C# - Converting Video Files To .flv Files
Jul 7, 2009I am having a problem with converting video files to .flv files. I am using ffmpeg.exe tool to achieve this. Here on my local server when I use ffmpeg.exe tool with c# code everything is working good. But when I deploy the same code with ffmpeg tool on to my hosting server, where as .exe files are not allowed to execute, the code is not running. Is there any other way to achieve the same other than redirecting to video conversion sites because I want to save .flv files on my hosting server.

Jan 17, 2006How would one create video files in .NET? Any magical class library out there that allows you to capture images at a certain interval, then combine them into some popular video format? Any ways to capture streaming video from, say, a webcam? I have still images down pat, already made a couple different progs with that. Now looking for ideas on how to go about capturing actual video....
All that I have searched have brought be to DirectX, with DirectShow. Is there a different way? Every DirectX SDK I seem to download has everything but DirectShow (and with dialup, usually, when I say "Download" I mean, "installed it from a cd with the files downloaded by a friend on it" ).

If you haven't yet had a look at that other thread,Using the same reference as in the audio application, let's set up a form for video this time. I started with a form that I then placed a split container on and in the lower panel of the split contatiner, I placed the buttons and other controls. Following is how I have mine set up:

Mar 14, 2009I have an application and in this application there is a search option. I want the seach to search for all music and video files. I keep getting UnauthorizedAccessException error and I'm assuming its because my application is trying to access a file for witch access is being denied. This is the code that I am using.tbsearch is textbox and results is the listbox that the search results get added to.

Perhaps I need another hidden listbox that get the full name and then the results listbox retrieves only the last part of the path?

Apr 21, 2010I have two nested objects, and the form has two ListBoxes, where I want the last to respond to the selection of the former. It can even be some times deeper than 2 levels, which can make it a bit cumbersome. I solve it by raising events in any method that makes an add/delete/rename of these objects, and the form listens for these events, and when fired, clears it's lists, and loops through these objects to populate the lists again. binding lists, but this seems to introduce a few issues. First I need to keep a set of extra lists in the main BLL class, but more importantly, I feel I'm violating the layered structure between the BLL and the form, as in this case, the BLL needs to keep track of the current selected indexes of the listboxes in some variable. So that doesn't feel right, as it makes the BLL vulnerable to what the form does, and I assume is simply principally incorrect.
Following is example of object structure, where two ListBoxes should display "Company Names" and "Employee Names", and the Employee name listbox obviously change according to the selection in the Company Name listbox.

The routine knows which controls to update because the controls value is not empty, I don't want the routine setting the corresponding properties to nothing when the control is empty. Now I know how to do this perfectly fine with IF statements such as:

But this feels really redundant doing that same IF block over and over for each property/control combination, I thought about creating a separate routine that takes the control as an argument and does all the repetitive IF blocks but I don't know how I could also pass an object property to tell the routine to update that particular property.
