Adding Two Time Values In Textbox?

Oct 5, 2010

I am trying to write a small program so I can log times of the jobs I do throughout the day. I have figured out getting the time values and getting the time differences between travel start and travel finish. The problem is i need to add together two sets of travel times to get a total travel figure for the day. I am struggling with the adding of two time values in textboxes.

Word 2007 Adding Adding Values To Combo List Box

Jun 7, 2011

I am trying to create a simple Word doc that when the user presses the button it takes the information in the boxes and tosses it into a template style paragraph. But my issue is that I have two combo list boxes as seen in the picture. I want to have two values in the drop down list as seen in the labels next to them but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do this in Word 2007. In Visual Studio this is much easier but I am work and need to snap this out for the folks at work. Is there an option that I can choose in the properties where I type in the values for each drop down or do I have to add them in at run time?

Time Display - Adding Hours To Convert UTC Time

Dec 20, 2010

I am trying to create what I am sure is a simple program to add hours to convert UTC time. I want to type in a UTC time and have it convert for every state in Australia. [Code] Now that works fine however when the conversion goes past "midnight" it then shows the date and time. I have tried about 50 different things but cannot get it to remove the date when the converted time passes midnight. [Code] The string was not recognized as a valid DateTime. There is an unknown word starting at index 18.

List To Update Every Time And Show The Values Each Time To Which The Previous Value Is Added To The New Calculation?

Jun 22, 2010

The idea with this form is to add the futures which is calculated when the button is pushed but I need the list to update every time and show the values each time to which the previous value is added to the new calculation, e.g. of what it should look like in listbox:

Year 1: $1,290.93
Year 2: $2,724.32
Year 3: $4,350.76
etc....

I have been working on this a while and I am at a standstill, I was given a function to clear the form everytime it calculates but I don't know how to implement it, I am new to VB. Here is what I have so far:

Public Class frmFutureValue
Private Sub btnCalculate_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, _
ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnCalculate.Click

Remoted DateTime Values Can Not Be Converted To The Equivalent Local Time Of A Remote Computer That Is In A Different Time Zone

I used .NET Framework 1.1 in C/S project before. Now I have updated the project to use .NET Framework 3.5 without modifying source code, but I have found that : the Remoted DateTime values can not be converted to the equivalent local time of a remote computer that is in a different time zone. In .NET Framework 1.1, the DateTime values can be converted automatically.

Link Textbox Values To Resource Values?

May 25, 2009

I'm using a pattern of buttons verticle, & horizonal, to produce a 2 dimensional matrix (6 deep, 25 wide .) The sequence is repeating, but offset from horizonal line to line. the values are 1 thru 12. there are corresponding files in the "My.resources." file carrying names related to the buttons. If the "my. Resources" filename is say.., "1,3,4,6,8,9,11,12 " & the buttons pushed have produduced the string "1","4","6" then the prestated file carries all these values, and therefore should be selected. All integers of the textbox list must be present in a "my.resources" file to show the file. There will be multiple files in the resource file that will fit. (My ultimate intention is to show all files that fit, somehow. I'll have to, eventually. I'm still writing this, and changing it constantly. )the question is, "How do I get the computer to link the textbox integers to the resources files? Textbox = "1", "4", "6" to My.Resources.1,3,4,6,8,9,11,12

Adding Hex Values?

Feb 12, 2009

I have a program that generates a daily hex code. What I am trying to do is get the number of days since the start of the year which I can do using the following

Code:
Dim dtStartDate As Date = "1/1/2010"
Dim tsTimeSpan As TimeSpan
Dim iNumberOfDays As Integer
tsTimeSpan = Now.Subtract(dtStartDate)
iNumberOfDays = tsTimeSpan.Days

Then starting from zero (January 1st) increment the code by the hex value "FF6086A" up to the current number of days. So if done correctly the code for March 17th should be BD0A7F78.

Adding Time To Date?

May 28, 2009

I have an SQL Server database with a table in it that has a column labeled DATE (datatype =date).The table also has a column labeled TIME (datatype Integer) that contains hours and minutes.I would like to be able to display the time in a datetimepicker also.

Would it make sense (remember Im new to VB) to have the time as part of the date column?Doesnt the date/datetime data type include time(7/24/1996 12:00:00 AM)?If so what is the best way to add the TIME column to the DATE column.I know I can go back to our other system (IBM iSeries) and combined the columns and transfer the data over again but that is chore (the transferring) and I want to learn how to do these kind of things without falling back on my IBM skills.It seems I should be able to add time to the DATE column of the table. None of the DATE data transferred over to this table had time with it.

Debug.WriteLine(Me.ServiceRecord.Field(Of Date)("served_date"))

Adding Text Box Values?

Jul 28, 2011

i am writing a golf score program and i have 18 text boxes. i also have a text box that will calculate the total of all of the 18 other text boxes. what would be the best way to add these text boxes? i have already written code to only except numbers 1 thru 8 for each text box.i started with some code like this:

TextBoxTotal.Text = CInt(TextBoxHole1.Text) + CInt(TextBoxHole2.Text) + CInt(TextBoxHole3.Text)

but if there is no value in one of the text boxes i get an error:Conversion from string "" to type 'Integer' is not valid.so i am guessing i need to check for empty strings and then ignore them

Adding Values Of Two Arrays?

I'm making an application in school where I have to display the values of domestic, international, and total sales of company "Conway Enterprises." Everything seems to be working except it is not displaying the totalCompany sales as a currency. I'm sure it's probably an easy fix but I've been searching the internet and re-reading my book for awhile with no results. Below is the code, as I said everything seems to be working fine aside from adding the two array values and then displaying them as currency.

Adding Values To Array?

Feb 24, 2012

I am trying to run an event which will search through the different files in a given directory. The goal is to have it search for all files that begin with 'SP_', which are .sql files containing Stored Procedures. I would then like to add the full text of these Procedures to an array to be used later. This is causing an error when run, which I believe is because 'FullProcedureArray()', the string array I am trying to load does not have defined boundaries. When I declare it as 'FullProcedureArray(7)', or with some other value, it appears to run fine. But I don't want to have to hard-code a boundary for 'FullProcedureArray'; I would rather let it be defined by whatever the number of files in the folder is.

My question: Is there a way to declare 'FullProcedureArray' without having to give it an absolute value? I may just be missing something painfully obvious, but I haven't worked with this type of array much in the past.

Dim AppDataLocation As String = "C:FilesTestFiles"
Dim ProcedureArray As String()
Dim ProcedureText As String
