I am adding more rows to gridview control. How can i save these data to database?

While the user selects the rows using checkbox, the data are displayed in adjoining datagridview(named dgv3).. Now, the issue is that when i click submit button, i want the data in dgv3 to be inserted in database (Ms access-2003)..
I am using : vb.net, vs2008, ms access 2003..

I'm in the process of tweaking it to his needs, and also in the process of trying to figure out the code. I am having a hard time trying to get one aspect working which is a COUNT of all jobs employees have been to. My Access database is as follows:[code...]
The assigned Jobs column should basically load the number of rows (Assigned Jobs) under each persons unique ID number from the Call Out Details Table, while the rest of the info is pulled in from the Employees Detail Table.

It basically calculates the total number of approved holiday requests for a staff member which is correct. I want this number to then update the HolidayTaken field in another table each time a holiday is approved.
I have tried an update however you cannot use an aggregate in an update as I have found.

Basically, it doesn't work and I don't get it. I've been trying to figure this out for a few days now and I can't see what I've done wrong. As you can see I'm trying to manually update a field in my database with the value of (originalvalue)+1 when the user clicks the buttonfield of the corresponding row.
I guess what I'm asking is if anyone can point out any mistakes, please do, or if there's a better way to do this (without having to go through all the DAL/BLL BS)

What I want to achieve is when I click on that link, I want to catch all the information from the row that the link is in. So for example, if row 1, 2, and 4 has links in cell 5, When I click row 1's link, I want to get all the cell value from row 1. When I click on row 2's link, I want to get all the cell value from row 2, etc. I am somewhat close but not quite. When I click on row 2, I still get the same value from row 1, same as when I click on row 4, I get the same value from row In short, I want to get the row's value based on the link that's in the row. May 8, 2012I have limited knowledge on VB coding. I am now creating a system which allow customer to select exhibition event and booth number they want and next reserved which day they want to rent.By default, in GridView control can add checkbox Field but it only generate 1 checkbox for 1 row of data.
As state in the title, I have no idea how to generate the checkboxes for every field in database call D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6 and D7, each carry value 0 by default.Now I want every single field have a checkbox to allow customer select which day they want to reserve and retrieve their checked value to stole into corresponding D1-D7 field, checked value will update value 0 to 1.Next, how should I coding to store the checked value into database? in default.aspx or default.aspx.vb? generate checkbox instead of using gridview?What I want

Comboboxes In GridView Are Synchronized Instead Of Bound To The Value From The Database
Jul 3, 2010I have tried to set up combo boxes in the gridview but all the combo boxes have the same value in them instead of the value from the database. I am using entity framework and WPF. There is a parent child relationship between two tables but the source for the combo box is a separate table with names and IDs for tags. I have been looking all day. Hopefully this won't be too easy to solve.
The "Tag" Column displays the combo box. The Column "Tag ID" displays the value from the database. When I display the data the TagID Changes in diffrent rows but the Tag column is the same (the first choice) in all the rows. When I change one combo box they all change. I can't see where they are hooked together.

Database Updating, But GridView Remains Unchanged?
Oct 12, 2011I've got my code to delete rows out of the database when the user clicks on the Delete button in my GridView, but the GridView isn't updating to reflect the new data changes.
Here's my code:

EDIT 1:Did some stepping through the code and found that e.CommandArgument is not getting a value in grdQuestions_RowCommand
EDIT 1 (Revised):The fact that e.CommandArgument wasn't getting a value was my mistake. I'd changed the way it's value was being assigned without removing the previous method.The code runs through grdQuestions_RowCommand and then goes into grdQuestions_RowDeleting and then executes GetModuleData.I have a feeling that to view changes to the grid, a PostBack might be required, but I've removed all DataBinding to an If Not IsPostBack Then block because the alternative caused problems with the DropDownList whose selection is used as a reference to populate the grid (ddlModules selected the Module whose Questions will display in the grid).
