commands?

I want to know how to code in such a way that if i click one button, there should be some change done to some other button in the same form. Since all the buttons are generated in the loop, i do not know how to call one button elsewhere in the code.

how to handle movement of buttons that are made in runtime. What my program does is writes the name of a button that is made in runtime, the left, and top cordinate into a textfile. When the user reopens the program it needs to load the button in the same spot. So far i have a streamreader reading the file in each line. There is a one sentence split by ",". Each of the three components are loaded into an array. how can i call the buttons it i am unsure of the name. Possible answer could include using sender, addhandler.

I've an application which contains data about employees etc. I'm now at the point I'd like to view the info in a different way. I currently run input forms, employee lists etc from buttons on a main form, I now would like to run a report from a button.I used the crystal reports template to build a report, I just need to run it from the main form.

View 1 RepliesI have a problem in crystl report viewer export button, when user click on the export button. it becomes hangs . this thing I observed the same report are working fine in XP OS and XP 2003 server, this problem produced only in Window 2008 Server and Vista workstation. one thing more, I have used Multi Threading in crystal report . for performace improvement I called a crystal report asyncrosni calll. He can view a crystal report fine on his machine, but he can't export the report to pdf, or excel etc. even tho he has the programs installed. He is just missing the export button on the report viewer. On all the other agents pcs, the button is there. And on mine as well.

When i pass the parameter and run the report it works fine as i close the form it closes the form is there any way so that i should be able to close the crystal report viewer and pass the parameter again and should be able to view report again.

I have created an application using vb.net 2008 and for reports Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 but the problem is, when I run the application in another machine away from developing box, I get the Load report failed notice. I don't have any idea on how I should approach this issue. I tried installing the CRRedist2008_x86 and CRRedist2005_x86 but still the problem won't go away.
