I am using Axinterop.Owc11.dll.If i deploy my application on windows 7 with office 2007, My application gives error at loading point of that component.
so when i run my application it gives me error "unhandled exception has occured in your application. if you click..Attempetd to read or write protected memory. this is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."so i copied my sourcecode on that machine and debug. When i run my application in debug mode it won't give me error but if i run my application without debugging it gives me above error.
I found that it give me error in InitializeComponent()

View 7 RepliesI have a program in VB.Net that receives mails from Outlook, extracts attachments and inserts the attachments into a table through a query. I would like to put the query/queries in a Try/Catch block, but cannot do so as Outlook exceptions cannot be caught, and it gives me an error, and unless I put a very specific exception, I cannot catch it. Is there a workaround?

Exception is underlined and when I hover on it, it says: "Catch cannot catch type 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.Exception' because it is not in 'System.Exception' or a class that inherits from 'System.Exception'". This is affecting all my other code which I'd like to put into a Try/Catch block.

It was working fine until this morning, when it has suddenly started giving me the error above: 'Application' is ambiguous in the namespace 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel'.I haven't changed any project references, or anything within the file itself. View 2 RepliesBasically I've coded an Excel 2007 project in VB.NET 2010 that allows you to create charts with a fair amount of interactivity. I want the user to be able to save and reopen this workbook and still have that interactivity in any already-created charts, so they don't have to re-create them.
When I create the charts, I use Sheet1.Controls.AddChart(...), which returns a Microsoft.Office.Tools.Excel.Chart with which I can handle events and such. However, when I reopen the file and look through the Sheet1.Controls collection, there are no Chart objects. Accessing the charts through Sheet1.ChartObjects.Chart gives me Interop Charts, when I need the Tools Charts.
I have been trying to use vb2008 to automatically update CustomDocumentProperties fields that I have set up within a pro-forma document. I can load the Word application and word document without problems.I want to update the CustomDocumentProperties fields with data read from a dB. To do this I am assuming that I need to iterate through the CustomDocumentProperties fields within the word document and when one is "found" that matches the data I wish to merge then assign the dB value to the field.The problem is that I am getting an exception error when I try to reference the document customdocumentproperties

Now i have tried the private sub eg SATS() on a separate button and it works perfectly . so it appears to be that the sub is not been called. I think it is probably a syntax where the datetime answer is not been recognised, in that textbox1.text = "sat" is not the same as datetime = sat .

View 1 RepliesI am using an embedded webbrowser control to access a third-party website, populate the username and password boxes on their front page, and login. The problem I have is that the resulting window that the site returns to me is in the form of a new window. What I want to do is capture this window and all it's session/cookie data in to the original webbrowser control, as even if I direct the original window to the same resulting url, some kind of authentication data is missing and the site tells me I have logged out, even though the popup window works fine. I need that page in the original control so that I can continue to access it programmatically, and I don't really want to get in to the complication of accessing the new window, as I expect I'll have to delve in to the api or something.

I've had a program using Office Web Components operational for about 5 years. I just installed Windows updates to the Vista 64 operating system, and now under Visual Studio express edition with Visual Basic, I am getting over a hundred error messages related to the following:
'Office' is not a member of 'Microsoft'
So, for example, the program has references like
Microsoft.Office.Interop.Owc11.ChCharts
and I now get an error message

how to fix it so these error messages disappear? (Where did Office go, and does it still contain Interop.Owc11, wherever it is?)

Then I can't instantiate Excel App.. I'm currently doing a project that includes access 2010 My question will be what driver can I use for an access 2010 *.accdb type file? For a *.mdb it works perfectly well with

But, when I changed the mbd to accdb:

View 2 RepliesI have referenced the Microsoft Office 11.0 Object Library and am using it to "run" my custom spell check dialog, meaning I am populating and looping through the spelling errors, instead of showing the standard Word dialog. I am trying to figure out how to "ignore" a word or "ignore all" words from appearing as a misspelled word again. Shouldn't there be a ignoredwordlist or something?
